Barbara — I have a different doctor than DH. Both men are in the clinic here in our town some days. Mine works here some days and also in NW Portland other days. Both DH & I had a wonderful woman doctor. She decided to be a stay at home mom with her teenage daughters.

Another fabulous spring day. I went for my 5k run after breakfast and it was already warm. Came home via the butcher and bought their wonderful 'artisan' scotch eggs and pork pie. Yummo!
Did an extra 25 mins on the rower when I got in to make up the 600 calories morning goal.

For those of you who like Sounds, Desert Island Discs this morning was Alan Cummings, which some of you may remember, is my brother's wife's sister's ex-husband's brother. The ex-husband, Tom, mentioned in the programme, used to be our painter and decorator when we first moved to our last house as he couldn't find work at that time as an architect. My brother and DSIL (currently with covid) are close to Alan, go to first nights and stay in his apartment in NY. Anyway, it's a good listen, especially for those who had a hard time as children. Lisa - you could listen while you declutter. <3

Then I wrote my morning allotment of words. A good day. :po:)

Zoom this afternoon with my old schoolfriends. G has just got back from visiting B in Glasgow. I'm not sure they told my difficult friend about it in advance, but I hope they will come clean this afternoon. :* Otherwise it's a bit awkward.
    Must wash my hair now.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

When do you and your daughter see your Dr?

Hi there all. I am new here so I hope I am doing this right. Anyway, my name is Suss, I'm 57 and disabled after a long term CO leak. I have struggled with eating habits and eating disorders my whole life. I am advised by doctor to not vaccinate since I have had anaphylaxis to medications many times. And so I still have to isolate and my gosh have I grown. I have not dared to weigh myself for a while.

I tried Noom but it didn't work for me. The articles were good but you could not see what was in your food in the end of the day. My diabetes doctor say I cannot loose weight since I take so much insulin. But I have decided I absolutely have to get in better shape. And I believe that if you just work hard enough on it, you can overcome the impossible.

I look forward to get to know you all. It was a bit of a challenge to find the way in this discussion jungle so I really hope to find my way back again.

Have you been able to find your way back yet? :)

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Kobi, and after a long hiatus I'm back on My Fitness Pal.

On my 55th birthday I decided that I don't want to live the rest of my life obese. I have lost 50 pds so far, I went off track for awhile and have cleared my head so I'm back to it.

Please feel free to friend me :)

    Welcome here!

I'm also 55. I lost a lot of weight when I was 48/49 but it seems to have found me again so I'm working on it with increased activity. :)

Hi - I'm a 65 yo woman who's trying to navigate MFP after using Spark People. Just looking for a place to go for insight and support! I have 80-90 pounds to lose. I lost 10 in November/December but then gained them back over the holidays and on my vacation - now I'm trying again (I always keep trying :) and I've lost 4. It seems so much harder at this age! Am I too old for this group?

Not too old at all ... welcome here!

Thank you for the welcome! I've just been reading the group posts and it seems very friendly. ❤

So yesterday, I had an attitude adjustment about tracking my food. I think in the past I've thought of it as a boss. A very demanding boss. And I'm not sure how I got to that idea. But I'm being intentional today, about seeing tracking as a tool, a very specific tool, like needle nose pliers, or better yet, pinking shears (I sew, and that tool is indispensable). Yeah. Using the right tool makes doing a project *so* much easier!

That's a very good way of thinking about it. :)

    Hi All!

I need to cut back on the winter carbs, up the fruits and vegetables, and take some hikes and long bicycle rides. I do live on a small farm so there's no end to gardening and other calorie-burning work.

I admit I've only skimmed over the posts on here. You seem to have become friendly with each other. Do you have a way of checking in with other when it comes to nutrition, exercise, etc.?

    Thanks so much!

    Luanne

We do post about our exercise ... and a bit about nutrition. :)

Tell us about your bicycle rides. I'm a cyclist too.
