    Hello, my dears,

Heather - I'm so pleased you found the daughter of the man you obviously loved, and so sorry that the news on his condition wasn't good. I would have wept too.

In organizing mode this morning, because every other time I've started since Friday has been a bust. I'm just so distractable. Not least because I can be, I guess. No deadlines to adhere to means no progress in completing anything... I am not complaining, don't get me wrong! I am blessed to be in this place for the first time in my life. Even in scattered stretches of unemployment, finding a new job became my job. There was always a goal.

Beth - There's a message in your inbox regarding the medications we were talking about.

Ok, now I'm just procrastinating my organizing chore by being here! <3

    Love y'all,
    Lisa in AR

HEATHER lovely that you dug him up and gave him a smile.

    Busy days. Skimming....

Only 200 c left and it's 14h45... I feel tired which often makes me nibbly....

Staying on track may b challenging.....
    ..

Apparent success in a tiny thing at work. Yay!

    OK....bz

Both of us nap afterwards! I got a lecture about keeping better track of my mom's medicine. I need to learn the names. The Dr asked what she was taking and I didn't really know. I thought he would know because he prescribed it! I can design a better sheet for her to cross off her doses, with the meds for am and pm listed.
Then we can take the sheet with us.

Annie- here in Connecticut we have something called mychart which is wonderful.. it is connected to the hospitals and drs you use.. and i have my medications listed in there so both different hospitals and the berage of drs i see can see what medications I take and and can check in with each other..also my suggestion is make sure your mom or both parents have durable medical power of attorney and that you can find out information if needed.. even my stubborn as all get out dad had me be there for him with that lol

Yes when my sister comes to visit in two weeks we should review all that end of life paperwork. Thanks for the reminder!

Well...the launch has been scrubbed until tomorrow. But…..the good news is that it’s scheduled to go off at 8:30 so I can get back from exercise by then...I’ll just go earlier The plan for tomorrow is to do some HIIT

    suss – welcome

Well, Safelite came – with the wrong windshield. They’re going to shoot to order and install it next Tuesday. Yes, we leave Wednesday. If for some reason they can’t do it, we’ll just have to get it replaced in NC

Took a bit of a walk around the parking lot. Depending on what time we get home, maybe I’ll go again tonight for some

Heather – made me tear up how you were able to find your old lover and what happened.

Need to get ready to meet up with my cousin

Signed up for the pot luck on Friday. Wish I’d brought enough for 2 of the spinach feta pies, but Mary Lou said that not a lot of people were going so I only brought enough for one pie and I really can’t see buying the ingredients to have to take them home.

Vicki— I have been taking Alondrate Sodium 70 mg TAB for bone density for several years, at the recommendation of my doctor after I had tripped and fallen. I damaged my forehead the first time I fell. I damaged my left knee the second time I tripped & fell. I did not break a bone either time. I have been taking one tablet by mouth each week. It works very well for me. There is also a daily version of this medicine. I prefer the once a week version. In your place, I would discuss it with the doctor.

Picked up Bea, carrying all the presents and cards for her and her mums birthday while we are away
When we got back to her house she insisted on opening one, so I chose her monkey t shirt. She LOVES it, despite her weird expression 😆.

The monkey was her comforter when she was a baby and she has loads of them.

Years ago, the whole family used to go and stay at my old lover/friend's house in the Lake District, so my son remembers those holidays very well and my friend. Good memories of beach, sand dunes, lakes and mountains. He was around 9 or10.

Michele! That's wonderful news. Congrats to Jess.

Good luck, Pip! Such great news!

Yes we are, Barbara! Thanks. We love to be together. We just usually have lots of noise and other things going on around us. Who knew that we could still just sit and talk, in the quiet darkness?!?

So sorry, Katla. Sending healing vibes to DH.

Carla, still in MN (but no new snow here)

Beth--I don't understand if it is his ear, why they couldn't take care of it while he was in the wheelchair. Some doctors just piss me off.

Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE where they are calling for up to 10 inches of snow the next couple days. <3

Vicki ... this was our question too, since they took biopsies from his ear while in the wheelchair. I don't think they want to treat a 93 year old man who is deteriorating ... but that's another story.

Had lunch with my cousin. Just had water to drink and a salmon sandwich but I had it on a tortilla instead. It had tomato, lettuce and onion on it. For my side I had steamed zucchini and squash. The bad part was that they had this thing on the menu called a "blueberry hush puppy". I'd never heard of that before. Basically, it's a hushpuppy (ie deep fried) but using a blueberry muffin type mix. Oh well......

Debbie ~ I am wondering if the garden project has gotten to be too much for your mom! I know you love it, but, it seems like she may have lost heart for it since your Father passed. If so, I hope that she doesn't have to depend on it just for the money it brings in. Please don't take offense. Just a thought on my part.

Allie ~ Fingers crossed that your daughter will be able to find something to do at home. What kind of work does she do for the Vet? I did stay home for 3 mos. after my son was born but without pay. When I came back to my job, the pay was the same but I had been replaced in my position to one I did not like.

Pip ~ Continued wishes for your complete healing.

Got my garbage bill today and it had gone up another $10. $100 in all for 3 mos. And, we forget to put the can out a lot of the time. Everything has gone up and a lot was due to the increase in gas prices.

Still trying to catch up- Spent two hours in the dentist chair plus I have a cold or allergies- kept having coughing attacks while he was trying to do the filling and fit the crown.
Great way to start my birthday. If I didn't have my daycare girl today, I would be curled up in bed with a hot cup of tea-just took some cold meds.

Carol. I think mom really wants the garden but is just overwhelmed. There are never ending weeds all around(she has 3 1/2 acres but gardens one acre). She said there are some guys going to come down and help this week. She wants to do everything but is just tires a lot quicker. She has said we are planting a lot less.
She does the garden just for herself and friends now. It used to be for income until 2 yrs ago when Covid shut the restaurants down- she had 4 -5 that were buying fresh veggies.

Pip- amazing- glad you were able to go home

    Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Pip — Your todo list was remarkable. Your “other” list is a bit on the heavier work side. I imagine that Kirby took that on to make things the way you like them. 😊

Happy birthday to all the birthday ladies this month!!

Today we drove to the mainland, husband needed to go to Office Max for some printing, had lunch at a brewery in Mt Vernon and drove to a Fred Meyers nearby. I found my cavatappi noodles I have wanted to try, and some red ale I like. It was a fun day. I had blackened cod tacos with avocado slices and coleslaw, and a nice raspberry pilzner beer. We walked by the river afterwards. It was in the 50's and sunny! Spent way too much money, but ah well.💖

:)Annie I made a list of my meds my husband's meds including over the counter meds and keep in my wallet so I can refer to it as needed. My husband keeps a list in his allet in case he goes to the doctor without me. For taking meds at home. I prepared snack size ziplock bags with labels like Mon. Barbie AM and I fill bags regularly so we know whether we have taken our meds.

Of course the doctor should already know what meds the patient has taken, but having a list in my wallet is helpful
