Barbara I don't consistently get over 20,000 steps. Yesterday was an exceptionally good day. My monthly average is around 14,000 steps and I am happy with that.
Kelly, sorry to hear that you are sick. We active people hate that.
With covid popping up everywhere, I feel so much safer staying home and going out only for essentials. I am fortunate to have my lovely neighborhood where I can walk for hours and when I see someone they are on the other side of the street.
It will be a bit warmer today (above freezing) with a bit of rain.

I am so far behind. I got sick on New Year's eve and today is my first day back at work. I still have barley any voice and everyone calling has to tell me that. I did get tested and am neg so just the darn viral stuff. I did a round of steriods and will see what the doctor thinks next.
New year is off and running. I pray all are doing well. The weekend after New Year's DS and family and grandchildren all came down with Covid. Sure glad we did not go over to celebrate the new year with them.
Well I will work on reading up and getting up with everyone. Have a great day!

Interesting article on the pastor of Svalbard Church, where Penny used to live. Lots of photos. I visited the church with her, and sat in those chairs. The church had excellent WiFi, I remember. Penny was in the choir. I bought a calendar from the shop.

I feel like you Barbie. With 35 below wind chill. I am in for the count. I had to set up a room for DrewB to do her business. It is too cold to even take her out for a few minutes. I put down old plastic table cloths that are felt backed and layed towels over these. I also put down some pee pads here and there. It is working out okay but I am ready for it to get warm enough for walks. I play games with her to get her to move and get exercise.3

Did my elliptical and yoga. Yay! I am really enjoying Yoga with Adriene so far. My right shoulder is coming along, and my right knee is a little better too. A lot of yoga puts bodyweight on my arms, and my shoulder can only do so much of that.
It's very cold out today and supposed to be even colder tomorrow. I need to go buy some yogurt tomorrow. Maybe the store will be less crowded.
I cancelled my lunch out today for Covid reasons, and because I have to prep for my zoom book club thingies, and because my diet is going so well I don't need the temptation. I just need those lactose free yogurts.

We had the pleasure of seeing our son and his family in November. We were there in time for Thanksgiving and were able to stay there until early December. We returned home in time to see the annual Christmas Ships Parade in the Columbia River in December. This will be the first day at Yoga class for me in January 2022. I am looking forward to spending time with my yoga friends.

My son in law is a little on edge ,I know how he can get ,they are on there way home now and i just want to meet Miles hold him a few minutes and then I'll scoot.. and let them settle in at home, neither of them have gotten much rest and getting a new baby settled in at home is hard enough without a nosey grandma interfering..
I will get to visit soon enough.. will ask if it might be easier if I pick Carmine up ,bring them to McDonald's and drop them off afterwards to let mom dad and Miles settle in.. its up to them8 -
Im home, the clothes are dry just have to fold them...
The little family got home looking exhausted and the little guy pooped his britches.. so i only held him for a quick minute and said hello and then they got to work changing him Kyle was yelling at Tracy are there any diapers and ahe said Kyle mom has everything set up right here.. glad I had that portacrib with the bassinet and changing table set up and had newborn diapers, wipes and diaper balm all set up
Grandmas know these things..
I took Carmine to McDonald's and she was as cranky and ornery as usual.she dropped her french fries on the floor in the car and the air was laced with some 4 letter words which she gets from her father..
I tried telling her that I know its hard having a new baby in the house especially at her age and of course she barked at me.. but I told hee i was around if she needed me..7 -

The cardiologist was not too happy about the year and a half that it took the VA to send me to him. Apparently, shocking the heart back into rhythm is much more successful when it's done quickly after the arrhythmia starts. He's supposed to call after he gets a few things sorted out with the VA. I feel like I may have finally got the actions going that I need to in order to at least try to get my life back.
Also worried all morning about my best friend, who was in surgery in Montana this morning. She called me at 2 pm, still loopy as a three-toed tree frog, and told me all about it. I laughed 'til I nearly got sick, she was so funny... but I heard her husband say in the background that it all went well. I'll talk to her again tomorrow.
Exhausted,

Lisa - I am happy you have a doctor who is skilled and focussed at patients like you. I am happy that you are finally getting good medical support. ❤️

Lisa-I join the others congratulating you on getting to a doctor who seems well equipped to help you. It is frustrating when they question what the others have done-but docs are human.
Allie-glad Miles is home and settled. Carmine will adjust. It may be good if they are using bottles that he/she can feed Miles-that might help with their bonding.
KJ-sorry you are not feeling well. Please be careful. That is how several of our staff are reporting their symptoms right now of Covid. Of course, there is other stuff going around. Maybe get a test?
Busy day at work today but good. Didn't get out to go to gym. My computer at work (surface tablet) has been horrible with Teams and zoom-crashes, freezes, just horrible. The rest of the staff talks about how wonderful and useful they find it. Evidently the state told my IT Director that some of them are just unstable and they aren't sure why. She imaged a new one for me to see if it works better (I have two video meetings schedule). So since she moved me up her list, I stayed so she could get it to me and I could get things set up.
Did go for a walk after I got home before dinner. It was brisk out-around 24F but I dressed just warmly enough. So I got an hour walk in and got my stretches in. Will try to leave work early tomorrow for some gym time.
Need to go unload dishwasher. I have a bad habit of waiting to see if the dishes will put themselves away. Hasn't happened yet and the cats are no help!
Take care all,
