Hi all, I'm glad I joined this group.
Popcorn in the NE8 -
Did 45 minutes on the stairmaster and then 15 rowing. The plan for tomorrow is to do Karen Voit’s Sleek Essentials DVD
After exercise did my thrift store run. First Brevard Charities (I thought they didn’t open until 10 but saw a car there at 9 so I stopped in. Then the SPCA, I couldn’t believe how many people were there at 9:30, then I saw that the wooden nickel special is everything in the store was ½ off (you buy a wooden nickel for $5, it’s good for all time), dropped off some Lenox to the guy I sold the crystal to because I promised I would, then went to Upscale Resale where anything that had green in it was ½ off.
Then came home and they were installing the storm door. Well….the saga continued. The guy who installed the door installed, not only the wrong molding, the molding by using adhesive so Lowe’s couldn’t take it down since they were afraid (and rightly so) that it might ruin the outside so they put the right molding on top of the wrong molding. Honestly, it looks weird right now. Hopefully, once it’s painted it won’t look bad. The good news is that there was JUST BARELY enough room for the closer so at least that didn’t have to be sawed.
Vince did get the other piece of the threshold up so now from the condo is only about 1/8 of an inch up to the outside
Heather – lovely cape! And it matches the dress so well. You’ll be a hit on the cruise ship, that’s for sure
katla – good idea to stay inside. For those days, can you do a yoga DVD?
Beth – would a local theater be interested in the WWII uniform? Many times they are. I know I recently took a coat/jacket from someone to our local community theater
Vicki – good luck at the doctor’s. So sorry to hear about your cards. What a pain! A lot of times when someone steals your card, they don’t charge a whole lot figuring that you’ll just dismiss or not even notice a small charge. Lots of small charges add up….
Popcorn – I just ordered the microwave bowl to pop popcorn in!!!
This afternoon went in the pool then walked across the street to see if the Pet Supermarket has the Nature's Miracle that I needed (they don't) then to Beal's where I got 2 pairs of sneakers that I like. I could wait and save a few $$ by buying at Hamrick's by me but H never has anything that I like and the ones I like they don't seem to be able to get in my size.
Pot luck tonight.
Michele now in FL reading pip's saga...sure hope they get it figured out2 -
Pip - sending good thoughts!1

Pip: Sending good wishes for a satisfactory outcome. You did the right thing
Annie: Glad the exercise cheered you up. Looking after the Oldsters can be a trial at times.
Heather: You will look fabulous.
Beth: We had similar problems when we moved DMiL into assisted living. It was no bother to store her treasures. I still have some of them. 😂
Welcome to our new girls.
(((Hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 If you need them.

Had a good night last night, no vertigo issues. The Benadryl works!
Texting with eldest son this afternoon. Its 9 am there in Guam. Waking up and chatting with his momma. All seems realigned in my heart.
Heather your sparkly shawl looks marvelous! I would not worry about the 6 lb gain, like you said the dress is stretchy fabric. No worries.💖👍

(((Pip)))— I hope you will find a better medical facility. 9 hours with no good treatment in a long time and not ok. I hope things go better ASAP. Good news that you will be with Kirby. ❤️❤️❤️

Dear Pip - thinking of you! Like the other gals I have been checking in to hear how you were doing... sounds like a circle jerk! I just googled the best hospital in Fresno, CA and of the 3 that came up one is closed and one is a veterinary hospital.... OH MY! If you need to come up to the bay area you and Kirby can stay with me.... Although I would love to meet Yogi, my dog is very other dog aggressive, so Yogi can't stay here.

Thanks for your patience. Finally got discharged, kirby picked me up, went to the pharmacy to get pain meds picked up, got home, made a sandwich to eat, almost 8:30pm. My sis in law had referred the hospital we went to so that’s where we went. ANYWAY, the doctors physician assistant said the CTscan and ultra sound showed that i had a mass in my pelvix area. 17 centimeters, she said it was a large mass. They couldn’t tell if it was on my ovaries by the tests they took and made me an appointment to go see a “gyn-onc” doc. They asked me if i had an obgyn (no).they didn’t know if it was cancerous and asked me if i had any cancer in the family or if i had cancer before. They gave me the choice of transferring to the other hospital or go home w/pain meds and see if i could wait til Wednesday. A gym-onc is short for gynecologist oncology doc. I told them to give me double dose of pain meds and if i can take it, I’ll wait til Wednesday, and if i can’t I’ll go sooner and they will see me sooner. So won’t know anything til i go to the new doc. I’m thinking they will look inside me an may take the mass out and do a biopsy and see if its cancerous or not. There you have it.13

(((Pip)))— You are in my prayers. I hope the new doctor will be excellent and you will have competent medical care. ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

I have a gyn-onc who is really good. He's been helping me through my pre-cancer issues.
I hope you get one that is as good and that he/she is able to help you thoroughly, including explaining what's going on and the steps they need to take.

Got new custom-made mouth guard from my dentist yesterday and wore it last night.
Not bad. It's to keep me from grinding my teeth.
I had tried one from the chemist shop before but did not like it at all. I couldn't get it into my mouth comfortably. But this one fits just nicely.
And it is just for the upper teeth.

Friendly February 2022
25: Thank three people you’re grateful to and tell them why.
26: Make uninterrupted time for your loved ones.
Wind died down and it warmed up to 50 today so was pleasant taking dogs down the drive. Atmospheric river arrives tomorrow, thank goodness. We’re all hoping it will finally break the drought.
Made boiled dinner of corned beef, potatoes, carrots and cabbage. Joe asked “what’s the occasion?” “Nothing. To be honest I’m just trying to empty out the refrigerator in case it has to be repaired or replaced.” “Good plan” he replied. Glad to hear it, some very unusual combinations may be forthcoming
Heather the glittery cape and dress, but really love the happy birthday pic, complete with tiara and serenade.
Kay glad to see you checking in, you’ve been on my mind lately. Sorry about the cream cheese.
Annie hooray for exercise lifting your mood, well done!
Katla know it’s hard to forego yoga but think you made a good choice.
Pip having to wait until Wednesday to see an onc/gyn after 9 hrs in the ER? What a cluster our health care system is. Whooshing prayers and comfort to you and Kirby.
Beth likewise good to see your smiling face, you’ve also been on my mind.
Likewise Margaret and Betsy, good to see you.
Allie prapyers continue for your brother.
Vicki and Debbie a pox on all credit card hackers. Glad you caught those before the amounts were large.
Welcome @ilovepopcorn2016 in NE, me too!
Michele good shoes are always a sound investment.
Terri your kindness to your MIL.
Rebecca hooray for good night with no vertigo. Good Morning texting with eldest and a big bonus. the map and yes Humptulips is a real place, we’ve driven through.
Machka your patio/catio.
Broke down and had cocoa and biscotti tonight. Poor choice. Shoulda tried some SleepyTime and if absolutely necessary one Biscoff. Will pay on the scale tomorrow.
Here’s a pic to cheer pip up. Tummy time???
Lighter, lovelies!

Thank you all for the comments on my outfit for the cruise formals. The dress, which is fabulous, and soooo comfortable, was a loan from my old yoga teacher, because I didn't have anything to wear for that sort of occasion. When my first cruise was over, she said I could keep it, as she was too fat now and never had opportunity to wear it. I did buy her flowers.
The sparkly cape is cheap, cheap, from Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived!
Beautiful day. Still unsure about my ankle for running. I think I'll rest it a bit longer.

Morning, afternoon or evening, all,
Pip - So glad you went to get seen and that they were able to give you something to keep you comfortable until you can be seen by a gyn-oc. Thinking of you while you wait, and hope the outcomes are good and you're back to running miles and miles very soon. I know Kirby and Yogi will take good care of you.
Heather - I live vicariously through you with the sparkly dresses and the cruises. Have no intentions of going, but it's always nice to see how the other half lives!
Vicki/Debbie - The weirdest of the credit card issues was the one where people used my number to pay for a pickup from a Walmart in California of about $90. I called the Walmart where they were picking it up, and told them it was a fraudulent charge. My bank had already told me I wouldn't be liable for it, it was just being a decent human being to call. The answer from them was a shrug, that there wasn't anything they could do about it.
I'm actually sitting in my office chair this morning. When I get up to make my second cup of tea, I'll be moving back to my recliner. The only way to start getting my life back is to take it back--today I've been able to sit here longer than yesterday, and tomorrow will hopefully be longer still. It sounds stupid in a world where fitness is the apparent answer to everything, to simply move from one chair to another, but am past caring.
Speaking of which, I've gained 8 pounds in 12 days. Not because my eating has changed a lot, but (I think) because my body is now actually using the calories I put in it. That's the hope anyway. I've been overeating ever since my appetite came back a year ago just to keep the weight from plummeting down again. Now it's time to find that happy medium again.
I will, no worries, but I'm so damaged mentally about my own weight that I have a hard time not swinging too far and eating so little that my recovery goes off the rails. Like eating an elephant, I'll just have to do it one bite at a time.
Love y'all,
Later,
Lisa6
