@edwardsc60 I was similar to you, 12 stone 8, when I started at the beginning of July and have lost 2 stone since then, the first 16lbs came off quite easy in the first month and it's been a lot slower since then but stick at it, you can do this!6

**********************************************
10/19 148.4 (trend 149.9) I hit last round's goal weight today so I'm pleased about that, also got my trend weight below 150 so have changed my UGW trend to my healthy weight BMI, it seems like such a long way off but it's only 7.2lbs away, totally doable!
I had a terrible night's sleep, anxiety and knowing I have a busy day ahead today working with my plumber and electrician kept me awake until 5am, then my alarm went off at 6.30... don't know how I'm gonna get through today without lots of sugar but I'll do my best!
Goal weight for this round is 10.5St (147lbs) which is the weight I was when I met my husband 9.5 years ago.
10/20 148.4 (trend 149.7) Feeling much brighter today after a good sleep. I need to really focus on drinking more water and getting more nutrients as I've been relying too much on snacky foods like deli meats, crackers and cheese and not having enough vitamins, and I've been drinking too much coffee. Need to R&R, rest and rehydrate, rather than depending on stimulants and fatty salty food to keep my energy up.150 cals over yesterday but it was a long busy day.
10/21 147.4 (trend 149.4) Excited to see 147 with a 1lb drop over night, it feels like I've been very slowly creeping down for ages so to get a big drop is great. I hope it sticks! Also my BMI is 25.8 so I'm in close range of a healthy weight, not too far now! Still my trend weight has to catch up, so I'm not getting complacent. Had a huge chicken salad last night, first time I've had any proper volume in my stomach for several days, felt good!
10/22 147.2 (trend 149.1) I didn't deserve this loss today as I went out last night and had beers, cheesy chips and a big cookie, hopefully it doesn't catch me up tomorrow! Not a very healthy day but I'm not going to dwell on it.
10/23 149.4 (trend 149.2) Yikes! I ate a lot yesterday, all sensible choices but at maintenance calories. Had indigestion all night and still feeling bloated today so I'm not really surprised at this. Going to water fast for most of the day to try and flush this through.
10/24 148.2 (trend 149.0) Still a bit bloated but glad to see this dropping back down quickly. Excited that my trend weight is coming down and I'm leaving 150lbs in the distance! Fasted until about 5pm then had chicken salad and a cereal bar. Spent most of the day paint stripping which was weirdly satisfying and kept me active. Today I need to seal the walls and ceiling with a pva glue solution ready for the plasterers to come and do their magic, can't wait!
10/25 148.6 (trend 148.9) I'm a bit bummed that I didn't lose today, I ate within my cals yesterday, got plenty of fluids, went for a 4 mile brisk walk and spent the rest of the day on my feet working on my kitchen reno. I must be retaining something as my average daily cals for the last week are 1000ish. It really does get harder the closer you get to goal but I still have about 20lbs to go and at this rate it's going to take me about 8 months to get there. Getting my follow up blood test for my thyroid in a week as it was moderately underactive 2 months ago, I've been losing a LOT of hair recently not sure if this is because of low calories or the thyroid.
10/26 147.4 (trend 148.7) Glad to see things settling back down. I had bad cramps and bloating again yesterday, think it was hormonal this time as I was really anxious and crabby too. Calendar says ovulation so probably that. Had very little appetite most of the day then got carried away with the oatcakes, pickles and cream cheese in the evening. Will I hit my goal this round? Maybe?
10/27 148.6 (trend 148.7) Annoyingly stuck around 148 for the last 2 weeks. My weighing and logging have got a bit lax but still I'm averaging 1149 per day for the last week and less the week before. Haven't been able to exercise as all my energy is going into the reno and keeping the house running. Got guests coming this weekend then I'll be painting all next week I think. Maybe I just have to accept 0.5 pounds loss a week from here on in. Sigh.
10/28 147.0 (trend 148.5) Well I made it somehow, both goals met! I'm surprised really as I snacked a lot yesterday, DD tempted me with chocolate, crisps etc so it'll probably bounce back a bit tomorrow. Next round I really need to tighten up my weighing and logging, no more sneaky bites and guesswork as it all adds up. A couple of months ago I thought my goal of 140lbs by the end of the year was going to be easily achievable... now I'm not so sure! I really miss walking for both my health and how much weight it helps me lose but with the shorter days and other demands it's just not happening. Clocks go back on Saturday night so darker evenings and cooler weather are on the way, got to watch out for the comfort eating and try to stay active.
Well done gang, see you next round! X11 -

Day/Weight/Previous Day’s Comment
10/19 207.3 Walked 4 miles, menu planned, grocery shopped, ready to get things back on track! 1588 cal, 116 net carbs, AF.
10/20 206.2 Walked .5 + 3 miles, Strength Training 1 hr, 1532 cal, 52 net carbs, 2 glasses wine.
10/21 207.1 Walked 2.5 + 2, gardening, 1563 cal, 116 net carbs, AF. The quesadillas and pizza were not the best decisions for meals. But while I ate pizza at book club I did not drink! The drive home requires my attention on the interstate in the dark.
10/22 206.8 Walked 1 mile, Strength Training 1 hr, 2105 cal, 102 net carbs, 2 glasses wine.
10/23 206.1 Walked 3.2 miles, gardening, 1894 cal, 74 net carbs, 2 glasses wine.
10/24 206.8 Walked 3 miles, 1784 cal, 83 net carbs, 3 glasses wine.
10/25 205.9 Walked 4 miles, Bike 20 min, 1808 cal, 110 net carbs, AF.
10/26 207.0 Walked 4.75 miles, 2190 cal, 129 net carbs, Torchy’s Tini. Weight up due to snacks not meals. Went to Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo plus John Waite concert last night. They still have great voices! Really enjoyed John Waite’s opener as he sang a wide variety of songs.
10/27 208.9 🎂 Too much celebrating this week. 61 Bday bring it on! Sounds like I’m going to have 2 grand babies … end of Dec 2021 and then mid June 2022. Walked 3.3 miles, Strength Training 1 hr (this class is wearing me out I’m useless after returning home for hours on end!), 2282 cal, 249 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Our dog ate the steak and then Plan B: Pizza did me in on carbs & calories! GO ASTROS!
10/28 207.8 Walked 3.1 miles, ? cal, ? net carbs, AF. Decided to take a little break and not track but choose wisely. That worked right up until the Dove dark chocolate raspberry sorbet bar at 10pm.
Didn't make progress and just holding out at my higher vacation weight. Need to push through but mentally I'm not there. So many thoughts running through my head, slight depression and my anxiety is high this week. Talks of DH's retirement maybe in Jan 2022 (I retired in 2019), talks of finance & medical insurance considerations, DH wants to move away from Houston, alternatively considering huge remodel, DH wants to sell the fishing camp & boat, DS1 had trouble at the camp with the AC leaking in the ceiling & the boat (managing a 2nd home is a pain but nice since my mom lives next door), DS1 is having a baby in Dec, then DD told us she too is pregnant and due in June, loaning my youngest $ for a new car, my 61st birthday hit me harder than my 60th, planning baby shower for next week, my mom is having issues so doctors appts in Houston next week, she is also constantly having issues with her home and requiring lots of contractors or help since her husband passed last year, my mom is coming in for a visit for a couple of weeks, both my SILs are moving parents into their homes over the next month (should my sister and I be thinking about doing this with our mom?), etc. I need to pull myself together mentally and give myself some personal time.
Plans today to go to my strength training class before jumping into the car for the 5+ hr trip to the fishing camp.12 -

@Lilylady3k My head exploded just reading everything you're facing at the moment, no wonder you're feeling so stressed and anxious you poor thing! Congrats on becoming a 2x nana but wow, what a lot to take on. I totally understand how DH's retirement can be really unsettling for you, I'm relieved my DH is returning to working at the office a few days a week. Also facing similar with my mum, her house is slowly falling apart and she hates using contractors so most of the work falls to me. In a year or so my brother will be moving out of London into a more rural area and will be building a 'granny annexe' onto his house for mum to live in. My DH's parents are in India and are both needing more and more care as they age. We have talked about moving them here but I don't think they would feel comfortable away from their community and lifestyle. Hard work eh! Hang in there and keep sharing with us xx7

Round 165 goals: Pelo 2-3x/week; strength training 2-3x/week; 11,500 steps/day; <90 net carbs/day; lose as much weight as I can!
SW: 206.0
10/19: 205.6 Had a good day yesterday. 67 net carbs, step goal achieved, and strength training done. Also had my follow up doctor visit yesterday and she was quite impressed! 33lbs down since 8/16/21 according to her scale. Woohoo!
10/20 206.4 Disappointed? A little. Surprised? Not really. I was baking my daughter’s birthday cake yesterday, and making all of the candies I’m putting on top of it, so I was in the kitchen a long time. 58 net carbs though, step goal achieved, and Pelo ride done. On to today!
10/21 206.8 Had another great day yesterday. 61 net carbs, step goal hit, and some strength training done. Why the uptick again? Hormones is the most likely culprit. Being a female is so fun! 🤣
10/22. 205.4 Well yesterday took a turn. We unexpectedly had to put our 3 year old cat down. She ate a thread that got all tangled in her intestines and the vet said there wasn’t really much that could be done to save her. The kids are devastated, and I’m taking it harder than I expected too. She was such a good kitty. We got the call in the middle of dinner, then went to say good bye. I decided to jump on the Pelo once we got back to pedal out some tears. 78 net carbs, but step goal not hit because of poor River Song. 💔
10/23 🏕 DNW 48 net carbs yesterday. Hit well over my step goal too. Overall a great day and wonderful first night camping.
10/24 🏕 DNW 91 net carbs- it was DDs birthday and I had baked a “150 hour chocolate cake” for her that I had to try a small slice of. It was worth the extra carbs! Fell short by just under 1,000 on my step goal, but I’m learning if I stress out and try to make up the shortage too close to bedtime that it always seems to backfire on me. So it is what it is. I still cleared over 10,500. On to this fresh and new week!
10/25 205.4 69 net carbs yesterday, step goal not quite completed. And then, monthly hormonal shift in full effect too. Oh well. It is what it is. I’m just going to keep putting my nose to the grindstone and putting in the work. This will be over soon!
10/26 206.8 It seems I’ve hit the PMS plus, so hopefully that means I’m about through the stall. Had a good day yesterday- 56 net carbs and step goal achieved. I just got a new book too- The New Rules of Lifting for Women. I can’t wait to put it to work!
10/27 207.0 Looks like this round is going to be a bust, unless I get a nice surprise tomorrow. It is what it is, I’m learning to accept how my body works-namely the cyclical stall every few weeks- rather than let it bother me or cause more frustration than needed. I’m still mildly frustrated though, I won’t lie. 58net carbs yesterday and a Pelo ride, leaves me feeling really good this morning. The New Rules book has me considering upping my protein by a substantial amount, which means I’d probably use more protein shakes. I am curious how it would affect me overall. I’m not even halfway through the book yet though, despite every attempt to plow through it as fast as humanly possible to I can get to work implementing it!
10/28 206.2 And the stall is through! Had a great day yesterday- 29 net carbs (shocker for me! 😱), hit my step goal, and finally got to start on the New Rules weight workout. On to the next round!

10/22 207.2 I'm glad to be out of the teens and solidly in the 200 + single digits. Down a smidgen over 70 pounds. I don't mind plateaus. I feel good swimming laps, doing tai chi & chair yoga, even though I'm famished after time in the water.
10/23 206.2 weight fluctuates. I'm happy to have lost since I had a headache & backache followed by two peanut butter & honey sandwiches (totally off my plan) last night.
This is a very interesting journey with surprises along the way!
10/24 205 Go figure...a friend stopped by unexpectedly with a box of cinnamon rolls yesterday afternoon, I had three as I had coffee & we chatted. And I lost weight this morning?
10/25 206.2 swam for an hour, overate, popcorn, energy bars, Babe Ruth bar, 2 extra bananas. Dang swimming makes me way more hungry than any other exercise! Hope tomorrow's weight isn't outrageous.
10/26 206.2 Whew - I must have just eaten to my calorie expenditure yesterday. So happy to not have gained. I feel strong, enjoy the effects of exercise endorphins, and love walking in these woods. Sunrise was full of brilliant colors this morning.
10/27 207.8 Salty blue corn tortilla chips & way too much hummus as I was stress eating & packing up to depart these northern lands. Back to where I began this round. At least I'm maintaining & can later release this weight.
10/28 206.6 Whoo whoo, I'm a bit less than when I started this challenge, so I'm good!
Started at 278 about 5 years ago. At least I'm not gaining 10-15 pounds a year as I age!

10/19: 224.7 - Down is down right? I've been feeling like my loss has been slowing down, and it has, but I'm still on about a 12 lbs per month pace since the beginning. It's just that the past month has been about 10 lbs so it seems a lot slower. Anyway, my cardio is getting to be better than ever which is honestly all I wanted. 8 months ago I was on supplemental O2 24/7 after COVID pneumonia, so to now say my cardio is better than when I was a high school athlete really makes me appreciate the work I've put in. Long blurb but just a thought I had this morning.
10/20: 224.7 - Hey not up is good! I gotta stop hitting the snooze button in the morning. It takes away precious workout minutes. I want to workout at least 15-20 minutes longer than the 30 minute ride I do.
10/21: 224.0 - The scale I usually use said 222.2 but I don't trust a 2.5 lbs swing when the secondary scale says a .7 lbs swing. If it's that low tomorrow, I'll go with that. Didn't do 45-50 minutes on the bike as planned, but did 40 and my legs are dead. Stretching all day so I can go again tomorrow. I wanted to be under 224 by 10/25 4 days to get there!
10/22: 221.6 - Alright both scales were in agreement with this so I'll absolutely take it! I'm keeping the pace I wanted to be under 200 by Christmas!
10/23: 220.5
10/24: 220.0 - I rarely post on weekends but this was something to get excited about! So close to 80 lbs down. So close to being in the teens. This week is going to be exciting (hopefully). Work hard and push through plateaus and you are rewarded big on the other side! Going to see Hamilton tonight and wearing some new, smaller dress clothes. So excited!
10/25: 220.0 - I'm guessing that the scale didn't reset this morning, the other scale said 221.2 and I didn't work out this morning so I definitely expect to be higher but I'll probably work out tonight. Motivation to get to the teens.
10/26: 222.7 - OOF a bit of a bump here. Some would say the cheesesteak, fries, boneless wings and not working out yesterday is responsible. Eating good today and drinking tons of water to help flush the system. Set a new PR on the Peloton for a 20 minute ride so that felt good at least. And like I said, I wanted to be below 224 by yesterday and even with this bump, I am. Next goal is under 212 by Thanksgiving.
10/27: 222.7 - Same as yesterday. Likely not going to be below 222 but that's okay. I know I'm working hard and I now fit in Large shirts so progress is being made!
10/28: 222.4 - Hey I'll take it. Didn't meet the goal but barely missed it AND this was a weigh-in without working out so no sweating to bring the weight down. I'll take this all day! Setting next goal sub 220.9 -

I need some accountability as I fell off the wagon.
I had an UGW 150, but it didn't really feel sustainable once I was there. I was always hungry.
I think150-155 is more reasonable, but I need to get back there and stay there. More water!

10/19 - 218 (-.6) I changed my starting weight to what I weighed when I started this journey, a month before I started logging everything on MFP and, I decided to reduce my goal weight to one more in line with exactly where I’d love to be . When I first started, I didn’t really believe I could do this. I’m starting to believe and am almost halfway there.
10/20 - 218.4 (-.2) Yesterday I swam 1350 yards. It took a bit longer than my usual hour workout, but I felt good so I kept going. My longest swim yet. Today is no organized exercise, just a busy day. I need to get back into my art studio and get painting. Hopefully I’ll have some time tonight.
10/21 - 217.6 (-1.0) A good day yesterday staying within calories goals. I didn’t drink enough water, so I need to do better. Hoping to swim today if I can fit it in between scheduled meetings.
10/22 - 218.0 (-.6) Bouncing around a little. Swimming was great. I usually eat back about half of my calories. Yesterday, it was most of them. I didn’t get all my water in for the second day in a row. Today is my indulgence meal so there may be a bigger bounce over the next few days. It always drops off fairly quickly.
10/23 - 220.2 (+1.6) Oops! I had pizza for my indulgence meal and I’m guessing this bump is from all the salt. But, no worries, it will drop in the next few days and I’ll be back on track. I eat one indulgence meal a week and it’s really helped me. I know I only have to wait a few days to eat something I might be craving so it’s easier to stay on plan. Luckily I have five days left in this challenge.
10/24 - 219.2 (+.6) While I know this bouncing is part of the journey, it scares me every time. At least I’m a bit closer to getting off this water weight. Hiking today with my sister and dogs. Brrr! It’s going to be cold when we start.
10/25 - 218 (-.6) Our hike yesterday was chilly, but we did 3 miles. The weight is coming back down. What a relief. I’ll focus on water and eating under my calorie level today. No organized exercise on my busy schedule.
10/26 - 217.2 (-1.4) Phew! I won’t meet my goal this round, but I’m happy to be heading downward once again. Drank all my water yesterday and stayed under calories. Swimming is on the schedule today.
10/27 - 217.4 (-1.2) Swimming was great. I swam 1300 yards in an hour. I love that I’m getting faster a few seconds at a time. A little disappointed in my weigh in this morning. I was really hoping to be in the 216’s. Hopefully, one of those whooshes will be coming soon. I think I need to pay attention to logging as accurately as possible, so I can decide if I need to make any other changes. I’m still down this round and that’s definitely something to celebrate.
10/28 - 216.8 (-1.8) Yay! This is great for my final round weigh-in. I was looking at my logging over the last few weeks and the number of calories I’m eating has creeped up a bit. I’m over my calorie goal a bit more often, sometimes just a hundred or so, but it’s clear that I need to get back to preparing meals and snacks in advance and to say no to that last bit of food each day. On to the next round!!

10/18 …..185.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
10/19 …..186.6 ….. [/color=fblue (trend weight 186.9) Not such a great start to this round. Meals were great yesterday. Movement very little due to doctor appointment. Also friends and well-wishers stopping by before my surgery Friday one with two types of very unique homemade cookies, another with a crème pie. Another with apple bread lightly glazed. Reno folks were here too. Some good progress was made on that front in the landscaping department. I shared all the goodies with the workers so there is not too much left today. I’m going to try for an excellent day today. It is supposed to be a beautiful day for this time of year in my neck of the woods. Perhaps some yard walking since I won’t be able to leave. I live on a hill so there are lots of opportunities to walk steep.
10/20 …..185.0 ….. (trend weight 186.8) I got a bad report from two EKG’s they did for pre-op. It appears the left side of my heart is not flowing blood smoothly like the right. There are delays, hiccups, sputters etc that may indicate a blockage. They will talk to a cardiologist to get the EKG’s looked at (they tried it twice) to make sure I’m okay for surgery but it should be okay because they will not be using a ventilator. When I originally did my Chemo, they said that one of my medication bags held a chemo med that could cause left ventricle problems in the future. So here I am….. I think there will be a cardiologist in my future unfortunately. So far I have not heard that this will stop my current surgery so I will spend tonight packing and I’ll be leaving in tomorrow. I’ll be back on Saturday night. I use a home PC for myfitnesspal so I don’t know if I will be able to check in or not. I will certainly try. I will record my weight in the morning before I leave. I feel okay about this surgery, just not okay about the new info on the heart!
10/21 …..185.2 ….. (trend weight 186.6) A good day yesterday but a bit too much bread with the apple bread I had for a snack with black coffee. I am leaving today for my surgery sometime this morning. Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes, the prayers and the good vibes. I will check in when I can. Keep going everyone!
10/22 …..188.2 ….. (trend weight 186.8) Surgery was almost cancelled as my glucose was at 366 Fasting that morning. They pulled in a total of 5 anesthesiologists to confer. To give me an insulin shot (which I don’t normally take, just pills) would constitute the start of a “treatment plan”. Living 4 hours away and without having planned this, they did not want to start that as it would mean they would have to start following up with appointments etc. They finally got special permission if I was put into twilight but not to the point of sleeping. Lidocain was used to numb which did not work. I felt all 4 cuts and removal (which was actually pretty quick). But it hurt like Haides. Awake, I told them I was feeling every bit of the pain. They re-numbed me for the stitches. I considered it all my own fault because they had to so lightly use everything for my surgery. I didn’t eat healthy on the way down and could probably have prepared better. I think I am already beginning to heal, it is itching like heck but still very swollen. I haven’t actually seen it yet as it’s not time to take off the bandages. I’ll closely monitor my healing over the next few days due to the high glucose problem which greatly affects healing. The stitches on the interior will dissolve by themselves. I’m feeling pretty good overall but just a bit wobbly. Now, we wait for pathology which I feel very good about since they had already removed a lot of it and it came up clear. Taking the rest out is a precaution and I feel like it will test okay too. Thanks again to all the wonderful wishes and comments. It’s nice to have the great support that MFP offers in every area. Hopefully this constitutes that the whole matter is OVER! I missed you all.
10/23 …..DNW ….. (trend weight DNW) Travel home today from hospital.
10/24 …..DNW ….. (trend weight DNW)
) 10/25 …..187.0 ….. (trend weight 186.9) Weight down by a good amount today. Thank you TMI. I still need to get down below 185.6 to make goal. That is about 1 ½ pounds and I don’t know that it’s possible, especially after this initial drop. However, I’ll take anything I can get. The travel and medical are over for right now, it’s time to take advantage of the moments!
10/26 …..188.0 ….. (trend weight 187.0) Meals were good. Water was good. Steps were down a bit and so was calorie burn but that is not surprising while healing.
…..10/27 …..188.2…..…..(Trend weight 186.8) Weight slightly up but trending downward again. Diet was okay yesterday. Not perfect, but okay. Very little movement again. Trying to fit in some steps but, otherwise, the surgical site pain is getting a bit worse although it looks good, not infected. Part of the healing I suppose. Feels like skin stretching and pinching and it is swollen for sure. It started hurting worse after my shower yesterday and my bandage change. Still nothing from pathology but with all the covid related illnesses, I suppose there are delays. On the diet front: Today I will try to keep the snacks down. Although all of them are low cal, too many still add up! I am going to try to help paint some trim boards today if my arm will hold up. We’ll see! I will have a miserable gain at the end of the challenge. I’m very disappointed. Focus, Focus!
…..10/28 …..189.2…..…..(Trend weight 187.3) Shall I blame my daughter for all the food she is bringing in and all the junk she is baking (especially during the Halloween/Fall season)? Shall I blame the surgery and the feeling sorry for myself? Shall I blame the nervous worry of what my prognosis is in regards to the cancer? Or shall I simply blame myself for what I CHOOSE to put into my mouth? I’m a pretty responsible person so I already know the answer to those questions. Going into the next round, I’ve got to get back to business no matter what anyone else around me is doing. Great Job to all those who stuck to their exercise/dietary/AF goals. You will all be helping me, going forward, and I thank you for that. See you in R167.

¤Looking back on my weight loss history, I cycled from 196lbs to 199lbs for about 6 rounds, even touching 200lbs again before dropping to the 180's.
{Day/Weight/Comment}
▪Day1▪︎ Tu•10/19- ¤195.8 (Mo•10/18- 1pm, 7pm;15hrs) 40g carbs; Fiber•10g; 80ozs water.
Up a little from end weight. I'm happy to see this number on the 1st day of this round. It is proven in my weight loss history, that I touch every tenth of a pound before dropping a full one pound of weight and settling there. This is the last one for 195. Even if I revisit any of the tenths this round, I know I'm close to seeing 194 soon. I've already touched 194.8 last round. Point 6, 4 and 2 here I come😀
▪Day2▪︎ We•10/20- ¤196 (Tu•10/19- 1pm, 7pm, 9pm; 18hrs) 46g carbs; Fiber•8g; 80ozs water.
▪Day3▪︎ Th•10/21- ¤196.8 (We•10/20- 1pm, 6:30pm, 8:30pm; 16hrs) 43g carbs; Fiber•24g; 64ozs water. Just me adjusting to fluctuating weather temperatures. Eating a little more and drinking water too late in the day.
▪Day4▪︎ Fr•10/22- ¤197.8 (Th•10/21- 11am, 4pm, 7:30pm, 9pm; 15hrs) 50g carbs; Fiber•12g; 64ozs water.
▪Day5▪︎ Sa•10/23- ¤195.6 (Fr•10/22- 5:15pm, 7:30pm; 20.25hrs) 45g carbs; Fiber•31g; 48ozs water. Yesterday was the first time in about a week that I wasn't hungry early in the day. I guess my body needed a refeed.
▪Day6▪︎ Su•10/24- ¤198 (Sa•10/23- 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 8pm, 11pm; hrs) 78g carbs; Fiber•g; 80ozs water.

10/28 - 148.5 - I really don't know. I don't feel so bloated. Visibly, only a touch of bloat in the low belly (just below belly button) which is usually where it's first and most visible. Water has been good, been including teas and such to sooth my throat and take my herbal supplements to help my immune system avoid whatever it is BF has. So far, so good. He's still convinced it's inevitable I'll get it. I'm determined to prove him wrong haha! Food been okay, not perfect. Had more leftover chicken noodle soup for lunch yesterday. Today I'm going to aim for something different with less carbs, if I can. I have half my salad from yesterday to finish up (and another full package I need to eat up before it, too, trends towards going bad). I feel like all my go-to foods have carbs. Not a ton, but it adds up over the day and all my meals/snacks. Wondering if I should buy myself a glucose monitor to see how my body reacts as I try to keep carbs lower. Hmm... they have fairly cheap ones at walmart, too. Won't break the bank, might have get one just so I have it. Especially since my entire family besides my mom has diabetes already. I'm playing extra cautious since my genes are against me here...
Previous Day's Comments10/19 - Bit of an uptick from a hectic evening stuffing my face so I could jump in the shower and get to bed in a timely manner. BF should be home about the same time as me tonight. I have dinner stuff made up, not sure if he'll eat it or not. We shall see. Wasn't overly hungry yesterday at lunch so only ate half. Dinner wasn't super large, either. Today I'll skip the breakfast burrito if they bring them, but I had to try yesterday since they said they were good. Water is good. Could've drank more yesterday but I was definitely running around a bit more unexpectedly. Lots of steps in, though! Today will likely be more of the same, steps wise. Will be sure to keep more water handy
10/20 - Shocked to be down. BF made it home safe last night. He didn't want my salmon so he made venison tenderloin with rice and steamed veggies (bringing salmon for lunch instead). Didn't eat until 8pm and I didn't go to bed until 9. Short night of sleep for me, but good to spend some time with him after 2 weeks. Apparently I'm in trouble with his dad because I couldn't make it up there. Unfortunately with outage work and us not being legally married, I don't get bereavement for his family and I couldn't take vacation time. I think he understood, but he hasn't met me and I think he's afraid he won't get to. BF doesn't have PTO left for this year so I think we may make a trip next year? We shall see. Another day of walking yesterday, though not as many steps since we did most of the work Monday (11000 vs 14000). Today we have to monitor contractors doing work and have 2 little tasks at hand to get done. Other than that, not much. Going to be a long 2 days for me since even the smallest tasks I'm not authorized to assist with (shadowing electricians... I'd rather not be accidentally shocked anyway). Days are longer when you're not doing much to pass time. Oh well. Keeping up with water well enough, which is good and keeps me making walking trips to the office haha!
10/21 - This is a false weight. Just as I came in to eat lunch, I was notified of another death in the family. BF's ex-FIL passed yesterday morning. It was a gut punch and I immediately lost my appetite and didn't eat anything. Had a nice filling dinner of homemade shrimp and crawfish etouffee made by Fam who came to say hello to us for a few minutes, though. Slept like a rock last night, I guess I was more tired than I thought because I fell asleep so quickly and didn't really move. I know I woke up a few times to roll over and deal with the dog stealing blankets, but I don't remember it like I normally would. Hopefully they're ready today to finish up outage, otherwise electricians have no more work and it'll be a long boring day. At least it's my Friday
10/22 - Little tick up as I ate more yesterday and dinner had some sodium. Over my minimum calorie goal by 200, but according to fitbit, I definitely was under maintenance by 1,000. Talked with doc about my meds and TOM coming for frequent long visits -- I think this week my body settled a bit more into it so we are giving a tad more time to see if I backtrack - if so, she'll adjust. If not, I'll continue on, nothing seems to be impacting me negatively. Yay! Not much else going on. Will take some time to catch up on everyone later!
10/23 - DNP
10/24 - Didn't weight yesterday because I had just chugged some water before I got the chance to weigh in. Today's uptick is brought to you by working at the land building a deer stand. It was fun, but it was definitely a struggle to keep up with water. Got a lot of steps in, though! Today should be a lazy football day. Early to bed since I have to commute again this week. Will focus on my water and better foods. Trying to fast as long as I can as well.
10/25 - Shocked to be down with a nice heavy steak dinner last night. Only got about 60 oz water so behind on that, too. Being slightly down on an early weigh in, after a weekend, as me surprised. I'll take it! This week I'm not sure I'll get too many steps. Hopefully I can find excuses to get up and move, though. I will be having nightly dinner leftovers for lunch this week, but we have a few good ones planned out. Also bought some extra steamable veggies I can pop in the microwave for a few minutes while prepping other things to supplement lunch. Today I'll have balsamic parmesan baked zucchini, roasted sweet potato, and steak. Yum! Also need to keep an eye on carbs since my fasting glucose is a tad higher in the normal range than Doc and I like, so I'll be doing my best to eat healthier in that regard. If y'all have advice, send it! I don't want to miss out on my veggies, but I need to cut down (not eliminate) the other carb-heavy stuff I typically eat like breads and such. I know I eat too much of it, I need to learn to portion that part of my life haha!
10/26 - Slow and steady, if I can keep that up these next two mornings, I'll be at or lower than last round's end weight. I'm okay with that. Drove to work yesterday only to realize outage was cancelled and had to drive home since I left my computer here... guess I'm WFH the remainder of the week. BF sick (not COVID) so I'm glad I'm not at work. I don't want to share germs, covid or not. Doing everything in my power to boost immunity, avoid him, and keep house cleaned and sanitized in hopes I can skip out on being sick. Stopped at store on way home to stock up on sick items. Even had homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner (with leftovers today for us). Will try to take pup for a walk to get some good fresh air for myself later on today as well. I need to walk anyway (:
10/27 - All I can think of is sodium. Between the salty dinner last night and all the soups we've been eating, I imagine that's high. I'm having that heavy bloated feeling so it makes sense there, too. Need to take pup on another walk as soon as things dry up a tad from storms last night. Not sure what's on the menu today. Leftover chicken noodle soup if BF doesn't eat it (he needs it more than I do) otherwise I'll do my best to find something balanced. Water has been good, but meeting my goal with herbal teas to help avoid this cold. So far, I'm feeling fine, hopefully it stays that way. Need to refocus on my health again immediately! I keep thinking of my fasting glucose and I want to be a little lower in the normal range -- losing this weight and watching my carbs needs to be priority right now. It'll force me to eat healthier which will help my immunity anyway. I'm determined

Day/Weight/Comment
10/19: -182.0 had a work lunch but ate too much then felt guilty the rest of the day. Didn’t bike a lot either just a short 11K commute. Oh well. First time in a month I’m so off and unorganized with food.
10/20: -183.0 was so tired yesterday:( went for a short ride and had to turn around. Also the wind was strong and cold. Food choices weren’t good either. Hope for a better day today.
10/21: - 183.0 great day! 40 K ride with a friend. It was nice.
10/22: -182.8 did a 25k commute ride to the my doctor’s Office. And food was almost under control… had some chips in the evening and felt a bit guilty.
10/23: - 181.6 had the flu shot and been napping all day. Didn’t feel well. But managed to cook enough for two weeks.
10/24: - 181.4 feeling better today.
10/25: - 181.0 Nice to see the numbers coming down🙂
10/26: - 181.2 i feel I’m continuously hungry… but I’m eating within my calories. But I’m not extremely accurate with tracking. So that might be it.
10/27: - 181.2 arghhh… I need to learn to control myself when I go to a restaurant! Maybe a good idea is for a while to say no to any eating out invitation. Until I get I to the habit of ordering and eating less… or just allow myself once a month to go out. But I felt very sick after eating more than my stomach can handle. It was too much food
10/28: - 180.6 😃 nice finish for round 410 -
Count Me in! I need the accountability. As of this morning's weigh in, I am exactly 20.2 pounds away from my Happy Place. Best of luck to all of us.

Hi all! Ashley here, 34 years old.
Original SW - 293 (01/28/2021)
GW - 168
R164 SW 208.4 EW 204.8 (-3.6)
R165 SW 204.8 EW 205.4 (+0.6)
R166 SW: 205.4
R166 GW: 204
Day/Weight/Comment
10/19 / 205.4 / Ready to kick this mid-200's to the curb! Let's do this.
10/20 / 204 / Oh hey girl hey!!! There's the drop I've been looking for. Hubby and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary last night. We opted to stay in and he cooked me a fabulous meal. Had planned my calories at maintenance - 10% and am happy with how I managed myself.
10/21 / 202 / Looks like my body is saying goodbye to what it held on to in R165! I had the hardest ride on the Peloton to date yesterday morning and a really great day of eating. This is my lowest weight ever on this journey and it officially moves me from the obese BMI category to overweight! WOO HOO!
10/22 / 201.4 / Yesterday was a mix of yoga, strength training, and walking. Ate on track, went to my Mom's for dinner and cooked a healthy meal for her. Glad to see more progress today!
10/23 / 199.8 / I'm not exactly sure when the last time I saw a 1 to start my weight was, but the last memory I do have of it was around 15 years ago, so this is a VERY exciting day indeed. The weight seems to just be tumbling off me this round!
10/24 / 200 / It was pouring rain here yesterday, but it wasn't snow so I'll take it! Got myself out for a good walk, rode the Peloton, and did my yoga. Noticing how much better it feels to be inside my body these days.
10/25 / 202.2 / Fun day yesterday doing a few shorter hikes in the mountains. Made some great memories. Also did a harder than normal 30 minute power yoga class.. loving how I can notice my strength improving.
10/26 / 202.2 / Spent 50 minutes on the Peloton yesterday which is my longest ever.
10/27 / 200.8 / Yesterday was a fairly normal day but I did get out for a few extra walks than I have been as of late. This dancing right around 200 is an exciting time!
10/28 / 199 / Well R166 more than made up for the disappointment of R165! I have seen the 100's twice this round - so excited to make it my permanent home! See you in R167.8 -

10/26-171-I am starting today with a walk. I need to get back to making exercise a priority. Glad to be back here.
10/27-168-Well, I got back on track. Yesterday morning, I set out to walk 4 miles. It was taking a while and I realized the horse needed exercise too, so I put my hiking boots on and finished the last 1.5 with him. No junk and lots of water.
10/28-167Hiked with the horse again and didn’t eat any junk.7 -
@Lilylady3k, 🎉Happy Birthday!🎉
@CamandJarvis, I hope you don't get your boyfriend's cold and prove him wrong too! Salt water gargle (himalayan pink salt) before bed helps. You could also use peroxide mixed with water as a gargle. Use a neti pot to keep sinuses clear of bacteria. These actions help me because I live with people that don't seem to care if they're spreading germs.2 -
Round 166 (my third)
October 19 - October 28, 2021
Female, 5’7”
SW: 161.2 pounds (Oct 18, 2021, EO Round 165)
RGW: 159.5 (-1.7 pounds) - which would take me out of the “overweight” BMI to “healthy” BMI
Day/Weight/Comment
10/19: 159.0 - What? Was this a magical whoosh? Yesterday’s weight was disappointing and could be chalked up to several high-sodium meals in a row. I guess being back home, drinking a normal amount of water and eating our usual foods helped flush things out. I’m sure there will be an uptick tomorrow, but I’ll enjoy being at a so called “healthy” BMI for the day.
10/20: 158.7 - Surprised and pleased, but I’ll take it. I’ve upped my move goals on my Apple Watch a tiny bit from 550 calories to 600 calories this week as well as played around with my macros yesterday (C-50%, P-30%, F-20%) and started tracking my potassium in addition to sodium. I’m not sure I’ll hit my macros as I was having enough trouble getting to the protein % when it was lower. For right now, I’ll use it more to guide than to stress out about.
10/21: 159.4 - Yesterday was another day of 4 hrs in the car. Did my workout in the morning. In logging my food, my eyes were opened as to how high in sodium shrimp is even before adding any spices or marinades.
10/22: 158.7 - Hubby’s birthday yesterday so planned for the chocolate cake and red wine. Stayed within calories but macros definitely skewed fat and carbs.
10/23: 159.2 - Went out to dinner last night for the official celebration of hubby’s b-day. Delicious tapas, but I’m still thirsty from the sodium. I was a bit overwhelmed with the thought of trying to estimate the calories of the variety of small plates that we ordered and portions, etc. that I just did a quick add of 1000 calories. First time I’ve done that - it feels a little like cheating. Did a late workout before getting ready to go out to make sure there would at least be some calorie room for whatever was to come.
10/24: 159.0 - Slow and steady. Back to where I was at the beginning of the round.
10/25: 159.0 - Same ‘ol, same ‘ol.
10/26: 158.5 - Great workout, salad for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner.
10/27: 157.0 - Another magical whoosh. Once again, lesson learned to be consistent about calories and exercise daily and do not be discouraged by minor vagaries of the scale.
10/28: 157.4 - Late workout and pre-logged all my foods to fit calories and mostly fit macros.
Total round weight loss/gain to date from EO last round: -3.8 pounds6 -

Hang in there and keep sharing with us xx
@39flavours - Thank you for the should to whine on! Sounds like you too have aging parents.
I'm starting to think that if DH retires then there will be more freedom to do what we want but then again ... what to do and where to go ... indecision is driving me crazy.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!4

10/25: 57.4 kg - 20 min workout in the evening. I also made a beet smoothie for the first time. Was a bit repulsed for the first few sips but decided to get along with it and ended up tasting not bad actually! Lol.
10/26: 56.7 kg - 25 minute workout this morning! Had so much energy and felt so motivated so took advantage of it releasing my halloween / coffin bookmarks in my shop today!! Stoked!
10/27: 56.8 kg - 10 minute morning workout. ate healthy yesterday too! I think ive maintained this weight for a few weeks now.
10/28: 56.9 kg - not disappointed. I think im at a good maintenance point right now. I meal prepped some food last night like pasta with spinach and garlic sauce, beef broccoli and mushrooms stir fry (can be eaten as lettuce wraps), and boiled beets. Definitely incorporating more fresh veg into my diet now so im hoping eatinf healthy will speed up my weight loss journey. See you in Round 167!
