Machka - the legs up against the wall is one of the exercises my physiotherapist recommended for all women to help our hips. She told me to open and close my legs, like a windshield wiper. It keeps the hips aligned properly and helps the pelvic floor muscles.
Heather- I always find your weight loss journey so inspiring to read.
Beautiful paint job!
Beth - I saw that on FB the other day and snapped a screenshot of it too.
Allie - Hugs to you! What great memories though!
I’m so thankful it’s a long weekend, it was a long week. I am making some hippie decorations this weekend and apparently some of the people attending are dressing as hippies. I guess I need an outfit too! I do have the glasses.
My Grands started school today. He is in grade 5 and she is in kindergarten. They’ve grown so fast. He was happy to get back to classes, she was excited but very nervous.

Back home, what a long day! There for testing from 6:30 am to 8:00 am. Rested and walked around, and had lunch at 12 noon. From noon until 2 pm waited. Liver transplant appointment from 2-4:00. On the road by 4:15 pm until 6:00 pm when we stopped at The Farmhouse restaurant close to turnoff into Whidbey. Home at 7:30 pm. Long long day. They stated his liver numbers had improved a wee bit, but that his liver showed some fattiness. No scarring though. Shoot, when he got his liver in 2014, a month after and they said his liver was a wee bit fatty. Not his doing, it came like that. 💖 It was a lot of waiting around, 6 hours of waiting. Glad we only have to do this once a year. Grateful that everything looks ok though. 💖🙏His weight was down to 197 lbs, so 8 lbs less than last year.

went to another park and walked for 90 min with a friend- feet are hurting some but otherwise feel good. Need to figure out a little dinner-at 760 cal. for the day so far. I wish she was available to walk more often like we used to.
I miss getting out and moving while catching up.

Rebecca - very long day, waiting around is the worst. Happy to read Lee had a good report.1

We had a long conversation with our son today. He was at home with our grandson. DDIL was out for a girls day with good friends. We talked about a visit to them. At this time the Corona Virus is more active in their area than we expected.
l
We have been planning to visit them to babysit our grandson while DDIL & our son are in the hospital for the birth. Corona Virus there seems to be worrisome. We will have to make decisions as things develop this fall. We think the new baby will be born some time in November. Keeping my fingers crossed & praying that everything goes well.

My son is in Hove!!!!!
Boy was I tired and achey last night!! Lots of Voltarol.
I overdid it on the walking etc and I always get mega stiff when I have visitors, even family.
Weirdest dreams. But the day has dawned with the bluest sky and we have my younger son's bbq to look forward to for lunch. I am taking sides.
Will do our exercise session this morning before we walk over there. T might take himself off for a walk by the sea first thing. We shall see.
Love Heather UK xxxxxx

Allie,
The more exquisitely wonderful the memories, the more exquisitely we feel the loss. I am both sorry for your current pain and glad for your amazing memories of times past. (((Hugs)))
Heather,
Love love love the photo of exuberant grown up son in Hove.

"This month's theme: Self Care September
Self-care isn't selfish, it's essential. No-one's perfect. But so often we compare our insides to other people's outsides. This month we're encouraging everyone to be kinder to themselves (as well as others), especially when things go wrong. Self-care increases our resilience and helps us get more out of life. It also helps us accept others as they are too."

We did!
We went to the 150th anniversary of Tasmanian railways to look at (and ride) the trains and models.
And then we exercised ... I cycled inside and ran on the treadmill.

Barbie- you are right I should have gratitude for all those wonderful years of love, companionship, fun and not be such a Debbie downer.. I do have a pup to snuggle with and as you know im ver people oriented.. so its very harf for me to stay holed up in my condo by myself with me and the dog.
My kids are out on there own,I have no spouse ( im thankful i guess for that) but even living here i feel isolated..
I think I will check with the senior center and see what they have going on and get involved in something there so im not sitting here like im in a cave lol.7 -
Heather-totally agree with you regarding fitness. I am the most fit I have been in years (can’t remember when!). I had thought I was too old and the last couple of years has convinced me differently. Even with the few pounds I have put on quitting smoking I know they will come off because I now have a healthy lifestyle-not just a diet. I am not a huge pink fan-but your entry/stairwell is quite stunning. Enjoy time with your son.
Machka Favorite sport or exercise-I am boring-I love walking. Light weights are also fun.
Barbie in NW WA-those first times out are tough. However, we do need to take care of our overall health.
Allie-I think it is totally normal to feel hurt. Just don’t let the sadness control you. Good idea checking out the senior center.
Rebecca-glad husband got a good report!
Got back to gym yesterday-felt great to use machines and treadmill. Had zoom dinner with friend and had great conversation.
Waiting for man to come to replace furnace/ac/water heater. Water heater not yet broken but it is 26 years old so getting it all done at once. He is putting in a tankless heater-I know they are supposed to be good but don't know much about them. Will be good to have ac working. While we are moving more into a fall cycle of weather, we can still get hot and humid here sometimes through October, so it will be nice to have it even if I turn it off at night.
Off to get some stuff done.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

Allie - Getting involved with the senior center might be a good idea. I have a friend who delivers meals on wheels for our local senior center a couple of days a week. My neighbor did the same until her health put a stop to it. People in our community are wearing masks in public and socializing is generally outdoors with appropriate social distancing.1

Not the recipe tutorials for me, but ... read a book, go for a walk or bicycle ride, visit the beach, take photos ...1 -

I’ve done it once, it’s gonna b a long day1 -
1st place has been saving up his rides and made one big entry. He is now at 2069.63 … that means I have 300.54 miles now that I have to do before this coming Wednesday to catch up to him. Ugh…I could do it if I rode 100 miles for today, Sunday and Monday but do I want to?? I dunno…. Sad face sore butt.5

Allie, looking at the Senior Center for activity and companionship sounds like a great idea. I used to dance at a Senior Center and saw all the happy people and the activity schedule. You're bound to find something you like to do and people you'll enjoy being with.
Right now my line dance class is on hiatus because of Covid restrictions (we can't dance in masks, and masks are necessary indoors in groups), but many other activities continue.
Katla, That is disturbing news about Covid possibly creating a problem for your trip to welcome your new grandchild.
I got the newsletter from our local Project Linus chapter. The chapter has received over 1300 quilted and knitted blankets so far in 2021
Heather, what a happy picture of your son.

Would that all be inside?
I've done heaps of 100 mile days outside but I don't know if I'd have the motivation to do it inside!!
