Hi everyone, the weather was a little chillier today but with lots of clouds. Got in a walk this afternoon, and I'm pooped, and starving. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the meatloaf platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, and a coca cola. Dinner rolls with that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. This weekend it looks like our temps will be in the upper 60s..

Hi, Zzyyggy. Meatloaf sounds wonderful. I’ll be dreaming of that meatloaf sandwich Francois made me for dinner. I love Francois. I need a chef like that in real life. In fact, the entire staff of the cybercafe can come live me. Well, except Igor. I draw the line on zombies.

Angf, I live southeast of Charlotte, North Carolina and cold weather means 55F/13C degree weather. By the middle of August cool is 86F/30C and it can feel downright comfortable. Also, just so you know we understand, chocolate is medicinal here at the cybercafe. It makes everything better because sometimes you just need chocolate.

Viktor, I’d like espresso chocolate chip ice cream with fudge sauce for dessert, please. Yes, this is a real thing. Edy’s ice cream makes it. I have no idea if they sell that near me. Sweetie refuses to look for it at the store and I don’t go shopping so I guess that’s probably a good thing. Right?

For lunch today I will take a double bacon cheese burger (no onions) with onion rings and a chocolate banana smoothie. One needs to treat yourself at lunch on a Friday. One of these days I might go inside, but it's to nice sitting outside here.

I take the ferry across the harbour to work. It was a beautiful crisp morning. I rode the ferry up top. It was probably to cold for some as I was the only one up top. Everyone else (not that many, it's March break) was below.

Yup, that’s pretty, Angf. Crisp morning? I’d be down below. I used to love cold weather. A walk in the snow, a wild, windy day—bring it on. Not anymore, moving south has made me less tolerant of cold weather. I bet that ferry ride would be delightful in July.

IT’S PI DAY! Viktor said that needed a loud announcement. Francois and his many kitchen elves have been making pies, even pizza pies are on the menu. Of course you could have shepherds pie or chicken pot pie, instead. I think I’ll order pie. I’ll stick with my favorite veggie supreme with extra, extra cheese pizza for dinner. I can’t decide on dessert. Francois made mini pies, but still, how am I supposed ever going to be able to taste them all? I’m heading out to the patio where I can swim in the pool or lounge on my chair for the afternoon and decide on dessert later. I’m set for the afternoon with my matching pink accessories—hat, sunglasses, coverup, flip flops and book cover on my favorite book. Viktor will be here momentarily with a pitcher of iced tea and a cheese and freggies plate with my favorite little cheese crackers. Ahh, what a lovely afternoon. Zzyyggy are you going to join me?

Hi everyone, yes it is pie day isn't it? For dinner tonight I'll have some shepherd's pie with lots of dinner rolls and butter. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a taste of those mini pies, especally the apple, and blueberry with an iced cafe mocha. I'll join you down by the pool Linda, since I haven't been swimming since Tuesday. Get ready for Cannon balls. Oh and Francois has lamb stew and corn beef and cabbage planned for St. Patrick's day.

Zzyyggy, Sweetie says he’s ordering the chocolate mousse pie. I ordered the double chocolate grasshopper ice cream pie. And maybe a bite of the chocolate mousse pie and that would taste pretty good with a blueberry pie chaser. Too much? Oh, coffee.

Don’t forget fish for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Irish fish pie is a cross between chicken pot pie and shepherd’s pie. It got a creamy white sauce for the fish and vegetables, but it’s covered with mashed potatoes. My favorite cabbage recipe is: cut cabbage in wedges stem to stern, brush with olive oil and lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste, bake under the broiler, turning to broil on each side. Broil until golden and tender.

Do they make green M&M’s for St Patrick’s Day? Wouldn’t they look lovely on my grasshopper pie.

Hi Linda, I do believe they make green m&ms for St. Patrick's day. That fish recipe does sound good though. Today we just have to get through the Ides of March. For dinner tonight I'm craving lasagna with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha. Our temps reached a high of 65 degrees. I got outside for a bit, but just to sit. I'll have dinner out on the terrace tonight.

Mmm, iced brownies with M&M’s on top. I’m definitely having that for dessert. Zzyyggy, your weather is really warm for Vermont. We had a mostly cloudy day. Tomorrow morning the storm that spawned all those tornadoes will be going through our area. We’re supposed to have lots of wind, but I’m not sure how much rain we’ll get. By afternoon the sun will be shining.

Good morning. Zzyyggy, I’m not sure whether we’ll have power later or not, so I figured I’d spend the day at the cybercafe reading and drinking coffee. It’s raining cats and dogs at the moment, but the worst of the storm is south of us in Georgia. Just lost power for a second. I’m on my phone now—got to go. See you later.

Hi Linda, I think we're getting the same storm later tonight. Really windy out there with temps in the 60s again. Got in a walk earlier. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday ham dinner with broccoli, scalloped potatoes, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. Hope you don't lose power Linda, then you can come and join me on the terrace for a bonfire and s'mores.

Hi Linda, Hope all is well. We had rain and snow today, and our temps dropped to 34 degrees. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the corn beef with potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. Lots of gravy with that and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some mint chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. The dining room looks great all in green with the 4 leaf clovers, and leprachauns.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Zzyyggy. Mint chocolate chip cookies and an Irish coffee for me tonight. I wouldn’t mind sitting in the dining room’s alcove near the fireplace. We went from temperatures in the 70’s to high 50’s today and it was really windy. Yesterday’s storm gave us over an inch of rain and wind gusts up to 40 mph. Our neighborhood was fine, but just a mile away from us neighborhoods were without power—they got power this morning (Friday). We were at Miss Nora’s salon today. She lives on the other side of town and they got more rain than we did. It was cold in her shop, as always. I wondered if she had the air conditioner on. I didn’t ask. Anyway, I’m finally warming up now that it’s 10:00 pm.

Since someone turned up the toaster and I burned my bagel as a result, I will take a chocolate croissant please and a large mocha

Hi everyone, It warmed up today here, and we had lots of sunshine. I got in a swim, and then walked home. For dinner tonight I'm going to have some grilled chicken with potato salad, and green beans and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight. Welcome back angf0679

Hey, everyone. Oh, chocolate croissants and grilled chicken potato salad, and green beans would be phenomenal. Sweetie and I made shepherds pie for lunch and supper was a small plate—fresh veggies, some dried fruit, and whatever protein we have. Eating the bigger meal at lunch and a smaller one in the evening works great for anyone with reflux. Of course, Sweetie doesn’t have reflux and he eats right before he goes to bed every night. I can’t imagine doing that.

Mm, the chocolate croissant tastes delicious with an iced mocha. (Viktor will be by any minute with refills.) We had a perfect day at home. The sun was shining and it was 71 degrees with 16% humidity! Wow, I need to remember what that feels like when it’s the middle of August and hot and humid as all get out. Sweetie even mowed the lawn. The red azaleas are blooming, the maple leaves are opening up, even the irises are up. I’m waiting for our late frost.

Hi everyone, we had a nice warm day with lots of sunshine, and clear blue skies. Spent some time outside for a bit temps were in the upper 60s. Didn't do much of anything but read outside. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the macaroni and cheese platter with peas, bread and butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars, and an iced mocha. I think I'll eat down by the pool after a quick swim. Then have s'mores while watching the sunset.

Zzyyggy, these s’mores are a great idea. 😋 Mm, so good with my coffee. I would really love a cup of coffee right now. I wonder if it would keep me awake.

It was 80 degrees today, but tomorrow the high will be 65. Ah, Spring weather.

Hi Linda, we had 70 degrees here with lots of sunshine. Got in a swim and a walk this morning. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried scallops basket with french fries, a coca cola, coleslaw, and lots of tarter sauce. For dessert I'll have some ice cream sandwhiches and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy the sunset on the terrace with a a bond fire and a round of s'mores.

Zzyyggy, I’m late tonight, but I’m here. Sweetie wants a sundae with vanilla ice cream topped with pecans and drizzled with thick caramel. I’ll have s’mores with my favorite chocolate covered caramels. Viktor said he’d be here with coffees momentarily.

I’ve decided that my favorite caramels are Russell Stover caramels. Maybe it’s because that’s what I grew up with? Grandma always had a box of Russell Stover chocolate with caramels at every holiday. Russell Stover has Easter Egg caramels that are flat and they would fit perfectly in a s’mores sandwich.

Hello everyone. angf0679 we have a chocolate fountain for those who need their chocolate fix. Feel free to dip into it at any time. Plus our resident chef Francois can makes the very best chocolate. For dinner tonight I'm going to have fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a brownie and an iced cafe mocha. We had an interesting day today weather wise. It started out with snow, and 32 degrees. Now we have lots of sunshine with temps in the 50s. I also just got a cat this morning. Adopted her from the Humane society. She's a little over a year old, and all black, short haired. She's asleep in my closet right now after spending the day investigating her new surroundings. Her name is Romana, and I'll have some pictures pretty soon. Just trying to get them from my kindle to computer which shouldn't be too hard because they are both with Amazon.

Hi, Angf and Zzyyggy. Viktor, I need macaroni and cheese; double cheese on that, please. Chocolate, I need chocolate, too. I got a new laptop and I hate it. It’s probably very nice, but I don’t like change. My old laptop is terribly outdated and slow and I hate Microsoft because I can’t update the stupid old laptop and now I have to sync everything and did I mention I hate change? I need to accept that every 15-20 years technology changes and a new computer might be a good idea.

I wonder if Viktor would be upset if I were to lie down in the chocolate fountain and drink the chocolate from there. Probably. Okay, okay, I won’t do it, mostly because I can imagine compulsively washing chocolate off for days. Virtually, of course.

Oh, and Sweetie is driving me crazy. Our air filter needs to have the filter replaced. He already order two new ones months ago because we needed to change the filter. Does he believe me? No. I tell him to check our old orders. Does he? Not until he’s already ordered two more filters. I . . . need chocolate. Coffee would be good, too. Lots of coffee. I think I need a nap. He can’t remember where he put the extra filter and would I know where it might be? No. The thing is big and difficult to miss, he’ll find it. Maybe. 🤔

Hi Linda, and Angf. Linda you sound like you really need chocolate, but I would drink it with a glass or mug not take a bath in it, although that does sound like fun, but being cholatey, and sticky all over doesn't seem like fun. I'm going to have a big ole bacon cheeseburger with lots fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars, and an iced mocha.

Heres my new roommate happily asleep on a pile of sheets and pants. Don't worry they are all clean.

Zzyyggy, love your new roommate. You’ll have to get a picture of her face. I just dropped by for a cup of tea and some molasses ginger cookies before I head off to bed.

I can't cook right now so I can here. I will have chicken parmesan please and a 5 layer chocolate cake for dessert.

Though I was wonder, in this cafe, do you automatically know how to swim? That pool looks good and I am not a strong swimmer

    My reason I can't cook:

Hi everyone, Angf0679 good reason not to cook. Here at the cyber cafe we have all kinds of water floaties for you to play in, and the pool can be what ever depth you need it to be. Linda, I'll be taking a lot more pictures. I'm starving tonight. For dinner I'm going to have the Sunday pork roast with mashed potatoes, string beans, dinner rolls and lots of gravy. A coca cola with all that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with chocolate ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight. It got really cold around here today, although we did have a lot of sunshine.

Ang, can I borrow your cat? Wait, are you the cat? I’ve heard that people identify as cats . . . Your cat is beautiful. It’s terribly inconvenient to have to order out or even go out to eat. 😉 We’ll gladly join you—here at the cybercafe—out on the terrace, right Zzyyggy? Everyone knows how to swim at the cybercafe. I can even scuba dive and ski at the cybercafe. Not something I can do IRL.

Francois, the chef, makes delicious cakes. My favorite is his dark chocolate 7 layer cake, with alternating hazelnut creme and raspberry creme filling, iced with chocolate ganache, and topped with chocolate curls. Sometimes he cuts slices of the cake and enrobes them in chocolate. Chocolate ice cream topped with hot fudge or chocolate sauce is the perfect complement, but only if you really need chocolate. He also makes a lovely Italian cream cake and Zzyyggy’s devil’s food cake. He makes me my favorite birthday cake, too—German chocolate cake with vanilla icing. We should order a sample platter and coffees or tea.

Zzyyggy, we had another gorgeous day, 74 degrees and sunny. I was stuck inside doing paperwork and reading. I completely lost track of time until Sweetie asked what’s for dinner. I took pity on him because he’s doing the taxes, so I told him I’d fix pasta with chicken and vegetables and he could add cheese if he wanted macaroni and cheese. I was cooking his pasta and cutting vegetables for my chicken and vegetables and he comes in and says he’ll make tuna salad. So I added the vegetables to his tuna and he made tuna noodle salad. I put tuna salad on some lettuce for me. It doesn’t sound like much, but I really enjoyed it.
