Heading for bed- Dh is already asleep- his alarm will be going off in 1 1/2 hrs- hope to be asleep before that, or I will be awake until he leaves at 1AM

I think I'd be tempted to sleep in separate rooms.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter, Passover etc break.

Granddaughter flies back to Oxford tomorrow. We are hoping to go over with daughter for her graduation in early summer. we’ve never visited Oxford, so we will make it a mini vacation.

My food choices over the holiday weren’t brilliant, (too much chocolate 🤦‍♀️) but still under maintenance overall. Looking forward to an outing my daughters are planning on Wednesday for my birthday. I will be sensible(ish) until then 😝

I have already done my Morning Meditation and a walking workout. I am planning some garden work, and sorting through my summer clothes before I swap my wardrobe over.

    🥳🎉 Cheers to those celebrating.
Virtual (((hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.
🙋‍♀️ Miele failte to the newbies.

Lisa, I see one of those cookbooks on Amazon for less than $10 from a third party seller with a decent customer rating:

Karen VA - Snagged it, thank you! Just didn't keep trying long enough... Yet one more reason why I love this thread. SOMEbody always knows....

Okay, dough is shaped and rising for final proof, 3rd load of laundry ready to start in the washer, dishwasher nearly done with the bread dishes...

I do love this life and feel so grateful to be living it. There were a few dark moments across the winter, but with much support from friends, I feel I've found my way back into the spring sunshine. I think it's possible I may have been struggling a bit with Seasonal Affective Disorder - I might ask for a sunlight lamp for Christmas this year. I'll be outside plenty here in the spring and summer, so won't need it 'til fall or winter. I know there are a few of you who use them - any recommendations?

That said, one of the things I'm finding completely changed about my own life is that I genuinely love just being home. Considering my all-or-nothing track record, it's possible that I will only love being a hermit for a while, and will get bored with it. These days where I don't leave the house or my yard at all are my favorites right now, though, and I plan on enjoying them to the fullest.

I swear, though, I'm going to have to stop telling my husband. I asked him if he wanted to go pick up groceries with me, and with the saddest look I have ever seen on his face, he said "Well, I am really enjoying the time I'm spending here in the house since I see so little of it during the week, but if you really want me to go..." so of course I told him to stay home. Such a goober.

Chores they are a calling... and I need to design a chicken tractor. It's a thing!

    Later, y'all,
    Love,
    Lisa in AR

I suffer from SAD and have done for years. The end of DST really bothers me because I spend so much time in darkness till DST starts again.

In the old days, I used to go to a tanning salon regularly and use the tanning beds. That put me in a much better mood. But I can't do that anymore.

So I take a midwinter holiday. I don't even have to go anywhere. I just need to have the time to see daylight for several hours, preferably outside but through a window will work too.

I'm in the midst of 11 days off now ... in the first month of the great darkness and it is lovely to see daylight every day.

I've got some plans for June too.

Sorry nothing about lamps...just encouraging you to get as much day light as possible. :)

Ginny - How lovely to see you and be able to put a face to a name! <3
    Some family resemblance there. :)
Socialising is great, but soooo exhausting! Rest and recover.

I had a long chat with L this afternoon. She's very up and down, but getting back out into the world.

Made a big pot of tomato sauce in the IP, ready for Putanesca, and some to freeze.

Lisa - I too love my life. I just love my routines and rituals, my homebody existence. Many days I don't set foot outside the house and I'm very happy. I spend most of my time lying on my bed. :D<3 From here my imagination travels everywhere. B) I do my writing, my languages, my inspiring books, podcasts and videos on my bed. I talk on the telephone and do very occasional Zoom calls. I post on Instagram. I go into the next room to exercise. I nap. I go downstairs to eat with DH and to watch TV in the evening. Bliss! I need lots of those days and get very stressed when I have to be too much in the world. The world can only have me in small doses. :p I can't wait to run back home to my bed and all my self-nurturing activities. I love being in my thoughts and expressing them in writing.

Love to all, Heather UK, from her bed. Xxxxxxxx
