I’ll have chicken and gravy with biscuits for dinner. Mm, delicious. Definitely inspired, Zzyyggy. Oh, and I’ll have some cookies, too. Francois made some extra crispy for me. Great sunset at the cybercafe this evening. Mm, it could be the cookies.

Viktor, may I please have another cup of coffee?

Hi Linda, we had a really nice sunny day in the real world, but it was cold at 18 degrees. Got in a swim and a walk. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried scallop dinner with french fries, tarter sauce and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies again, and an iced mocha. I need warmth so I'll enjoy the warm tropical air out on the terrace.

Zzyyggy, it’s so nice out here on the terrace this evening. We had a nice day at home today, but the temperature dropped to 37 degrees by 8:00 pm. It will be below freezing overnight. I think we’re done with lows in the teens for the season. Looks like you’re in for a good amount of snow this weekend. We’ll get rain and maybe some sleet from the storm.

It’s been a quiet Valentine’s Day today. It usually is. We always make a special dinner for two and enjoy some quiet time together. Of course, Viktor is on his way out with our coffees and desserts and I see he’s bringing a special Valentine’s surprise with him. 💝 It’s velvet heart shaped boxes filled with Francois’ homemade candies. 💝 Mine has dark and milk chocolate covered caramels. 💝 What’s in yours?

Hi Linda, mine is filled with Lake Champlain chocolates, dark, and milk. We're getting snow now, and it's coming down pretty hard. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the bacon cheeseburger with fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. Another night of sitting out on the terrace.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Nice evening out here on the terrace. Chocolates and snow! Sounds wonderful to me. The storm is staying mostly north and west of us. I’m disappointed, but we had a dark, dreary day with an occasional drizzle. The kind of day you’d find in a gothic novel where the afternoon light is similar to twilight. I liked it.

Last night we made meatloaf hamburgers for dinner. Sweetie makes the best meatloaf—even better than Francois’ meatloaf. (Don’t tell Francois I said that.) Tonight Sweetie made sautéed butter chicken breasts (I gave cooking instructions and seasoned the dredging flour for the chicken). I made spaghetti in a cherry tomato sauce made with fresh cherry tomatoes, peppers, and onions and added a can of seasoned diced tomatoes. The spaghetti gets cooked in the sauce so you have to add enough water to the sauce as the pasta is cooking. It was delicious and it was fun to cook side by side. A special meal for Valentine’s Weekend. 💝 Better still is that Sweetie is doing the dishes! Oh, I know I’ll have to go in later and finish cleaning the kitchen. I don’t mind, at least he’ll get the worst of it. For some reason he doesn’t wash all the counters or the sink. He only occasionally cleans the stove, but he leaves it all cloudy looking. Maybe he doesn’t rinse off the soap? 🤷‍♀️

What would we ever do for dessert without the cybercafe’s famous chef, Francois? He made our favorite Seven Layer Chocolate Cake with the alternating layers of hazelnut creme and raspberry creme fillings, iced with chocolate ganache, liberally sprinkled with dark chocolate curls and served with a generous dollop (or three) of whipped cream. The cake goes well with Francois’ homemade raspberry swirl ice cream—he made both vanilla raspberry swirl and chocolate raspberry swirl ice cream. Bet that would be good with chocolate sauce. Sweetie says he’ll have a piece of cake, a scoop of each of the raspberry swirl ice creams, and a cup of coffee, too. That what I ordered, too.

I think I’m fixated on chocolate and raspberry lately. Ah, here’s Viktor with our coffees and desserts.

Hi Linda, Coming from the snowy North East. We've had snow and wind all day. I'm glad I didn't have to go out there today. It was really blowing there for a bit. It's been snowing all day. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the Sunday roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some of that 7 layer chocolate cake and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again tonight. I miss the sunshine.

Zzyyggy, did you end up getting 10 inches of snow? I saw there was a whole lot of snow up north. We had .33 inches of rain. The wind started blowing at 25 mph and we could hear rolling thunder and then it rained straight against the back of our house for about 10 minutes and then everything quieted down. It rained a bit more and the wind was blowing and the clouds blew away and the sun came out. And it was warm—67 degrees this afternoon.

I wouldn’t mind having more of that cake. The chocolate cake and the homemade raspberry swirl ice cream is delicious. I’m glad Viktor brought a carafe of coffee made exactly the way I like it. It’s such a lovely evening out here on the terrace at the cybercafe.

Hi Linda, I think we got more then 10 inches of snow up here. We didn't get the ice or sleet other parts of the state did thank goodness, but we did get the wind, and it was brutal. Never go for a walk with your walker the day after a storm. I'm beat. I'm here for the early bird special. I think I'll have the porter house steak with bake potato, lots of butter, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have another slice of that 7 layer cake with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again tonight and enjoy the warm tropical sunshine.

Zzyyggy, I can’t even imagine going for a walk with temperatures in the teens and snow and ice on sidewalks and streets without a walker! Of course, we don’t have many, or any, snow storms like that. In 2017 we did get 9 inches of snow. The snow lasted for three days. Maybe not too amazing to you, but all the kids in the neighborhood were thrilled. We had a 30 degree temperature drop from yesterday and the rest of the week will be colder. There’s another big storm coming and, yup, the snow line is just north of us. 😢

Sweetie and I are going to have the 7 layer chocolate cake for dessert, too. Sweetie wants his with vanilla ice cream and a regular coffee. I ordered mine with the raspberry swirl vanilla ice cream and a regular coffee. Viktor should be here any second with our desserts.

Hi Linda, the walking was much better today. There was still some slushy snow, but the sidewalks were mostly plowed out. There was lots of sunshine, but man it was cold with that wind again. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the diner fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, dinner rolls, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again. It's cold around here in the real world. The coming storm is going to the south of us so we won't get it either.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I ordered the cheeseburger for dinner and pumpkin pie for dessert. Viktor brought extra whipped cream out for my pie and I put some whipped cream in my coffee. 😋 It’s very late for coffee, but I’m going to order another cup.

We had a nice Tuesday afternoon at Miss Nora’s and for once it wasn’t freezing in her salon. The temperature is dropping into the 20’s overnight and we’re going to have some winter weather by morning. For us that means snow, rain, and sleet. Fun times.

Hi Linda, theres no caffein in the coffee around here. We had lots of sunshine today and the temps were reasonable at 14 degrees with no gusting wind. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the meatloaf platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, lots of dinner rolls with butter, and a coca cola. I'll eat in the dining room by the fire tonight. I've seen enough sunshine today.

Zzyyggy! Yikes, 14 degrees! Today the temperature was in the low 30’s southeast of Charlotte and it was cold enough for me. We got snow and rain and sleet—not too much, but it might be enough to make the roads slippery. Tonight was definitely a macaroni and cheese night. Sweetie made chicken vegetable soup and wouldn’t that be good in macaroni and cheese? But now I’m considering dessert. Chocolate would be preferable.I know! German chocolate brownies with vanilla buttercream icing is perfect. Francois probably already baked those because he’s psychic. Viktor will make sure you have your iced mocha and bring a pot of coffee for me.

Zzyyggy, we got a tiny bit of snow this morning. You might look at it and say that it wasn’t snow at all. Francois said he was making soup. I was hoping for chili. Chili and nachos would be yummy. Something chocolate for dessert would be good, too. I just came in for a quick soda and I’ll be back later.

Hi Linda, it's still cold around here at 18 degrees. The lake has a ton of ice on it, but I still wouldn't go on it. I haven't seen anyone on it yet. Did a whole lot of nothing today. Finally got my renter credit check this afternoon. I smell chowder. Francois made some of his famous seafood chowder. I'll have a large bowl of that with some crusty bread and butter, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven, and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy it inside by the fire again tonight. It was cold out there today. I really need to find a tropical island getaway.

Viktor, I’ll have what she’s having, please, and tortilla chips and coffee. I think seafood chowder and tortilla chips will be good together. We’ve had some cold weather the last couple of days, but warmer weather is on the way. In the meantime sitting by the fire at the cybercafe sounds wonderful. I think the warm, fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies will be delicious with your iced mocha, but I’ll have my mocha hot.

I’ve got my fuzzy bunny slippers and I’m ready to sit by the fire. No tropical islands for me, Zzyyggy. Charlotte in the summer is hot enough and way too humid. Isn’t there anywhere in the world where the temperature is 75 degrees year round and not buggy? Oh, yeah, that’s the cybercafe whenever I need it, unless I desperately need snow or rain. I love stormy weather.

Hi Linda, it's downright balmy around here at 20 degrees with no wind. Just got back from a walk, deposited my renter credit check, and spent some. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried scallops with frenchfries, and coleslaw. Lots of tarter sauce and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight and watch the sunset.

Hi, Zzyyggy. We had a beautiful sunny day (45 degrees), although I didn’t make outside today. I did manage to get some laundry done. Yeah, big day. I didn’t get a good nights sleep last night so tonight I’m planning on going to bed early. Hopefully 🤞.

It’s another macaroni and cheese night. Francois made pasta with lots of vegetables and a delicious cheese sauce with some kind of fancy name. Looks good to me. I ordered a fruit and chocolate board for later this evening. Viktor said he’ll bring it out to the terrace with refills for our drinks. I’ll have to decide between iced coffee or iced tea. It all sounds good.

Hi Linda, we had another gorgeous sunny day out there, and it was 30 degrees a real heat wave for us. The wind wasn't blowing either. I didn't get outside though. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the country style pork ribs with steak fries, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy it out on the terrace and watch the sunset.

Zzyyggy, pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream sounds really good. Viktor promised to bring a carafe of coffee made just the way I like it. It lovely to sit out here on terrace and enjoy the warm breeze this evening. We had a chilly day at home. It looked sunny and started to warm up in the 50’s. By afternoon the clouds came in and I thought it might storm, but it didn’t.

I can’t wait for Sunday Brunch at the Cybercafe. Francois is making streusel topped muffins, fruit and cheese danish, and his selection of mini pastries. Of course, there’s all the normal breakfast and lunch options. Plus, he made sourdough bread—french toast, avocado toast, or Sweetie’s favorite bread pudding.

Good morning, Welcome to Sunday Brunch. Zzyyggy, it’s a beautiful morning. (Although, at home it was 28 degrees earlier, at least the sun was shining.) Viktor just delivered another basket of pastries and my cheese and vegetable omelet. Oh, delicious. I’m planning on taking a hike up into the mountains here at the cybercafe later today. Nothing too adventurous. You’re welcome to join me. Francois is making boxed lunches for the hike.

Hi Linda, we had 35 degrees today which is downright balmy for us. The lake though is frozen over in the shallow part, and I've been watching people walk out on it to the breaker. Got in a walk in the morning, and then a longer one in the afternoon. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I would join you on your hike, but I think you'll be up and back by the time I got in. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight.

Zzyyggy, I had a wonderful hike. Dinner was my favorite sundried tomato chicken with stuffed baked potato. My potato had broccoli I think I’ll order coffee and some of the thin, crispy chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Looks like the weather will be warmer for both of us this week, except we’ll be almost 30 degrees warmer than you are. This coming week might not be a good time to go out on the ice once the temperature starts to hover around 40 degrees.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I’m tired this evening. It’s 9:30 pm and I’m ready for bed. I’m staying at the Cybercafe Inn for the night. I figured I’d come out on the terrace for a cup of tea and some lemon shortbread cookies before I head on up to my room for the night. Looks like you had a busy day and you’ll be making it an early night, too.

Hi Linda, it was raining this afternoon, and it's turning all that snow into mushy puddles. Didn't get out today. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the bacon and lettuce grinder extra bacon with a bag of chips and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have the large chocolate chip cookie with an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again tonight. No sunshine today. We had temps in the 40s.

Zzyyggy, it was 73 degrees this afternoon and sunny. I’m already missing winter. Sweetie says I wouldn’t last one day with real winter weather. He’s probably right, I have become a hothouse flower. I’m sorry the rain washed away your snow and created a muddy mess. Maybe I have been idealizing winter. I had a really frustrating night last night. I was getting ready for bed and my sink started leaking all over the place. I started pulling everything out from under the sink and the epsom salts spilled all over the wet floor. Sweetie got the water turned off fast and today he bought a new faucet. Thank goodness. But I had to deal with the epsom salts. Sweetie wiped up the water and most of the epsom salts. I’ve washed the floor twice today, but it still has streaks. What a mess.

Fortunately, Francois made me my own personal pizza with all my favorite toppings and Viktor made sure that the ice cream freezer in the gazebo on the terrace has double caramel Magnum Bars and Klondike bars. I love being spoiled at the cybercafe.

Wow, Linda, you did have a rough night. Have another klondike bar. Pizza sounds good tonight. I'll have mine with the works, and chicken wings with a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some of the double chocolate klondike bars with an iced mocha. We had lots of sunshine and temps pretty darn close to 50. I got in a swim, and then walked home stopping at the library and bank. Everyone and their uncle were out, and the snow piles are now ice water lakes. But I did see a robin this morning.

Zzyyggy, it sounds like you had a great day. It was 76 degrees today in the Charlotte area, although I was busy doing housework and didn’t get outside. I still don’t have my bathroom sink, maybe, hopefully, tomorrow.

I ordered a Nestle’s Crunch Ice Cream Bar for dessert. I had to Google that to know if they’re still around. They are. A Crunch Ice Cream Bar with an iced mocha would be wonderful.

Hi Linda, we had a miserable day out there weather wise. It snowed, then rained, and now it's just foggy out there. Didn't get out, but I heard there was a lot of puddles around. For dinner tonight I'm going to go breakfast I would love a 3 egg omlette with cheese, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. Lots of cheese on that omlette. Bacon, hash browns, and those homemade english muffins. A tall glass of orange juice with all that. For dessert I'll have some cinnamon muffins and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight since we didn't see any sunshine. Isn't google wonderful? I've been testing out the A1 part and it's interesting. Remember when we had to go to the library and look stuff up on the index cards?
