Hi, Zzyyggy. I ordered the same thing you ordered, except my muffins are chocolate chip pecan muffins with cream cheese frosting and Viktor brought out a carafe of cafe au lait for me.

We had a sunny morning and a cloudy afternoon with the temperature in the mid 70’s. It was supposed to rain. In fact it did rain —I’m certain I saw at least four raindrops on the deck. It’s so dry that the rain evaporated above us. It got windy, too. I love days like today. I saw the email about the Google AI stuff, but I haven’t played with it yet. I remember the card catalogue. I remember spending lots of time in college pouring over those cards while doing research papers.

Sweetie is still working on my sink. What an annoying job. Poor Sweetie. His back has been bothering him. I hope working under the sink doesn’t make his back even worse. I didn’t realize changing a faucet would be so difficult, but he had to change the supply line and the drain as well.

Hi Linda, I'm here for the early early bird special. I'm going to have the fried haddock with baked potatoe, and cole slaw, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I went swimming earlier, and then walked home. I had to stop at a couple of places. I'm pooped tonight so I think it'll be an early dinner and bed.

Zzyyggy, sweet dreams. You’re probably already asleep as I post this. I just came in for dessert. I ordered a piece of apple pie with caramel swirl ice cream and a cup of coffee. I think I’ll spend the rest of the evening in the Club Room reading my book.

Sweetie was still searching for a part for my bathroom sink today. Instead of going back to Lowe’s he decided to go to the local plumbing store. He took the drain pipe with him so he could find the right gasket. By the time he stepped into the store the clerk was holding the right part in his hand. When Sweetie asked the clerk how much he owed him, the clerk said Sweetie didn’t owe him anything. Apparently, this is a frequent problem. In fact, the builder’s plumber used the wrong gaskets in our house and that was why all the drain pipes were stuffed with plumber’s putty. When we first moved in our house Sweetie had to unclog the kitchen sink, the garbage disposal, and all the bathroom sinks. And that’s also why he had to replace the drain pipe.

Hi Linda, I'm glad you were able to get everything fixed. Isn't it nice to have someone around who knows what they are doing. We had cold and clouds out there today. I didn't do too much of anything. I would love a quarter pounder with cheese, and bacon. Frenchfries, and a coca cola from you know where. For dessert I'll have one their apple pies, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight and enjoy the warm tropical sunshine. Tonight it's suppose to get really cold again.

Oh, Zzyyggy! You caught me napping out here on the terrace. Fast food burger and fries sounds good. I’ll have a Dr. Pepper with mine. That apple pie was real good, but I ordered ice cream instead. It’s been awhile since I ordered chocolate chip mint ice cream with fudge sauce whipped cream and chocolate covered espresso beans.

We’re supposed to have cooler weather tomorrow, too— 52 degrees instead of mid 60’s to the mid 70’s. We’re expecting some rain this coming week, but they’re calling for rain next Saturday. We scheduled a company to power wash the outside of our house; power washing soffits, facia, and windows. They were supposed to come a couple of weeks ago, but that day it was below freezing with rain, sleet, and snow, and winds gusting over 25 mph. We canceled and rescheduled so I’m hoping for good weather. Sweetie used to power wash everything, but he’s getting older (77 years old) and I don’t want him climbing up and down ladders with a power washer.

Hi, Zzyyggy, happy Sunday! Whew, I think I’ve had way too much coffee today. It’s extremely sunny outside. I need clouds, cute little clouds or big steel grey clouds, it doesn’t matter which, although rain clouds would be best. The humidity is below 20% and there are fire warnings today.

I ordered a Shamrock Shake (I’ve never actually had one of those 🤷‍♀️) and brownies with vanilla frosting. Perhaps not the healthiest dinner, but this is the cybercafe after all. It’s fabulous out here on the patio by the pool. Igor and Jorge put shamrock green umbrellas on all the tables—don’t worry the cloth inside the umbrellas is white. Green lining on the umbrellas would make us look sickly. I’ve been sitting at the edge of the pool with my feet in the water enjoying the sunshine. I’d best get up and find a table before Viktor delivers my order.

Hi Linda, that's right St. Patrick's day is coming up. No wonder the place is turning green. I'm going to have pork chops for Sunday dinner with scalloped potatoes and peas. Dinner rolls and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some chocolate fudge brownies with an iced mocha. It was cold around here the high being about 9 degrees. The wind was brutal. I did get in a quick walk this afternoon. I'll eat out on the terrace and once again enjoy the warm tropical sunshine.

Good morning, Zzyyggy. I’m raiding the cybercafe’s refrigerator for breakfast this morning. The scalloped potatoes look good, but I’ll need a protein, hmm. I think sausage and eggs would taste great with scalloped potatoes. Viktor already brought my Peet’s Cafe Domingo in those wonderful thermal carafes that I love because they keep the coffee hot. The best thing about the carafe is that when the cream and sugar is added to the coffee in the carafe, it makes the coffee taste caramelized—it must be the steam. The perfect complement to the delicious mini pastries Francois makes just for breakfast.

Wow, that’s way different from the steamed vegetables, lentils, and chicken I actually had for breakfast.

Hi Linda, we had lots of sunshine again today. Which warmed temps up to 26 degrees. It's going to get a lot warmer over the next couple of days, but lots of rain. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a bacon, and lettuce grinder with mayo, and extra bacon. A coca cola, and bag of chips with that please. For dessert I'll have one of those large m&m cookies with an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again tonight. I love watching the sunset over the ocean.

Hi Linda, we are having snow now, but it was very mild today with lots of sunshine. Got in a walk this afternoon. For dinner tonight I would love some chicken nuggets with fries, barbecue sauce with that and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight, and watch the sunset over the ocean again.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I meant to post earlier, but I was busy. Sweetie and I are going to order dessert. M&M’s cookies with coffee would be perfect for me. Sweetie would love some rice pudding topped with whipped cream with his coffee. I made my homemade tomato sauce tonight. I added ground beef, baby spinach, and tortellini. It was so good.

The sunset over the ocean is beautiful tonight. It’s so nice out here on the terrace, I think I’ll spend the evening relaxing out here. At home we’re getting ready for a very windy and rainy morning tomorrow. Well, you’ll be reading this after the storm. Looks like you’re going to get similar weather. We’re praying the rain puts out the fires that are burning in the Carolinas.

Hi Linda, yeah we're getting rain. I got in a walk before the rains came this afternoon. It's melting all the snow. For dinner tonight I will have the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha.

Zzyyggy, it’s not fun to wake up to the phone making a klaxon sound because there’s a tornado warning. The tornado touched down ten miles north of us at 8:30 right next to the high school. It destroyed an outbuilding next door to the school and took a whole lot of electric lines and poles down. And, yes, the kids were in school. The winds were at 90 mph. Scary that. I don’t know what the winds were at our house, but it was pouring rain and the wind sure was blowing hard. The rest of the day was windy, sunny, and warm.

We had lentils with chicken and vegetables with a salad for dinner. We’re going to wait for Sunset Dessert for dessert. I want a carafe of coffee and some dark and milk chocolate covered caramel. Sweetie says he likes Heath Bars better.

  • Zzyyggy
    Zzyyggy Posts: 1,320 Member

Yes I guess that is not a good wake up call. I'm glad the tornado wasn't that close to you. We had a day of rain, rain, and clouds. Also fog. It was pretty seasonable though at 40 degrees. For dinner tonight I would love the fried chicken platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, beans and dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight. I finally bit the bullet and bought eggs from our local coop. I get the local free range chicken eggs. They went from 4.00 to about 9.00 for a carton of 12. They'll last me a bit, because I don't eat eggs that often. I wonder how much they are at the restaurant for breakfast? They are still free at the cyber cafe though.

Gee, Zzyyggy, eggs have gotten outrageously pricey again. Hopefully, they can find a way to combat bird flu. I wonder how long it will take the market to stabilize. I know restaurants have put a surcharge on eggs. Sweetie loves eggs and eats them for breakfast almost every day. I only eat eggs at the cybercafe.

I’ll join you on the terrace for dessert. I ordered bread pudding with caramel sauce for Sweetie. Viktor said he’d be right out with my coffee and cookies. I was thinking about store bought cookies we used to buy and decided I’d order some Vienna Fingers and windmill cookies. Utz—the company that sells pretzels and potato chips used to sell spice cookies in the fall. That was probably over 20 years ago. They were delicious. I’d like some of those, too. I figured I should satisfy my cookie cravings at the cybercafe. I like Dewey’s Bakery triple ginger cookies and Tate’s chocolate chip cookies, too. Maybe I could dip them in chocolate—milk chocolate and dark chocolate and white chocolate. I’ll have sweet dreams tonight just thinking about all the wonderful, scrumptious cookies. Perhaps I could include all the Christmas cookies on my list.

Hi Linda, I love all those cookies. I've been getting Keebler fudge covered mint cookies. They taste like thin mints from the Girl scouts. For dinner tonight, I would love the fried scallop dinner with french fries, coleslaw and a coca cola. Lots of tarter sauce with that. For dessert I'll have some of those cookies and an iced mocha. Even though we had lots of sunshine today I'm going to eat down by the pool after a quick swim. I haven't done any swimming since Monday just walking.

Zzyyggy, Keebler fudge covered mint cookies sound yummy, I’ll have some of those. Viktor said he’ll make a tray for us with a nice selection of cookies. Coffee and cookies—I can’t wait.

Hi Linda, the sun was out most of the day today, but that wind was cold. I only stuck my nose out for a minute. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the prime rib plate with baked potato, and a salad. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of devil's food cake with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha.

I'll eat out on the terrace tonight and watch the sun set. The dining room is getting greener and greener. I love the 4 leaf clovers floating on the fish tanks.

Hi, Zzyyggy. We had a beautiful, sunny, windy day. Oh, and it was nice and toasty at 76 degrees. It would be wonderful if the weather stayed like this. We had our house power washed this morning. They did a terrific job. It really needed it.

Sweetie and I had rotisserie chicken for dinner and Francois made potato salad and fresh green beans from the garden right here at the cybercafe. It’s birthday month for the guys in the family and I ordered birthday cake from Francois. When you order birthday cake at the cybercafe, everyone gets what they want. It’s magical. My favorite is German chocolate cake iced with vanilla buttercream frosting. In fact, I ordered my favorite cake and coffee and I’ll join you on the terrace.

Zzyyggy, I noticed the decorations in the dining room. It looks nice, although the cybercafe diner is a bit overdone. I’m not sure whether it’s the gold and green garland or the big leprechaun waving by the front door that takes it over the top.

  • Zzyyggy
    Zzyyggy Posts: 1,320 Member

Hi Linda, well you know how Igor is. He loves his decorating. The giant leprechaun might be a bit too much. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, beans, and gravy. Dinner rolls and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. We had off and on snow today, mostly cloudy but mild temps at 36 degrees. We're suppose to get up to the 60s later this week. I got in a walk this afternoon, and I'm pooped tonight.

Zzyyggy, I ordered the same thing you did, even the dessert, except I’m having hot coffee. When the sun was shining it felt warm today at 58 degrees, but it got overcast after 1:00 pm and with the wind blowing it felt chilly. I’d like to sit by the fireplace in the dining room tonight. Jorge made sure there’s a nice warm fire for us.

I guess Spring has arrived in the Charlotte area. The Bradford pear trees are blooming, Sweetie mowed the lawn on Friday, and temperatures are going to rise up into the 70’s this week and stay that way for a while. We’ll still have colder days here and there and there’s always a couple of late hard frosts.

Hi Linda, it's deffinitely spring around here. The snow is melting, and the mud puddles are blooming. We had a high of 43 degrees with lots of sunshine, and clear blue skies. I had P T this morning so didn't go out for a walk. I might still the sun is still out. For dinner tonight I would love the diner fried chicken platter with mashed potatos, gravy, corn, dinner rolls and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again, and enjoy the sunset.

Zzyyggy, we’ve had a rainy day and I would love to sit out on the terrace this evening and have coffee and cookies. I hope your PT is going well. I fell asleep and slept for 4 hours this afternoon. That was NOT my plan.

I have to decide what to order for lunch.

Hi everyone, welcome to the cyber cafe angf0679, everything is good here, and with no calories. Our temps today topped out at 56 degrees with lots of sunshine. Got in a swim and a walk this morning stopping at the grocery store on my way back. For dinner tonight I'm going to have macaroni and cheese with dinner rolls and butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace and watch the sunset again.

Hi, Zzyyggy and @angf0679. Ah, another night out on the terrace. I’m ready for Sunset Dessert. Sweetie made delicious chicken vegetable soup for dinner tonight and Francois, the cybercafe’s famous chef, served us sourdough bread still warm from the oven. Sweetie and I ordered lemon meringue pie for dessert, which Viktor served with iced tea.

I have several different weather apps. I think they’re confused. One says the temperature in Charlotte will be 70 degrees on Thursday and another says it will be 80 degrees. 🤔 The third app is hedging their bets at 73 degrees. Personally, I’d prefer 55 degrees.

For breakfast I think I will have 3 blueberry pancakes covered in butter, fresh real maple syrup and cool whip with a nice large coffee with one creamer and one sugar.

I'm not sure I have every eaten breakfast outside before. It's so nice to have this nice sunny and warm weather. I am more then ready for spring, make the summer, where I live.

Hi everyone, yes breakfast is nice outside angf0679, so isn't dinner. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the roast beef grinder with the works, chips and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have one of those giant chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. Linda, our temps this week are all over the place as well. Today they were in the 20s, tomorrow it's back in the 50s, and this weekend it'll be in the 60s. I'm looking forward to the weekend.

Good evening, everyone. Angf’s blueberry pancakes sounded so good I decided to order them for dessert. I’ll have Viktor add some whipped cream on top of the butter and syrup. Oh, wait, let me check in the gazebo’s ice cream freezer and I can see if there’s vanilla ice cream I can add on top of my pancakes, too. Viktor said he’d be out with our favorite beverages. I need a cup of coffee or two.

Zzyyggy, it was 79 degrees in the Charlotte are today. It was beautiful. Our maple trees are dropping all sorts of mess on our driveway and the backyard was covered in sweet gum balls until Sweetie chopped them up with the lawn mower this afternoon. Spring is definitely here.

I needed to come back and cure my craving for chocolate and just to eat cause I want to and don't need to , with no worry of calories.

I will take two warm chocolate chip cookies, a bowl of chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate sprinkles and a tall class of chocolate milk.

AH LindaK125 that sounds so nice. Up here in Nova Scotia it's a couple degrees below freezing. Yesterday it got up to 8 degrees above freezing. I hate the fluctuating temperatures this time of year.
