Hi ... welcome here!!
In a few days a new March thread will be started for us by Barbie. Be sure to join us there too.0 -
Heather ... when is your cruise, and where?0

Pip Such a surprise! hope this all comes out well. Good luck with the medical system.
Lisa you've been struggling for so long, things are bound to be out of whack. Be kind to yourself as you find your way.
Allie hope your brother is feeling better.
I've been thinking about where I will live next, and concluded that I need to go back to work when my parents leave this house. So I should start training now. I'm considering getting a pharmacy technician certification. There are jobs nearby. It seems like it would be useful, active work and teach me a lot about healthcare. On the other hand, I retired for health reasons and it's scary to go back. Nobody knows what I can do until I try.

Pip- Well. I, for one, have to say I am very glad you are so much in tune with your body. You felt the pain, went to get it checked, and are continuing the journey to make yourself well. I am sending all of the best wishes, vibes, prayers for peace and strength to you (and Kirby and Yogi). You are such a healthy and strong woman, I feel the only way to continue is with the confidence that you will be taken care of and well again, soon. Hugs to you!

Pip, thank you for keeping us in the loop. I hope you get an answer ASAP. I hate that you are dealing with this unknown.2

Did Karen Voit Sleek essentials DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Pilates for Runners DVD
After exercise walked to one food store to see if they have Vince’s crackers. They don’t. I honestly didn’t remember it being so far away. But on the bright side….I got over 9,000 steps in . Came home and changed into a sleeveless shirt. I can’t believe that I’m seeing people wearing long sleeves! I’d be dying. Then got dinner ready. Will go in the pool in a bit. Vince is caulking around the door right now just to be on the safe side. Put two loads of laundry in
pip – I’m so glad they caught that! Let’s hope the pain meds are enough and you can wait until Wed.
Carla – happy birthday
Michele now in FL off to the pool after checking email2 -

Fish and chips tonight. It will be here soon. I will have a few chips and not eat all the batter on the fish. Half a pot of mushy peas.
DH watching England playing rugby against Wales. He will eat in his study from a tray, with a beer.
Last two episodes of the French thriller,The Promise, tonight. I hate not knowing endings, so I've cheated and read spoilers online. Most people not impressed with the ending. That is nearly always the way with detective thrillers, I find. Still, it's good for my French.

Pip prayers for you and for the caretakers who will help you as you heal. I am sorry you are in such pain.
I am starting a course in learning about the art of the Shaman. Many take aways already. One that I particularly like is ever person journey is their own. As I am presented with life and with spirit I alone will decide what the message is for me. If I ask someone else to interpret for me they will filter it through their own lens and experience.
Sometimes it does help to ask. I just need to remember to filter what is said and keep the nuggets that work for me. I also need to learn to throw away what does not work. I watched the movie For the Left Hand last night. It is a true story was about a man who lost the use of his right hand because he was attacked by his father when he was a boy. His name is Norman Malone. He learned to play the piano with his left hand and became a beloved school choir director in Lincoln Park in Chicago and concert pianist. I tell another part of his story. He was playing the organ at a church where he was hired and the minister came out and said a cripple cannot play the organ. He never played the organ again. I related to this story because this is my story too. I stopped believing in myself when I let someones criticism keep me from trying. Sometimes the critic was me.
I also want to thank whatever or whoever gave me guidance. I am not alone in my journey. Quite the contrary. It is like a loved one who sits by my bedside when I am ill. They create a safe space to heal. They help me with just being there so you can lean on their strength as I find my way back to health. I just open my heart and feel the love of those who are sending it.
Patience and letting go of outcome is part of the practice too. Both are skills I need more practice.

Pip ... I know you take life head on with a matter-of-fact attitude. Not sure how you feel about prayer, but you know that I'm all about that ... so also know that I am praying specifically for you and this newest challenge. I'll be praying that whatever the mass turns out to be that it will be addressed completely and that you will heal quickly!

Ive sort of been in a funk
Im keeping up on the bills and all which makes me happy.. but except for going to my daughters and hauling Carmine back and forth to school ,and getting Homer outside..
I basically stay hold up in my condo watching TV and playing on my phone and watching videos.. .. i dont really go out and talk to people or see anyone. Except for Drs appointments..

Happy Birthday 🎂 Carla !!!4 -
We’re having a quiet day so far. There is a nutria at the edge of the river eating grass. We had a nutria years ago and are not happy to see one now. They look like enormous rats. Unlike rats, they seem to be herbivores. We haven’t seen a beaver in a long time. We have seen river otters and enjoy them.3

I'm sorry you're feeling that way, Allie. You must be an extrovert, because my introvert self thinks that you are quite active -- you get together with your friends very often, but it sounds like you really wish it could be every day. Try to hold on to those times when you do get to have social events with your friends. Those are special times.

I'm feeling much better but not quite 100% yet. On the other hand, even knowing that it's all water, it's still encouraging to step on the scales and see a pound down. I have about eight more to lose back to where I was when I stopped because my thyroid was tanked and not cooperating.

Allie ~ I agree with what Flea said and you must be an extrovert like our Michele! I can go a whole week without leaving the house and talking to anyone other than my husband. And, he is no conversationalist...

My sister has nutria at her place in Shedd, OR. She has a gun and shoots them, like a real life Anne Oakley!

I don’t talk about my religious beliefs or politics but please know that I do also believe in prayer and that everything happens for a reason. I am ready for whatever happens and what needs to happen to make me better. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.11 -
Today I’ve been sitting most of the day and I hurt the least when I am just sitting. Right now I have the hiccups and if I was hurting, it would be hurting like a mother!9

Rebecca— We had a nutria here a number of years ago. A neighbor shot it. I haven’t seen him with his gun so far this year.
I am no fan of nutria. :noway: That said, I won’t shoot one.
