    Zzyyggy, let’s start our dinner with some savory pastries first. Perhaps a sausage and onion hand pie, quiche Lorraine, tomato tart, and/or spanakopita to start with. Oh, the desserts! Apple strudel, creme brûlée, palmiers, macarons, fruit tarts or cream tarts, pies, cakes, breads—really a pastry chef does it all, even the puddings, fillings and icings. Tante Marie’s kitchen specializes in making all those delicious breakfast pastries, donuts, and pies served at the cybercafe. There are other chefs with their own kitchens who make cakes or bread and rolls. The rumor is there are even some cookie elves.

    I can’t decide on donuts, mini danish, or a piece of French Silk Pie. The French Silk Pie has a chocolate crumb crust sealed with a layer of dark chocolate ganache. I think I’ll have that with chocolate curls on top. I bet that would taste really good with M&M’s. Mm, coffee.

    For lunch today I will have the turkey soup with tea biscuits and water to drink. For dessert I will have the chocoatle cheesecake with an iced mocha.

    I will take it inside today. I haven't eaten inside yet as I am usually outside. I need to change it up a bit

    Hi everyone, I'm going to have the Sunday roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, dinner rolls, and a coca cola please. For dessert I'll have some angel food cake with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'm going to enjoy the warm tropical sunshine on the terrace since I haven't been out all day. It just barely stopped raining out there and the sun is finally out after two days of rain.

    Angf! You have to check out the aquarium in the dining room. It’s always interesting and it gets decorated for every occasion (or just because). The dining room has an alcove with a lovely fireplace and couches, chairs, and recliners. I’m sure you won’t mind sharing your chair with a cat or two. Soche and Useless will happily keep you company. It’s a good night for soup—the temperature has dropped below 72 in my house.

    After I finish my soup , I’ll head out to the terrace with Zzyyggy and check to seee if her ice cream freezer has any double caramel Magnum Bars.

    Hi everyone, we are having 70 degree weather here in the real world. yeah. The lake is as calm as calm can be, and theres no wind. I sat outside for a bit this afternoon. Got in a swim in the morning, and walked home afterwords. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the roast beef grinder with the works, a bag of chips, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have the huge chocolate chip cookie and an iced mocha. I'll eat down by the pool tonight after a swim. Igor and Jorge have been practicing their marachi band music.

    Wow, Zzyyggy, glad you’re finally having nice weather. I told Viktor I wanted to order the same thing you ordered. 😋 I think I could order the same thing for breakfast. After dessert, once I’m completely dried off from my swim, I plan on heading over to the Club Room. I intend to fall asleep in my chair while pretending to read my book. I’m sure Useless will find me. Nothing’s better than sharing your chair with a cat.

    Hi Linda, we're having typical summer weather here today. We're suppose to have thunder storms this evening, The wind is really howling out there. Maintenance put the ac in this morning, and I've had it on for while now. It's in the bedroom. My curious cat of course had to go and investigate, and then sniff it out. She does like the cool bedroom though. For dinner tonight Viktor has ramped up the pizza ovens, and I would like mine with the works, chicken wings, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha.

    Hi, Zzyyggy. It’s a good thing you’ve got your air conditioner now. Are you ready for summer weather? I’m not sure I’m ready. I am ready for dessert. I’ve decided to have another piece of my favorite veggie supreme pizza and more iced tea.

    Hi everyone, angf, everything is good around here. Try the burgers that's always my favorite. Linda I'm ready for Summer but we went back to spring today. Plenty of sunshine but it was cold out there at 43 degrees with a cold wind blowing. For dinner tonight I would love a big plate of spaghetti and meatballs with lots of garlic bread, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a hot fudge sundae with an iced mocha. I'll enjoy it out on the terrace with the warm balmy tropical air.

    Hi everyone. Zzyyggy, that sure is cold weather to me. The high temperature in the Charlotte area today was 86 degrees. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, too. My spaghetti had lots of cheese and cream and butter, as well as tomato sauce. Does that make it macaroni and cheese? It’s so nice out here on the terrace this evening. I plan on drinking my cup of tea and taking a short nap.

    Hi Linda, We had a cold start to the day at 34 degrees, but it warmed up to 78 degrees. Sat outside for a bit and read. Got in a swim, and walk. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the double quarter pounder with cheese, those yummy fries, and an iced cold coca cola. For dessert I'll have a dish of chocolate/vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace again tonight. I'm craving Mcdonald's for some reason lately so I'll have to go to Beansies sometime along for a burger. Hopefully it doesn't rain all weekend long.

    Zzyyggy, I love days that start like that—cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. We’re supposed to have scattered showers throughout the weekend. I sure hope we do. I asked Sweetie what he wanted for dessert and he’s decided on a brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce. I ordered a bowl of soft ice cream, a twist of vanilla and chocolate, with room temperature fudge sauce. I debated ordering mine with chocolate magic shell. Let’s not forget a generous sprinkle of M&M’s. I wonder if McDonald’s still sells M&M’s McFlurrys.

    @LindaK125 Here in Canada we have Smartie McFlurry's. Now mind you us Smarties are chocolate. Now I want one!

    I am off to a ladies retreat! I will miss this cafe while I am gone for the next 36 hours

    For breakfast I will take the farmers breakfast please with coffee.

    Hi everyone, Angf have fun at your retreat. Linda I don't I haven't been to Mcdonald's in so long I don't know what's on the menu any more. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the fried scallops with french fries and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a hotfudge sundae with an iced mocha. We had a gorgeous day out there today with some rain. I sat outside for a bit in the afternoon.

    Hi, Zzyyggy. I asked the Weather Goddess to send Angf good weather on her retreat. No guarantees there. Wouldn’t it be nice if the Weather Goddess actually existed? We’re not having good weather here. Truly, my prayers have been answered and it’s raining. We had a 36% chance of rain this evening and so far we’ve had .5 inches of rain. To celebrate, I’ll have a Smartie McFlurry for dessert. Yum 😋.

    Oh, we just got new severe thunderstorm warning. I need to check out our local radar. I can hear the rolling thunder. Yikes that storm is close. It passed south of us and is now in downtown Monroe.

    I am back from my ladies retreat. It was so good. Lunch today was AMAZING!!! I'm just going to go curl up on those cozy chairs and take a nap. I will decide on supper when I wake up.

    Hi everyone, we had rain most of the day today. Did an on line grocery order, and am trying to talk myself into a walk now that it's stopped raining. I might just go outside and sit for a bit. Glad you had a good time Angf. Linda stay safe from those thunderstorm. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the porter house steak with baked potato, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight.

    Hello everyone! It seems like the Spring storm season is one endless line of storms constantly moving across all of North America. Most of the storms have gone north of us, while some severe storms have come through our area. We’ve finally had rain and, fortunately, very little storm damage. It looks like there’s another storm lining up for this coming week, as well. We’ll be enjoying cooler, more humid weather this week.

    My sister and her husband are going to be here on Wednesday. We’ll have dinner with them and the kids. I figured we could do some prime sirloin, mashed potatoes, carrots, and salad. I can’t decide on dessert. Do I make a blueberry crumble and serve it with ice cream? I think Betty had a recipe in one of her emails recently. Any suggestions? I could always see if Costco has something yummy. 🤔. They sell these huge, crunchy chocolate chip cookies, but I promised myself I wouldn’t buy them. Besides, I’m sure they taste best when fresh.

    I think I’ll order the blueberry crumble with chocolate ice cream for dessert. I’ll be out to join everyone on the terrace. Viktor is bringing out desserts and a pitcher of iced mochas for us.

    Hi everyone. Have been spring cleaning today and got three rooms done, but I'm pooped now. I also got in a walk in the afternoon inspite of the rain. Yeah we've had rain, rain, and more rain. For dinner tonight I would like the Sunday Prime rib dinner with baked potato, salad, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. Linda I like the blueberry crumble with vanilla ice cream. Angel food cake is always light and airy as well with strawberries or blueberries. You s till have a couple of days. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight and enjoy the warm sunshine.

    Zzyyggy! Angel food cake would be great, thanks! I did find a crumble recipe I liked, too. The angel food cake would be easier and then I could serve the blueberries either cooked or uncooked, with whipped cream. My niece says she would serve brownies, but our son’s mother-in-law really shouldn’t have chocolate. (She’s lives with the kids and we all love her dearly.) I know the chocolate will make her feel sick, but she can’t say no when it comes to chocolate. Truly an awful dilemma to not be able to eat chocolate 😳.

    Now I can’t stop thinking about chocolate. Brownies sound good, especially if they’re iced with a lovely creamy ganache and served with my favorite chocolate ice cream. A generous sprinkle of mini M&M’s will be perfect. And here’s Viktor with iced coffees.

    Hi Linda, now you have me thinking chocolate. I just spring cleaned my livingroom. The apartment is done now except to the closets. Both are going to be projects. Anyways I'm pooped tonight. Chicken soup sounds really good. I'll have a bowl of chicken soup with lots of bread and butter for dipping, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some of those brownies with chocolate ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, and an iced mocha. Hows that for a chocolate fix?     Hi, Zzyyggy. I can’t believe it’s Tuesday morning. Sweetie has been cleaning the house for me. Not exactly spring cleaning, more like getting ready for guests cleaning. I haven’t done much more than laundry. Today I need to clear the kitchen table. That’s where I have my home office. We need to move my desk downstairs and reconfigure our bedroom for my office, but that will have to wait for another day. I think we’ll need to hire someone to move the furniture. Getting old sucks. I just can’t run up and down the stairs anymore. Sweetie says what we really need is a stair lift. I hate that idea.

    I’m starving this morning. I wouldn’t mind some chicken soup, however, since this is the cybercafe I’m going to order the Country Breakfast. That’s the one on the menu at the cybercafe’s diner that comes with eggs, pancakes, whatever meats you like, as well as, your choice of fruit, coffee, and the ever present bread/pastries basket. I absolutely love having breakfast at the diner. I like sitting in one of the booths overlooking the ocean. Looking out the diner’s window I can see it’s a somewhat foggy morning at high tide. I’m sure the fog will burn off at sunrise.

    Hi Linda, getting old does suck. I woke up this morning and went back to bed after canceling my swim. I did get out for a walk between the rain showers though. I also started on my pantry. I cleared everything out, and swept and mopped the floor. Then went through 1 side of shelves with the canned, packaged and cereal goods were. Put all those in bins. Now I can find things. I've started doing the other side otherwise known as the catchall. I'm starving. I'm going to have the roast beef grinder with the works, and a bag of chips with a coca cola. For desert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies, and an iced mocha. I'll eat out on the terrace tonight since we still haven't had sunshine.

    Hi, Zzyyggy. It’s nice out here on the terrace tonight. The past two days we’ve had beautiful weather at home. I wish we had weather like this year round. I ordered an iced cafe mocha, too, and some Dewey’s triple ginger cookies. Viktor will be here in seconds

    Sweetie and I are going to have to start setting aside time to declutter. Maybe work for one hour at a time? It’s so easy to overwhelmed.

    I've been busy the last couple days Finally made it back. For breakfast today I will have some toast with homemade strawberry jam and I larger coffee. I am just not that hungry this morning. I will take inside by the fire. I am little chilled from getting here as it's raining where I came from.

I did get a short walk in before the rains came, and sat outside for a bit. For dinner tonight I'm going to have baked ziti with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies with an iced mocha. I seem to be on a chocolate chip cookie binge lately. I'll enjoy it out on the terrace.

    Good morning, everyone. Zzyyggy, the blueberries and angel food cake were a hit last night and Sweetie made a delicious dinner. It was every bit as good as the dream dinners Chef Francois makes here at the cybercafe. After all the excitement from yesterday I’m already tired enough to go back to bed and we haven’t even had breakfast yet. Fortunately, Viktor had my coffee ready and I’ve been snacking on the goodies in the pastry basket (I wish). My sister was telling me they usually have a bowl of granola for breakfast. We don’t have any cereal or milk. She was horrified when I told what I normally have for breakfast. I like steamed vegetables with chicken and Sweetie makes eggs with bacon or sausage for breakfast. With these annoying food intolerances I can’t manage milk, eggs, or pork, so what else can eat for breakfast?

    I’ve been up since 6:00 this morning and it’s 9:00 am—definitely time to make some breakfast.

    For lunch today I will take a double bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. To drink I will have some Mountain Dew. I need the energy for the afternoon. For a treat after I will have some nice warm chocolate chip cookies and a glass of chocolate milk. I will take it out on the terrace so I can enjoy the sun while I am here.

    Hi everyone, Linda I'm glad I could help. My sister served that one time last summer for a get together it was a hit as well. I love angel food cake. Angf, one of my favorite orders from the cafe. I'm beat tonight. Just woke up from a nap and I have a sneaky suspicion I'll be up most of the night now. It's still rainy dark and dreary around here. For dinner tonight I would love some macaroni and cheese with garlic bread and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some double chocolate klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'll join Angf on the terrace. Linda I've been known to have whatever is in the house for breakfast. I don't think it really matters.
