    Hello everybody!
    My goal is to weigh in daily and maintain this month, I have some nerve-wracking medical procedures coming up this month and I’ve decided to just maintain for my sanity.

    SW: 250
    UGW: under 150
    11/1 W: 204.6
    11/30 GW: 204

    11/1: 204.6
    11/2: DNW
    11/3: 204.6

    I guess I could get an award for consistency!

    Ate my feelings last night. Big scary appointment today but will get some answers (hopefully.)

    I learned yesterday my cancer is 100% curable! 😃 I will need to have surgery and radiation and possibly chemo, which I know won’t be a walk in the park but overall the news I got yesterday was good!

    Yesterday was the first time since my diagnosis that I was able to work a full day without a nap or an anxiety attack. It felt good!

    My emotions are like a rollercoaster. I had some new lumps I found looked at yesterday and am getting them biopsied today. I was pretty down last night. I think the lumps are likely nothing, I’m just getting tired of being poked and prodded and this is only the beginning! Gotta dig deep and find some new strength.

    Ugh, all swollen up. In some pain. About four hours of work to do today then I am doing something for me! Let’s make it self care Friday if we can! ✨

    Yuck. I think maybe I did too much yesterday after the procedure Thursday, I’m all swollen up. I had plans to do more today. I guess I have to take it easy but there’s so much to do!

    I got a lot done yesterday and also took some time for me. I got some vegan chocolate in a gift box and I tried it, not for me! I think it was made with coconut milk and some sort of bean.

    Did some emotional eating yesterday. I feel pretty meh about it today.

    11/22-198.6-(Trend Weight 198.7)- This is my bloat day w/o medication yesterday so I’m actually very pleased that my overnight weight stayed the same. That may signal progress. The Good Lord knows I’ve been working hard trying to pull this kitchen back together before Thanksgiving. So many boxes to unpack! So many stored dishes and cookware to rewash! Etc. etc. Lots of movement and calorie burn. No problem getting steps in. Our holiday dinner will be on Saturday. Plenty of work until then! This is going to be a tough foody week for so many. Let’s just do the best we can and remain Thankful for all our blessings. I’m pleased to see the progress of so many of you in so many ways. Even with the American Thanksgiving Holiday ahead of us, I hope we can end this month with progress and pride!


    11/23-196.6-(Trend Weight 198.5)- Yay!!! I attribute this first and foremost to releasing the water after my medication. This would be my true weight! In addition, my diet has been about the same the last couple of days but my activity has increased at least 100%. Getting the new kitchen ready for Thanksgiving dinner Saturday has been a lot of work and calorie burn. I’m not quite done yet! I finally heard from cardiac rehab. I start on Dec 9th. 2x per week for 12 weeks which involves a lot of travel. That is never good but I will form new habits surrounding this so it minimizes the damage. And medically supervised rehab will safely help create a bigger calorie burn. I’m excited for all the advantages it holds for me. I’m tired of not being allowed to do anything including taking walks!

    I hope all who celebrate will enjoy your Thanksgiving tomorrow. I hope you can spend time with family and friends during this time. I am thankful to be alive and to have family and friends who love me.

    11/24-198.0-(Trend Weight 198.5)- This is my bloat day so weight increase expected. Today will be a quiet dinner at home. Since I am watching my girly figure I opted not to go out of town for an extra Thanksgiving dinner (family dinner is Saturday). Once is enough calories and pie, right? Luckily my son agreed. He is on a mission to drop a few pounds since he stood up in his friend’s wedding. His resolve is much better than mine I have found. Wow! Enjoy your day, ya’ll. I wish I could pop in and see each and every one of you!

    This thread is getting pretty quiet….not that I don’t love seeing your posts Donna, @deepwoodslady but I know there are many other threads with the same idea. I’ll see how this one goes until the end of the month then if it’s still pretty quiet, I won’t post a December one. Unless someone really wants me to, I can no problem!

    11/25-196.2-(Trend Weight 198.2)- I am so happy with the scale today!!! Of course, I have not had Thanksgiving dinner yet (tomorrow) but my non-bloat weight just keeps getting a little better! No TMI yet either, but I did get a great amount of sleep last night (for me). No deep sleep according to fitbit but a good amount of REM and light sleep with less awakes. I am still very solidly in the obese category of my BMI at 32.2. I can’t wait to hit the overweight category. That will take awhile but it’s something to strive for. I got in very little calorie burn yesterday but I did get on the exercise bike for about 20 minutes. I’m still working on cleaning up house, drywall dust, unpacking boxes etc. but got in less calorie burn than I thought. I stopped early last night, though, for a movie night with my son. I made a nice healthy dinner for us both, then our only snack was a piece of sugar-free Russell Stovers chocolate. My son is dropping the weight and loving it. He is trying harder than I’ve seen in the past. His autism makes food choices more difficult, but he’s really giving it a go! I thought I would really have to keep him on track, but it may turn out to be the other way around! So proud…..

    Nov 5: 168.6 (Had a busy week, ups and downs, very little exercise, snow has set in, not overeating like crazy but not happy with my lack of accountability to my habits. Focusing as best I can on the positives.)
    Nov 6: 169.4 (Got a refreshing sleep, started my day with the Peloton and a healthy breakfast, feeling good today.)
    Nov 7: 167.8 (I went back and looked and the last time I weighed less than I did this morning was Sep 8. This feels like a critical time for me to move forward back to maintenance. Trying to make good choices.)
    Nov 8: 168.4 (Got my Peloton ride in last night and ate well. Things are on track. Today is very cold and I am commuting in to the office.)

    Week 1 weight loss: 1.6

    Nov 9: 167
    Nov 10: 168.6
    Nov 11: 169.4 (Currently on our way to Banff to do our first winter hike of the season. It's a good one - looking forward to the exercise.)
    Nov 12: 169.8 (Today we went to a nearby city to run some errands. Want to climb on the Peloton when I get home.)
    Nov 13: 168.2 (Started my day with a walk with a friend. Watching football here shortly. My husband is making pork ribs for supper. Need to get on the exercise bike.)
    Nov 14: 169.6 (Didn't get on the bike last night as planned. Got into a Sunday blues funk. I made up for it after work tonight. Feel good with how my day went.)
    Nov 15: 169.4 (Kept it simple today. Got my 10K steps. Ate well. Got crap done. Alcohol free. Hopefully I sleep better tonight than I did last night!)

    Week 2 weight gain: 1

    Nov 16: 169.4
    Nov 17: 169.6
    Nov 18: 171.2 (Had a tough day yesterday and ended it with a binge. Of course, that didn't help anything. Getting my mind back on track today. Unfortunately I am having some middle of the night insomnia where I wake up and start worrying so I need to resolve that.)
    Nov 19: 170.4
    Nov 20: 172.4 (Not pleased to be where I am but I sunk into a funk that took me a couple of days to get out of. On the plus side, got great Peloton workouts in yesterday and today. Time to move forward.)
    Nov 21: 174 (Ate off the rails again yesterday. Today was much better - on track, long workout.)
    Nov 22: 175.4

    Week 3 weight gain: 6

    Nov 23: 173.6
    Nov 24: 170.6
    Nov 25: 171 (On my way back down. Not American but my husband stayed home for football and cooked us a turkey dinner anyway. Glad the weekend is here after a busy week!)

    11/25-196.2-(Trend Weight 198.2)- I am so happy with the scale today!!! Of course, I have not had Thanksgiving dinner yet (tomorrow) but my non-bloat weight just keeps getting a little better! No TMI yet either, but I did get a great amount of sleep last night (for me). No deep sleep according to fitbit but a good amount of REM and light sleep with less awakes. I am still very solidly in the obese category of my BMI at 32.2. I can’t wait to hit the overweight category. That will take awhile but it’s something to strive for. I got in very little calorie burn yesterday but I did get on the exercise bike for about 20 minutes. I’m still working on cleaning up house, drywall dust, unpacking boxes etc. but got in less calorie burn than I thought. I stopped early last night, though, for a movie night with my son. I made a nice healthy dinner for us both, then our only snack was a piece of sugar-free Russell Stovers chocolate. My son is dropping the weight and loving it. He is trying harder than I’ve seen in the past. His autism makes food choices more difficult, but he’s really giving it a go! I thought I would really have to keep him on track, but it may turn out to be the other way around! So proud…..

    11/26-196.6-(Trend Weight 198.1)- I’m very pleased with this weight today as I go into Turkey Day for my family. Yesterday was a lot of baking. I always seem to show a gain if I eat all 3 meals and yesterday I did eat 3, even though they were all “diet” and within plan. I think the slight gain is mainly from the one cupcake I gave into and all the spoon licking, as well as incorporating lunch (about 350 calories). Today will be very tempting. Tomorrow will likely show a gain but I will try to watch portion sizes (even if I’m over calorie because of all the choices.) Because it’s not a “diet”, it’s a lifestyle, today is a great day to practice eating with good judgment, staying attuned to my hunger cues, and eat smaller amounts at a time. It’s also okay if the pies and desserts wait a couple of hours after dinner. What the heck is the hurry?

    Nov 5: 168.6 (Had a busy week, ups and downs, very little exercise, snow has set in, not overeating like crazy but not happy with my lack of accountability to my habits. Focusing as best I can on the positives.)
    Nov 6: 169.4 (Got a refreshing sleep, started my day with the Peloton and a healthy breakfast, feeling good today.)
    Nov 7: 167.8 (I went back and looked and the last time I weighed less than I did this morning was Sep 8. This feels like a critical time for me to move forward back to maintenance. Trying to make good choices.)
    Nov 8: 168.4 (Got my Peloton ride in last night and ate well. Things are on track. Today is very cold and I am commuting in to the office.)

    Week 1 weight loss: 1.6

    Nov 11: 169.4 (Currently on our way to Banff to do our first winter hike of the season. It's a good one - looking forward to the exercise.)
    Nov 12: 169.8 (Today we went to a nearby city to run some errands. Want to climb on the Peloton when I get home.)
    Nov 13: 168.2 (Started my day with a walk with a friend. Watching football here shortly. My husband is making pork ribs for supper. Need to get on the exercise bike.)
    Nov 14: 169.6 (Didn't get on the bike last night as planned. Got into a Sunday blues funk. I made up for it after work tonight. Feel good with how my day went.)
    Nov 15: 169.4 (Kept it simple today. Got my 10K steps. Ate well. Got crap done. Alcohol free. Hopefully I sleep better tonight than I did last night!)

    Nov 18: 171.2 (Had a tough day yesterday and ended it with a binge. Of course, that didn't help anything. Getting my mind back on track today. Unfortunately I am having some middle of the night insomnia where I wake up and start worrying so I need to resolve that.)

    Nov 20: 172.4 (Not pleased to be where I am but I sunk into a funk that took me a couple of days to get out of. On the plus side, got great Peloton workouts in yesterday and today. Time to move forward.)

    My emotions are like a rollercoaster. I had some new lumps I found looked at yesterday and am getting them biopsied today. I was pretty down last night. I think the lumps are likely nothing, I’m just getting tired of being poked and prodded and this is only the beginning! Gotta dig deep and find some new strength.

    11/27-197.6-(Trend Weight 198.0)- Only one pound gained after my Thanksgiving feast yesterday. I’ll take it! It makes me feel very firmly planted in Onederland but I need to stop typing my weight in blue and go back to pink. Winter is when I gain all my weight and I am NOT GOING TO LET IT HAPPEN THIS YEAR.

    I'm not sure the last day I tracked, I think Wednesday. Anyway, Thanksgiving was Thanksgiving! I forgot to weigh in today (Sunday) too but I will track and it's back to business tomorrow.

    About the fate of this thread, I like this group, but would appreciate more activity too.

    I wish mfp had a format where you can follow based on hashtags and comment on a post more easily.
