I am Catherine, a 44yr old, 5' 7” lady from North Wales, UK.
Round 166 - SW79kg (12st 6lb), EW 75kg. Was my first week calorie controlling for a long time so the loss was all water really… now the hard work starts!
Round 167 - SW 75kg, EW 74.5kg. Was a tough week and I blew it overnight between the end of the last round and the start of this one!! 😫
11/8: 76kg, 11st 13.6lb. Yesterday was a bad bad day. For future reference wine at lunchtime is my enemy!
11/9; 75kg, 11st 11lb. Back on track with my eating but struggling really badly with indigestion. Oh my god the indigestion. I feel SO ill. I’m popping proton pump inhibitors like they are going out of fashion but really I need to stress less… easier said than done!
11/10; 74.5kg, 11st 10lb and still full of indigestion pills!
11/11: 74.5kg, 11st 10lb
11 /12: 74.5kg, 11st 10lb

Round 168 (100th for me). I prove yet again round after round that I need this to help keep me on track.
@QuiltingJaine-thank you for setting up the new round.
I was so disgusted and disappointed with myself the last few day of last round; so challenge for this round is to stay on track; I'm endeavouring yet again to have a binge free 10 days, after all it is only 10 days! – I want to drop a good few pounds by the start of December as I feel more comfy in a dress I want to wear for Peaky Blinders dance night – any loss will be a win!
Covid restrictions have mostly been lifted in England – we reached “freedom day” months ago, but remember there is still a pandemic, cases are continuing to rise: Covid is still around! Continue to wash hands, be kind, wear a mask in public indoor settings, always consider others.
[Spoiler]
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

SW: 136.2
Day/Weight/Comment
11/8 136.2 – better numbers ! 7.3 miles walked yesterday, calories and carbs both just slightly over, no binge.
11/9 135.8 – yes! Back to where I was 5 days ago; 2 days to gain 3+ pounds, but 3 days to lose it and feel better for it ! A binge not only brings weight gain, but makes me feel bloated, uncomfortable, lethargic, generally disgruntled and my mouth breaks out in ulcers. It's about time I leant my lesson! 11.75 miles walked yesterday, a very good food day, calories well under, carbs just 9 over. No binge!
11/10 135 - 9.57 miles walked & then a good few hours helping DS with her newly purchased bungalow; taking up old wooden floor panels, underlay, removing skirting boards then loading into the skip. Reasonable food day, just about kept with in calories, but exceeded carbs.
11/11 135 – 10.01 miles walked yesterday, excellent food choices; calories and all macros in credit.
11/12 135.6 – 3 miles only walked yesterday. Over indulged on freshly baked crusty bread, but stopped myself going into a binge. Both calories & carbs over, but I did log every mouthful which is an improvement for me. Travelled up to childmind my little toddler DGS & took him up to spend the day with DIL and 2 DGDs aged 5 months & 3, we baked cup cakes with the older two then walked to the childrens playground before the return journey. A wonderful family day :) .

11/9 – 231.2 – Met all round goals yesterday and feeling pretty great!
11/10 – 231.8 – I got some not so great news yesterday so all the healthy eating and goals went out the window. Honestly, surprised that the uptick wasn’t more! But today will be a good day.
11/11 – 229.2 – So happy with this number, just hope it’s real! Yesterday I ate well and exercised. Just gotta keep going! (PS - I hate this mfp update grrrrr)
11/12 – 228.2 – I had a subway salad last night but I didn’t get all the extra sauces like I normally do. I also worked out twice in am and pm and will try to keep doing that.

Day/Weight/Previous Day’s Comment
11/8 207.9 Walked 3.3 miles, ? cal, ? net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Wonderful jazz music brunch at Brennan’s with our adult children (they threw in their credit cards and would not let us pay), 60th birthday celebration for DH since we had the kids all together. Walked through our daughter’s new home built in 1948 … definitely a fixer upper in an up and coming area of town. She told her siblings she was pregnant at brunch. So much celebration this weekend. Taking my mom to the airport today and pulling the plug on gluttony for the rest of the week!
11/9 207.4 Walk 3 miles, Bike 20 min, ? cal, ? net carbs, AF.
11/10 206.7 Walked 1.3 + 1.3 miles, Strength Training 1 hr, weeding garden, ? cal, ? net carbs, AF. Still not journalling my food but I am paying more attention Mon & Tues. TODAY is the day I pull it all back together water, tracking every bite and exercise. Took the leftover pumpkin cookies & pear cake from the baby shower to alumnae social event last night instead of a bottle of wine. All the sweet temptations are gone!
11/11 205.5 Walked 1.6 + 3.1 + 1 miles, 1524 cal, 114 net carbs, AF. Donated blood (targeting 4x per year). Started journaling my food for the day in the morning again and then updating it throughout the day. Definitely makes me think before putting something else in my tummy and I’m more accountable.
11/12 207.0 Walked 1.8 + 1.4 miles, Strength Training 1 hr, 2267 cal, 151 net carbs, Torchy’s Tini. DH went to happy hour with clients. My sister stopped by to drop something off so we ended up going out as well. After I returned home I walked the dog once more before DH returned.

11/08 - 182.4 Well the scale is up today, but that’s ok. I know I ate well yesterday and went for a hike. Hoping my last weigh-in wasn’t just a fluke and that the scale drops again.
11/09 - 180.8 Very happy to see the scale back down today. Ate well yesterday, though not much activity.
11/10 - 181.2 Sigh. Scale back up again for some reason. Stuck to my calories and meal plan yesterday though so will just keep at it.
11/11 - 182.6 I have no explanation for the scale going up once again. Stuck to my calories yesterday. Have to hope this is just normal fluctuation and I’ll have a big drop soon.
11/12 - 179.6 Grateful to see some forward progress. Stuck to my meal plan yesterday, though not much activity.

Hi just popping in via the Web page as the android app doesn't seem to support community any more 😞😞😞😞
I really hope they fix this soon because I rely on this and all you guys to keep me on the straight and narrow!
I'm not sure that using the Web page is going to work for me, feeling quite sad and anxious that this is as good as the new functionality is gonna get and I'm going to have to leave the group.
Has anyone heard anything? Xx

Day/Weight/Comment
11/08 - 180.2, ave 179.4
I had a fun day yesterday. I took my 4-mo-old puppy, Rory, to the local dog show and he earned his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate and his Novice Trick Dog title! It’s a huge show, but he did fine in the chaos of people, dogs, & noise. Here’s he is after doing his tricks.
11/09 - 180, ave 179.6
Ok, this makes sense since my calories have been very close to maintenance for the past week. Slowly dropping back down.
11/10 - 178, ave 179.2
Nice drop! I think it’s all the walking in obedience class, because my calories were barely below maintenance and I had some sherbet and some triscuits and cheese last night. Whatever! I’m off now for a walk with the pup, aiming for 3 miles. That’s about his limit for now, and will give me a little peace and quiet later!
11/11 -177.8, Ave 178.7
Cutting & pasting. Anyone know if there’s a place to give feedback on the “improved” format? 😤🤮🤯
11/12 - 179.2
My inner bear is trying to pack on weight for the winter. 🐻 Still not a fan of the new format, but I’m figuring in out.

OSW: 237.8 (Nov. 2016)
OGW: 199 (just to say I did)
Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205
Goals for this round:
Generally, keep it under control. Specifically, get some more exercise done.
Major Goal this round is to just lower my ten-day average from previous ten days. It has been creeping up for 60 days! (would have been more if not for this group!)
Round 168 Posts
Month/Day: Exercise / Comment
11/8: 207
I have NO explanation for this bump up from yesterday. Ok, yes I do but it involves an overabundance of information.
11/9: 206.6
Marginal day of following my self-imposed rules yesterday.
11/10: 205.6
Important work being done here. I wish I could remember that every day.
Had a spinning class last evening after work. I was there a few minutes early so I decided to do some upper body dumb-bell exercise. Very proud of myself for staying in my lane. The young lady next to me was using twice the weight I was lifting. Others were at many multiples more. I put my ego in my pocket and wasn’t even tempted to “look strong,” or “feel week!”
Very satisfying muscle soreness this morning and no injuries. Getting wise in my old age.
11/11: 206.2
I am totally fine in this neighborhood. I need to train my metabolism to like it here. I need my metabolism to trust me. “No Mr. Metabolism, I will never starve you. So, you can burn away at your heart’s content. No need to hoard calories and store them for later!”
OK, that was weird.
11/12: 205.6
This new format reminds me what it feels like to unexpectedly see friends from back home while you are on vacation. Except this time, I want my friends to keep hanging around.
Because of the new format, my posts have lost some weight too. Maybe that’s MFP’s ulterior motive. HA! Riding out the storm.

This is round 8 for me.

162 EW: 218.6
163 EW: 211.8
164 EW: 211.6
165 EW: 206.0
166 EW: 206.2
167 EW: 203.2
Round 168 goals: Pelo 2-3x/week; strength training 2-3x/week; 10,000 steps/day; <90 net carbs/day; lose as much weight as I can!
SW: 203.2
11/8: 201.8 53 net carbs, Pelo ride done, and step goal achieved. I’m starting to see a pattern emerging with the way my body loses now- stalling for about 2 weeks surrounding TOM, then suddenly dropping a lot all at once for about 10 days before starting the pattern again. That makes it feel like I have very little time each month to lose, but if it’s going to be bunch within those 10 days, then it’s really not so bad after all.
11/9: 201.6 63 net carbs, step goal achieved, and strength workout done. I had an incident where I had my injera recipe put into the MFP recipe calculator previously, but made it a little different this time but didn’t edit the recipe until after I already ate it. Still managed to pull off a good day in spite of the injera incident though, so I’m happy with that 0.2 loss! I also am wearing a pair of size 10 jeans today- the first time I’ve actually worn them since I bought them a few weeks ago as a motivator. Talk about a confidence boost!
11/10: 200.8 I’m so close to under 200 I can taste it! I was concerned pizza night night cause issues, but it obviously didn’t. 77 net carbs, step goal hit, and Pelo ride done. Come on 199!!!
11/11: 201.8 Well, here we are again. I’m not exactly surprised, just disappointed. I was hoping for another day or two to drop below 200 before the hormonal stall. No such luck. If this time around is anything like last time, that puts the end of the stall coming on Thanksgiving, just in time for the feasting day. Womp womp. Lol But it’ll pass, I know that! I can still very easily see <200 by the end of the month! 70 net carbs, step goal achieved, and strength training done yesterday.
11/12: 200.8 39 net carbs, step goal hit, and Pelo ride done. Maybe, just maybe I’ll see that 199 tomorrow yet. If not, then I’m sure it’ll be another couple of weeks. We’re attending a weeding out of state tomorrow evening, which means eating a few meals out this weekend. It’ll be what it’ll be, and I’ll be under 200 pretty darn soon regardless!

Previous Day's Comments
11/08 - Chili for dinner, that's all I can say about this. 80 oz water, only 10oz shy of what I normally try to drink so much better. Probably retaining some of it while I work to rehydrate. It will likely take a few days to flush out. Time change has my sleep messed so that's likely not helping, either. My birthday camping trip is this weekend since we had to postpone. Will be busy getting everything ready for that (:
11/09 - I'm beyond bloated this morning. Uncomfortably so, but at least not painful. BF had a gurgly stomach last night and he's thinking it was the chili finally getting to him. I'm wondering if that's my problem as well. No proper TMI is also adding to the scale. Water was okay, about 80oz. Instead of a workout, we reorganized house to bring BF's office back in the house now that it's getting a tad too chilly to be in the garage. It has a window unit AC, but no heat in there. Hopefully come January, we will be in a good enough place to look to buy a house that suits our needs so we don't have to have him taking over our dining room. (Especially frustrating when I'm working from home and he has to be on camera. The front door is in full view and only a corner of the living room is hidden. I have to plan my potty breaks, me leaving/coming home, and getting food from the kitchen around his meeting schedule to avoid being on camera.) Today I'm not sure about anything. Crazy meetings coming up right around the time it is warm/light enough out to walk. And food, well, getting ready for a weekend away so we've been trying to use up perishables before we go, limiting my healthy selection. I think I have one bag of salad left I might munch on.
11/10 - Better day yesterday! Did have a small bedtime snack of caramel popcorn to kill sweet tooth cravings. Thankfully it's really sweet to me so a small handful was more than enough. Other than that, stayed fairly well on track food-wise. Also managed my full 90oz water, yippee! Leftover tacos from dinner I'll munch on at lunch. Likely make more of a salad out of it than a taco like last night. Avoid those carbs. Unsure of dinner. BF was craving wings and the only good place in town to that has wings was closed last night so I'm anticipating eating out tonight. I should be able to plan around that, though.
11/11 - Quite happy with this drop off despite eating out last night. I was careful with food throughout the day and tried to make decent choices with what we have. Work sent me a $10 Starbucks gift card and my mom sent me $10 cash as well for Veteran’s day. BF has an awful day at work today (and is also a Veteran) so I’ll use those $20 to get us something from there. (We neither like Starbucks, but free is free. Long story short, he had a very bad experience with corporate telling him he’s a baby killer and they didn’t support the military while trying to order items while deployed. Target did something like that as well so we take our business elsewhere. They even took the money but refused to ship anything. It was all basic stuff like toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper.) Anyway, that’s my splurge. Tonight will be a nice dinner of pork chops, collard greens, and salad from Fam. Tomorrow will be my last weigh-in until Monday as we are tent camping and I won’t have my scale.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/08 - 217.2 I set my goal for this round to 215 because that will put me into "overweight" BMI. I've been snacking A LOT lately but I've also been working out like a madman so I feel like it's deserved. A healthy relationship with food is important to establish getting closer to the goal. Had my booster shot on Saturday and that knocked me out but still had a 45 minute PR on the Peloton.
11/09 - 218.9 My body does not like the beginning of the week lol. I didn't work out so that definitely plays a factor but this is every Monday/Tuesday. Took progress pictures this morning though and it's honestly crazy to see beginning of weight loss vs now.
11/10 - 215.2 I was surprised so I weighed on the back-up scale and got the same number. I don't make the news, I just report it. 3 rides and a 1.25 mile walk with the pups between last weigh in and this also very light lunch. This number made my day to be honest.
11/11 - 215.6 Glad to see others aren't loving the new update. Everything seems ... big. Oh well it's day 1 so we'll get used to it I suppose. Glad to see that my weight didn't go up too much today!
11/12 - 214.2 Loved seeing this drop this morning! Great way to kick off the weekend where I always push myself harder working out. Have a goal of 212 by Thanksgiving which looks very attainable right now. Oh also I'm just overweight now? Bye obese!

I have a Chromebook (as well as phone app) and it's blinding on my Chromebook! I haven't looked at the community page on the phone app yet, I'll admit I'm a tad overwhelmed as is and scared to even think about that. I've definitely had to turn down the brightness settings on this thing because of the update. Everything else I use is in "night mode" or "dark mode" so its easier on the eyes. Except here. Urgh.

11/08 – 129.0 Off to a great start. :P Note sarcasm. I know I had two contributing factors. #1 pasta for dinner which always gives me a temporary uptick #2 My parents have a huge stash of candy bars in their home, so yesterday I put four of them in my bag for “emergency”. Well, all four are gone……. I need to go grocery shopping. There is no selection of healthy food in this house as I am spending all my time on other responsibilities. I need to change that. Today is driving 30 min to my mother, meet home health aid who is starting today, assist with meeting with respite care evaluator and help with all paper work, load my SUV full of their trash to take 30 min each way to the dump tomorrow, drive another 30 minutes to my father’s rehab, visit with him alone (first time alone since his hip break), eventually drive the 40 minutes home, then try to drive home during rush hour traffic
11/09 – 129.4 Yesterday was expected to be a busy but planned out day. Mother’s aid was coming for the first day of help and I was going to drive down and meet/visit, then stay through into the afternoon for a visit from the care assessment nurse for my mother to join my father in a respite care facility next week. Then I would head to my fathers for first alone visit in over three weeks, since his hip broke. Well, 15 minutes before I planned to leave, I learn that on day one, the aid is not coming!!! To top it off, the manager of the home health company told my parents advocate that I canceled her aid. So my day turned upside down again. It ended with my drive home from the end of day visit with my father taking 72 minutes. Once home, I could not shake it off. Today is supposed to be a home day. I promised my husband that today and tomorrow I would concentrate on unpacking in our house. Last night I needed Sudafed (I swear my parents have mold in that house), and it took me an hour to find what I needed. I need order to return
11/10 – 130.4 Latest excuse, Chinese food last night. More movement in the wrong direction, but this outcome correlates perfectly with my actions (and inaction). Today is a home/unpacking day. I have also pre-tracked my day. I know this method works, but will I stick to it throughout the day.
11/11 – 129.2 Number improved, but actions only slightly better. Started the day with a tracked day. Was not fully followed. Going to pre-track today again and we’ll see how it goes. Any improved actions are acceptable at the moment. Parents move into their respite care facility tomorrow, so maybe I will be able to focus a little more on my un-packing and eventually get back to how life was before all this “let’s down size” came about in July.
11/12 – 128.8 So tracking was a fail, and dinner was mostly a family size bag of peanut butter M&M’s. But that fitted how the day went with more drama trying to get my parents set up in this care facility today. Seeing a “down” was a nice start to my morning today.

That is direct from the "Outstanding Bugs" page they've been updating. At least they're acknowledging and working on it so hold on! Hope they get it fixed so you feel comfortable staying with us (I, too, own an android but I usually use my Chromebook since they're linked and it's easier for me to type. But that ruins any chance of popping in to say hello while away camping this weekend)

@CamandJarvis, Yes! UGH. This website is brighter on Chromebook than on Android😟 I'll certainly have to dim the screen. It is awfully hard on the eyes. I hope MFP tones it down with a background or background color. I guess I'm asking for too much.

Hello everyone, late joining this group. Joined mfp yesterday and thought I'd give it a try.
Been at this weight for a long time and decided it was time get moving on losing the excess lbs and to getting healthier. Better to do it with like minded people, instead of alone. With the holidays looming in the very near future, now's a good time as any to start this new journey.

11/08: 157.0 - Well, I really need to focus on my eating. I’ve kind of been on autopilot with meals, but these last 4 days I was going back to some bad habits (eating even after I knew I was at the top end of my calories). When I’m not in my usual routine is when I get derailed. That means two things: I need to figure this out for upcoming holidays and travel, and I need to get back on track here at home and not let this short slide turn into a longer one.
11/09: 156.5 - Did my usual Jazzercise workout and normal meals with the exception of the last of the birthday cake.
11/10: 157.6 - Hmmm, too much salt? Too much cake?
11/11: 156.5 - Yesterday was a normal workout and eating. Been hovering around the same 2 pounds since the beginning of the month.
11/12: 155.4 - Finally, it took about a week to get back to where I was in the last round after parties and travel.

11/8 206 Off to a better start
11/9 207.8 We went out for lunch yesterday and I had a cheeseburger with salty fries. I did drink more water than usual and I am hoping that is why there is a big gain. We will see if that is why tomorrow but staying vigilant today. My goal is to be under 200 and into the100’s by end of the year. I need to be better!
11/10 206.4 A lot of work outside with raking the leaves. Also it looks like water retention from Monday’s lunch is gone. Now to have a good day today. Husband is on radiation treatment #12 of 20 and everything at this moment is good. Keeping everything in perspective and positive.
11/11 205.6 I’m finally starting to see some progress. Just need to think hard about how to get through the holiday season. One day at a time I guess.
11/12 205.2 I’m happy with that. I really thought that I would be up a little bit today. When we began this round I thought my end round goal of 204 was a bit high for this time of the year but maybe not. I‘ll be happy to just get close.
