Thanks @fmfdfa2020 @str82nichelle @tiabirdie56 @deepwoodslady for the support! Looking forward to implanting myself firstly into those 100's here soon! Exciting times for sure.
@Elbee1 Thoughts are with you, I can't imagine how difficult that situation must be.
Hi all! Ashley here, 34 years old.

10/19 / 205.4 / Ready to kick this mid-200's to the curb! Let's do this.
10/20 / 204 / Oh hey girl hey!!! There's the drop I've been looking for. Hubby and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary last night. We opted to stay in and he cooked me a fabulous meal. Had planned my calories at maintenance - 10% and am happy with how I managed myself.
10/21 / 202 / Looks like my body is saying goodbye to what it held on to in R165! I had the hardest ride on the Peloton to date yesterday morning and a really great day of eating. This is my lowest weight ever on this journey and it officially moves me from the obese BMI category to overweight! WOO HOO!
10/22 / 201.4 / Yesterday was a mix of yoga, strength training, and walking. Ate on track, went to my Mom's for dinner and cooked a healthy meal for her. Glad to see more progress today!
10/23 / 199.8 / I'm not exactly sure when the last time I saw a 1 to start my weight was, but the last memory I do have of it was around 15 years ago, so this is a VERY exciting day indeed. The weight seems to just be tumbling off me this round!
10/24 / 200 / It was pouring rain here yesterday, but it wasn't snow so I'll take it! Got myself out for a good walk, rode the Peloton, and did my yoga. Noticing how much better it feels to be inside my body these days.

10/22 207.2 I'm glad to be out of the teens and solidly in the 200 + single digits. Down a smidgen over 70. I don't mind plateaus. I feel good swimming laps, doing tai chi & chair yoga, even though I'm famished after time in the water.
10/23 206.2 weight fluctuates. I'm happy to have lost since I had a headache & backache followed by two peanut butter & honey sandwiches (totally off my plan) last night.
This is a very interesting journey with surprises along the way!
10/24 205 Go figure...a friend stopped by unexpectedly with a box of cinnamon rolls yesterday afternoon, I had three as I had coffee & we chatted. And I lost weight this morning?

Round 166 (my third)
October 19 - October 28, 2021
Female, 5’7”
SW: 161.2 pounds (Oct 18, 2021, EO Round 165)
RGW: 159.5 (-1.7 pounds) - which would take me out of the “overweight” BMI to “healthy” BMI
Day/Weight/Comment
10/19: 159.0 - What? Was this a magical whoosh? Yesterday’s weight was disappointing and could be chalked up to several high-sodium meals in a row. I guess being back home, drinking a normal amount of water and eating our usual foods helped flush things out. I’m sure there will be an uptick tomorrow, but I’ll enjoy being at a so called “healthy” BMI for the day.
10/20: 158.7 - Surprised and pleased, but I’ll take it. I’ve upped my move goals on my Apple Watch a tiny bit from 550 calories to 600 calories this week as well as played around with my macros yesterday (C-50%, P-30%, F-20%) and started tracking my potassium in addition to sodium. I’m not sure I’ll hit my macros as I was having enough trouble getting to the protein % when it was lower. For right now, I’ll use it more to guide than to stress out about.
10/21: 159.4 - Yesterday was another day of 4 hrs in the car. Did my workout in the morning. In logging my food, my eyes were opened as to how high in sodium shrimp is even before adding any spices or marinades.
10/22: 158.7 - Hubby’s birthday yesterday so planned for the chocolate cake and red wine. Stayed within calories but macros definitely skewed fat and carbs.
10/23: 159.2 - Went out to dinner last night for the official celebration of hubby’s b-day. Delicious tapas, but I’m still thirsty from the sodium. I was a bit overwhelmed with the thought of trying to estimate the calories of the variety of small plates that we ordered and portions, etc. that I just did a quick add of 1000 calories. First time I’ve done that - it feels a little like cheating. Did a late workout before getting ready to go out to make sure there would at least be some calorie room for whatever was to come.
10/24: 159.0 - Slow and steady. Back to where I was at the beginning of the round.

Ultimate goal: 98 lbs (subject to change)
SW (starting over--May 24, 2021): 160.3I started mfp on 2/20/11 at 160.2 lbs.
My lowest weight on mfp was 140 lbs in 11/2013 and 5/2014.
My highest weight ever: 168+ (and I wasn't even pregnant at that time... ) That was in 12/2016.
Just for the record used to be an athlete a long, long time ago. Used to teach Aerobics and Step Aerobics. Used to LOVE exercise.
Nowadays, I don't exercise at all. Why, oh why not? How can I go from loving exercise and doing tons of exercise to nothing at all?
Going from low blood pressure to being on medication for high blood pressure. What have I done to myself?!

@Elbee1 I am sorry sorry to hear that things are getting bad. I am not sure where you live but I wonder if you may be able to take Family Medical Leave. They offer it in the US but it is usually without pay and I don't know if you would be able to do that. Prayers continue for both your parents and for you and your own family as well.10 -

10/18 …..185.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
10/19 …..186.6 ….. [/color=fblue (trend weight 186.9) Not such a great start to this round. Meals were great yesterday. Movement very little due to doctor appointment. Also friends and well-wishers stopping by before my surgery Friday one with two types of very unique homemade cookies, another with a crème pie. Another with apple bread lightly glazed. Reno folks were here too. Some good progress was made on that front in the landscaping department. I shared all the goodies with the workers so there is not too much left today. I’m going to try for an excellent day today. It is supposed to be a beautiful day for this time of year in my neck of the woods. Perhaps some yard walking since I won’t be able to leave. I live on a hill so there are lots of opportunities to walk steep.
10/20 …..185.0 ….. (trend weight 186.8) I got a bad report from two EKG’s they did for pre-op. It appears the left side of my heart is not flowing blood smoothly like the right. There are delays, hiccups, sputters etc that may indicate a blockage. They will talk to a cardiologist to get the EKG’s looked at (they tried it twice) to make sure I’m okay for surgery but it should be okay because they will not be using a ventilator. When I originally did my Chemo, they said that one of my medication bags held a chemo med that could cause left ventricle problems in the future. So here I am….. I think there will be a cardiologist in my future unfortunately. So far I have not heard that this will stop my current surgery so I will spend tonight packing and I’ll be leaving in tomorrow. I’ll be back on Saturday night. I use a home PC for myfitnesspal so I don’t know if I will be able to check in or not. I will certainly try. I will record my weight in the morning before I leave. I feel okay about this surgery, just not okay about the new info on the heart!
10/21 …..185.2 ….. (trend weight 186.6) A good day yesterday but a bit too much bread with the apple bread I had for a snack with black coffee. I am leaving today for my surgery in the morning. Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes, the prayers and the good vibes. I will check in when I can. Keep going everyone!
10/22 …..188.2 ….. (trend weight 186.8) Surgery was almost cancelled as my glucose was at 366 Fasting that morning. They pulled in a total of 5 anesthesiologists to confer. To give me an insulin shot (which I don’t normally take, just pills) would constitute the start of a “treatment plan”. Living 4 hours away and without having planned this, they did not want to start that as it would mean they would have to start following up with appointments etc. They finally got special permission if I was put into twilight but not to the point of sleeping. Lidocain was used to numb which did not work. I felt all 4 cuts and removal (which was actually pretty quick). But it hurt like Haides. Awake, I told them I was feeling every bit of the pain. They re-numbed me for the stitches. I considered it all my own fault because they had to so lightly use everything for my surgery. I didn’t eat healthy on the way down and could probably have prepared better. I think I am already beginning to heal, it is itching like heck but still very swollen. I haven’t actually seen it yet as it’s not time to take off the bandages. I’ll closely monitor my healing over the next few days due to the high glucose problem which greatly affects healing. The stitches on the interior will dissolve by themselves. I’m feeling pretty good overall but just a bit wobbly. Now, we wait for pathology which I feel very good about since they had already removed a lot of it and it came up clear. Taking the rest out is a precaution and I feel like it will test okay too. Thanks again to all the wonderful wishes and comments. It’s nice to have the great support that MFP offers in every area. Hopefully this constitutes that the whole matter is OVER! I missed you all.

@quiltingjaine This sounds really good! I'm always trying to figure out ways to add more vegetables to each meal. I've added spinach to omelets, but haven't tried asparagus and mushrooms. I'm allergic to eggs unfortunately, but will make this for my husband. Thanks!5 -

Previous days10/19 116.6 post run Did not post, the day got away from me.10/21 Went away to NH
10/20 116.4 post run. Got a 5 mile run in this morning which felt pretty good. Food was on track all day yesterday as well. Looking forward to another good day with food and squeezing in some strength training on my lunch today too.
10/21 117.6 I think it was. This is a normal blip up for me because of where I’m at with my cycle. I started the morning with a 45 minute spin bike ride to mix it up a little bit because I’ve been increasing my running distance a bit this week/wanted to give different parts of my body a rest. Food was good yesterday and hopefully it will be again today, too! Work will be busy but that’s always a good thing because it makes the day go by fast! I plan on going for a walk during my lunch today too, it’s supposed to be in the 70s today which is pretty warm for this late in October. Happy almost Friday everyone!
10/22 Camping in NH
10/23 Came home from NH
10/24 Did not weigh this morning. We went to NH to go camping on Friday night but headed up Thursday to beat the Friday traffic. The foliage was still kind of decent, so it was nice to see all the colors in the mountains. Camping/hiking was fun but I indulged in too much wine and felt it all day yesterday and also pretended calories didn’t count during said misery lol. I got veggie/paneer tikka masala, paratha (didn’t eat all of it though), basmati rice, and veggie pakora. That take out endedup being both my lunch and dinner yesterday because it was so much food. Food on Friday was also pretty indulgent but at least I did a 4 ½ mile run that morning. Food has been good today though. I had half a protein cookie for breakfast and lunch was a cheese and cracker plate I made (2 light brie cheese, 1.5 oz cheddar gruyere cheese, sliced up apple, a mini cucumber, snap peas, and fig olive crisp toasts/crackers from Trader Joes). The cheese plate was yummy and made me feel fancy 😊.

10/21 206.8 Had another great day yesterday. 61 net carbs, step goal hit, and some strength training done. Why the uptick again? Hormones is the most likely culprit. Being a female is so fun! 🤣
10/22. 205.4 Well yesterday took a turn. We unexpectedly had to put our 3 year old cat down. She ate a thread that got all tangled in her intestines and the vet said there wasn’t really much that could be done to save her. The kids are devastated, and I’m taking it harder than I expected too. She was such a good kitty. We got the call in the middle of dinner, then went to say good bye. I decided to jump on the Pelo once we got back to pedal out some tears. 78 net carbs, but step goal not hit because of poor River Song. 💔
10/23 🏕 DNW 48 net carbs yesterday. Hit well over my step goal too. Overall a great day and wonderful first night camping.
10/24 🏕 DNW 91 net carbs- it was DDs birthday and I had baked a “150 hour chocolate cake” for her that I had to try a small slice of. It was worth the extra carbs! Fell short by just under 1,000 on my step goal, but I’m learning if I stress out and try to make up the shortage too close to bedtime that it always seems to backfire on me. So it is what it is. I still cleared over 10,500. On to this fresh and new week!

@Elbee1 - Caregivers for our aging parents is difficult and to have both in different places with downhill symptoms can be overwhelming. Take care of yourself while caring for them. Know that you are doing what you can ... and that you can't be in all places at all times. Hope that your job will understand the stress that you are under and sending additional prayers your way.8

2021 GOAL WEIGHT: 368 (Oct 11th: 2.3 lbs. per 10 days or 1.8 lbs. per week)
SW: 387.8 - Round # 38 for me! (5500 steps is my daily step goal)
Day/Weight/Comment
10/19 387.8 -- @quiltingjaine thanks! (Previous day steps 7,332)
10/20 386.8 4564 steps
10/21 389,2 5818 steps
10/22 389.2 4407 steps - I was under calories again today. I got my step goal in and work was good, worked from home. I have not planned my weekend like I need to but I have fruit in the house and plan to be on track this weekend for sure. Stay safe.
10/23 389.2 5515 steps
10/24 388.8 6081 steps – I continue to be under calories but losing slowly. Not worrying about it. I just have to be patient and continue not to beat myself up when I relapse. I do understand why it is taking a while for me to start back losing again after I get back on track. I feel thinner and my knees are feeling better. My rings are getting looser, my clothes are fitting better, I put on my trench coat yesterday and I was able to button the last button up, so I am feeling good! I am just taking it one meal at a time, one day at a time and my immediate goal is to reach the next decade. Have a great day!

My journey … "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbs.My highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs.
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.*One of my major goals is to get my BMI under 40 (260 weight) so I can have surgery on my knees *[color]10 -

Ultimate goal: 98 lbs (subject to change)
SW (starting over--May 24, 2021): 160.3I started mfp on 2/20/11 at 160.2 lbs.
My lowest weight on mfp was 140 lbs in 11/2013 and 5/2014.

Round 166 (98th for me). I need this to help keep me on track.
@QuiltingJaine-thank you for setting up the new round.
Challenge for this round is to get back on track – want to drop a few pounds by the start of December as I feel more comfy in a dress I want to wear for Peaky Blinders night – any loss will be a win!
Covid restrictions have mostly been lifted in England – we reached “freedom day” sometime ago, but remember there is still a pandemic: Covid is still around! Continue to wash hands, be kind, wear a mask in public indoor settings, always consider others.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.
