Hi, Zzyyggy. Some of my favorite memories are of a group of neighbors and friends sitting in our friends’ gazebo sharing a meal while some wonderful treat was baking in the brick oven. There was a little stone cottage right next to the gazebo that our friends and their son built. It had a huge fireplace that they would cook in. It was so amazing. Brunch on a chilly Fall morning was such a treat.

Time for star gazing and dessert. Iced mocha, Zzyyggy?

Hi Linda, sound like good memories. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a big bowl of seafood chowder with lots of bread and butter for dipping. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha. I'll have it on the terrace.

Hi, Zzyyggy, I’ll join you on the terrace for dessert and coffee. I ordered brownies with vanilla buttercream icing and iced coffee. Mm, these brownies taste really good with M&M’s.

Hi Linda, tonight I'm going to have a big old juicy bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a root beer this time around. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I need some sunshine so I'll eat out on the terrace with the tropical breeze and plenty of sunshine.

Zzyyggy, it’s really hot at the cybercafe this evening! I think I’ll have scoops of lemon sorbet in my iced tea for dessert. We can lounge out here on the terrace and watch the meteor shower.

Hi Linda, Sorry I turned up the heat a little bit because it's been so raw around here in the real world. Tonight I'm going to have the prime rib dinner with baked potato, salad, and dinner rolls. A coca cola, and lots of butter with that baked potato please. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. I'll take it out by the pool after a quick swim before dinner. I had the real iced mocha this morning. I went to Starbucks at Market32 before going shopping. I haven't had one of those in ages.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I see it’s still warm here. No worries, we’re having warmer weather at home this week. Temperatures are going to be in the 70’s and by the end of the week could even be in the low 80’s. Of course, it will cool back down into the low 60’s by November first. Ah, here’s Viktor with my iced tea and dinner. I ordered rotisserie chicken, potato salad, and three bean salad. I ordered double chocolate grasshopper pie for dessert. I bet that would pair well with an iced mocha!

I’ve never actually had an iced mocha. I have had a caramel crumble milkshake though.

Hi Linda, your dinner last night sounds so good I'm going to have it tonight with a coca cola, and some dinner rolls. For dessert I'm going to have a slice of blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. It looks like the only sunshine I'm going to get is the cyber kind for awhile. I'll eat out on the terrace and enjoy that sunshine.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Come on in and sit by the fire for a while. I ordered a nice hot cup of cafe mocha. There’s a basket of Halloween candy on the side table between our recliners. Mm, Twix bars, I love them. I’m reading another series of books. I promised myself I wouldn’t stay up until I finish the next book in the series like I did last night and the night before. When I go to bed at 3:00 am and sleep until 11:00 am it feels like I don’t accomplish anything for the day. At least I slept eight hours. I can’t remember when I did that last.

Hi Linda, yes I know about those series. I started a series awhile back and bought all eight books and read them straight through. Some nights I was up until 1:00 am reading. It does make the day drag. For dinner I will have macaroni and cheese platter with a salad and garlic bread. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some klondike bars and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy it out on the terrace since I think that's the only kind of sunshine I'll be getting for a bit. Igor has set up the spooky forrest hike for the weekend complete with Jack-o-lanterns, and all kinds of scary surprises. He and his zombie buddies are going all out this year.

Hi, Zzyyggy. The macaroni and cheese dinner was delicious. I’m finally ready for dessert. Francois made my pumpkin swirl brownies for me. The pumpkin part of the brownies is not cheesecake, it’s more of pumpkin cookie swirled into the brownies. So good. Mm, coffee and brownies and Viktor added a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sweet!

Hi Linda, tonight I'm going to have the bacon cheeseburger dinner with onion rings and a root beer. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I think the only sun I'm going to see is the cyber sun. I forgot what it looks like. I'll have my dinner out on the terrace again.

Hi, Zzyyggy. Sweetie and I had our cheeseburger burritos earlier, now it’s time for dessert. Found some Twix bars in the goody basket next to my chair. Perfect with my cafe mocha.

Tomorrow I’m getting a new dishwasher and a new stove. All our kitchen appliances are 16 years old, so I figured it was time to get new ones. A couple of weeks ago the microwave quit working and we bought a new one. Costco was having a sale and they deliver and install appliances and those services are included in the price. I checked Home Depot and Lowe’s and they either don’t install or charge $400 dollars to install, plus the appliances were more expensive. However, Costco has a very limited selection. Sweetie wanted to know why I would want a stove that was WiFi capable. Hah, I must have missed that in the description. Who knows what I’ve gotten myself into! Hopefully my new appliances will work better than the builder’s models that came with the house.

Hi Linda, sounds exciting. since the stove has wifi maybe the recipes cook themselves? Hmmmm. Here late for dinner. I'm down and out with a hard cold again. I think it's my previous one come back to haunt me. It's not covid tested twice and they came back negative. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a bowl of french onion soup with lots of the bread and cheese on top and a coca cola. For dessert I want a monster cookie, and an iced mocha. We saw the sun today for all of ten minutes and then it went back behind the clouds. I'll enjoy dinner in the cyber sun.

Oh I’d love a stove that cooks recipes by itself or comes with a cook, Zzyyggy. I think the WiFi is just a gimmick so they can collect data on you. It’s going to look like we don’t cook very often because I have a countertop oven/toaster oven that I love and use all the time. It’s a Breville smart oven the kids gave me for Christmas one year. They spoil us. I’m assuming this new range (I keep calling it a stove) will be a big improvement over the old one, so maybe I’ll use the big oven more frequently. The dishwasher is in and working, but the stove isn’t completely installed. It works, however, Sweetie has to cut the countertop at the back of the stove and then he’ll have to seal around the countertop and stove with silicone. The old stove actually sat on top of the counter, this one doesn’t.

Sorry you’re not feeling well Zzyyggy. Having a cold come back again is the worst. Sweetie has a cold now, too. Time for chicken soup and lots of vitamin C! Luckily you can get pampered at the cybercafe. It would work even better if it was real. It looks like you’re going to have to hang out at the cybercafe if you’re going to see much sun. There’s lots of rain coming your way.

I asked Viktor to bring us an order of endless cookies and iced mochas.

Hi Linda, We had short periods of sunshine today, but it was mostly cloudy. Temps got into the 70s. That'll be the last time of it for awhile. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the seafood chowder with a coca cola and lots of bread and butter. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I"ll enjoy it on the terrace.

Hi, Zzyyggy. I had Francois’ crab cakes, french fries, and coleslaw for dinner and Viktor made ginger and basil iced tea which was delicious. I ordered some molasses ginger cookies to go with my coffee for dessert.

We had a gorgeous day at home today. The temperature went into the upper 70’s. Over the weekend it’s supposed to go up into the low 80’s. The best thing is that on Halloween the high will be 61 degrees and we might even get some rain. The trick or treaters might not like it, but we need rain and I’ll enjoy the cooler weather, although I have to admit I’m enjoying the warm weather right now.

Hi Linda, our temps on Halloween are suppose to be 45 degrees, and that's the high. We might see some sunshine. Okay the Sea Monster is back in the pool but only until after Halloween, and she's dodging the floating jack-o-lanterns, and ghosts swirling above the water. The dragons are coming back as well, but only until after Halloween. We've also got a few hobgoblins, and other mythical and weird creatures wandering around. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the prime rib with baked potato and a salad. Lots of butter with that baked potato and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have a slice of Boston Cream Pie and an iced mocha.

Viktor, I’ll have what she’s having, please. And I can decorate my Boston cream pie with chocolate candy corn and M&M’s and other cute little chocolate minis. So exciting! I’m glad you explained all our new customers and visitors at the cybercafe Zzyyggy. I might have thought I was hallucinating otherwise.

Hi Linda. I really wish I could shake this cough. It's annoying and keeping me up at night. For dinner tonight I'm going to have the roasted chicken platter with mashed potatoes, carrots, stuffing, and gravy. Dinner rolls and a coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and an iced mocha. Had the real thing again this morning at Starbucks. Went to Market32 again. Picked up some groceries, and other stuff. I'll enjoy the cyber sunshine again.

Sorry about your cough, Zzyyggy, it’s awful when it hangs on. I loved your order, so I ordered the same thing. Delicious.

We had a beautiful day at home. It was 80 degrees today and sunny. The trees in our yard are starting to turn and losing their leaves. Where we used to live most of the trees were just about done, except for one big old maple in the backyard that lost its leaves in early December. This was one of my favorite cherry trees in our front yard at our old house:

The picture was taken in November. Most years the cherry trees lost their leaves before Halloween. I always loved it when the leaves stayed on longer. The cherry trees were gorgeous trees.

Hi Linda, Maples are gorgeous trees, and that's a great picture. The house across the street from us has a maple in their back yard and it's gorgeous. All the trees are right now, but the leaves are falling. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a bucket of KFC original recipe with the mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and biscuits of course. A coca cola and lots of butter for those biscuits. For dessert I'll have a slice of apple pie, and an iced mocha. I'll take it out on the terrace and enjoy the sunshine since we're not getting any in the real world.

Hi, Zzyyggy. We had had really nice day today. It went up to 82 degrees! It was wonderful. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and 20 degrees cooler, although the rain should stop in time for the Halloweenies. We’re supposed to have a couple of days with morning lows below freezing this week. It will be nice to sit by the fire at the cybercafe when it’s cold outside.

Francois made apple crumble coffee cake and it looked so good, I couldn’t resist. I’ll have mine topped with ice cream and caramel sauce. Ah, here’s Viktor now with my coffee.

Hi Linda, We had a nice day out, but it was cold out there at 39 degrees. We did have a lot of sunshine though. Tonight I'm in the mood for some french onion soup with lots of bread and cheese on top, and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some brownies and an iced mocha. I'll take it in the dining room with the big acquarium. I like watching the fish swim around, and I did get some sunshine today.

Wow, Zzyyggy, that’s cold! It was colder in Charlotte, too. I was enjoying the warm 80 degree weather, but now the temperatures are in the 50’s. We were supposed to get rain and it sure looked like it would rain, but it didn’t. We got 34 Halloweenies. I can’t believe how many of our neighbors didn’t turn on their lights tonight. Probably only a third (out of 112 homes) of the neighborhood gave out candy this year. In our town trick or treating is between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Tonight we had eight very lucky kids right at 8:00 pm. They got all the candy we had left.

Viktor will bring us more mochas. My plan is to read my book and eat Halloween candy.

Hi Linda, that sounds like a great plan. I'll join you, we're still getting those refilling buckets. Igor is switching over to Thanksgiving decorations now, and the Halloween ones are gradually coming down. The Sea monster is back in the ocean by the cliffs, and the dragons are back on the mountains. His zombie buddies have gone home he said as well as all the other weird stuff we had around here the last few days. That giant spider is gone as well thank goodness. For dinner tonight I'm going to have a huge bowl of beef stew, it's awfully cold around here in the real world today we had snow, with lots of crusty bread and butter for dipping and a coca cola. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I'll enjoy it out on the terrace with the tropical temps.

It’s cold today and tomorrow morning we’re supposed to have our first frost. It was a good day for stew or soup and Francois makes the best crusty bread. I ordered a cup of hot chocolate and cranberry chocolate chip cookies. Once I finish my cookies I’m heading for bed. It’s getting late. Besides, it was exhausting watching Igor send everyone on their way and switch out all the decorations. I can’t say I’m going to miss the spider(shudder).

It’s Thursday morning and it’s cold outside. When I woke up at 4:30 this morning it was 28 degrees an at 8:30 it’s still 28 degrees. The sun is just coming up over this side of our hill so it should start warming up soon. I figured I’d head to the cybercafe and sit by the fireplace in the dining room. Jorge brought in a load of firewood and Igor has a nice fire burning. Viktor had my coffee ready for me as soon as I walked in. Francois is making my vegetable omelet to go with his delicious pastries. I love the baskets of mini pastries that come with breakfast.

I haven’t decided whether to spend the day basking in the tropical sunshine by the cyberpool or enjoying the crisp cool autumn weather on the terrace.

Hi Linda, aaahh no more scary spiders or bats flying around. Now it's just turkeys, haybills, and pumpkins. I'm ready for a bowl of hot chili with lots of cheese, and bread. A coca cola with that please. For dessert I'll have some chocolate chip cookies and an iced mocha. I think I'll enjoy it on the tropical heated terrace. I could do with some heat now.

Zzyyggy, come sit in the gazebo on the terrace. Besides having a mini kitchen with your ice cream freezer, it has a wood stove for when it’s cold and comfy recliners and a hidden tv for when we absolutely can’t miss those Christmas movies or the Thanksgiving Day parade. Plus, the wood fired brick oven is right outside those french doors.

Here’s Viktor with my dessert order, mm, pumpkin pie and coffee.
