@tpt1950 Great! Nice to meet you! It's very motivating to have new equipment. I want one too. So I can watch TV and use it.2

I'm back for another try. Fell off wagon for few months, and regained those hard lost 5lbs. Currently I'm on day 11 of tracking with no real loss yet.
However I'm proud of getting back on wagon much sooner than before; it would be ideal to close those off wagon gaps to very small.
My goal would be to lose only 10lbs for now. I'm within last 15lbs+/- of goal weight so it's tougher.8 -
I am a 5'3" 61 year old retiree living in upstate NY.
I started tracking again with MFP on January 3rd 2022 and have lost 54.6 lbs to date.
January 3: 230
March 7: 216.6
June 3: 196.4
Sept 2: 182.8
Oct 28: 175.4
This is my 4th consecutive round of this challenge and I'm looking forward to staying on track through the holidays. I didn't quite make my 15 pound goal last round since my rate of loss has slowed down quite a bit. I thought about going on maintenance for a couple months, through the holidays, then starting back up in January but decided to stick with it and hopefully lose a few more pounds instead.
Thank you @RubyRed427 for continuing this challenge!
My goal for this round will be 10 pounds. My usual weigh in day is Friday.
My ultimate goal weight is 135 pounds. My goal was 140 but at my annual physical I learned that I have shrunk by a quarter inch, so I can no longer round up to call myself 5'4” .
Good luck to all on this round. I wish you all the greatest success!
Challenge Goal: 10 lbs (165.4)

Yes!! That is the plan. I have the spot all picked out and have already downloaded lots of virtual tours all over the world to use when I am not watching TV while on it!!3 -
Hi Everyone - nice to meet you and I look forward to working this challenge along with all of you.

Hi .. I'm gonna jump on this band wagon also. I haven't wanted to commit to a challenge because I felt like I didn't really fit in, what with my age and physical condition ... but then ... if I don't try I won't ever know if I can do it ... so try I intend to do.
There is an exercise room 3 floors down in my senior living apartment building that has several handy pieces of equipment as well as weights that I can use. While my physical status does not clear me to use all of them, I can benefit from some of them. Not that I expect or depend on using exercise to cause weight loss. What I am looking for is to gain some additional energy. strength and stamina from being more active than I currently am. The weight loss, for me, has always been a matter of calorie restriction.
I am 77 years old, a 5'3" woman who has been overweight or obese for generations .. nearly half my life!. I've been slowly losing weight, very slowly ... and found myself maintaining instead of losing the past couple of years. Time to take a reboot on that!
My goal is to lose 10 pounds by 1/31/23
My weigh in day for this challenge will be Tuesday ... starting on Nov 1.
I call myself Niki

I need to lose the 10-15 lbs that I lost and since regained. I have a timeframe I'm aiming for (mid-late Jan beach vacation). I can do this; I just don't seem to have the drive I did the first time around. I think I may chime in every day. I exercise ~6 days/wk; I struggle with the lower calories.6

Welcome to the new friends and our faithful friends. This challenge is pretty simple- set your goal, try to participate by posting once in awhile- some people like to post their progress once a week. It's all up to you.
@nsk1951 It's great to have you here!! Your age is just a number. We are all just trying to improve our health, so you fit in nicely.4 -

Great idea! Chime in often- stay focused.2 -
@GinLee61 Great to see you again! You are a motivating force for me!3

Yes, you are right it is tougher when there's less to lose. So happy you're here!5 -
Hello everyone!
Thanks for starting this challenge, @RubyRed427! I would love to join!
This is great timing for me also! My last weigh-in was 151.6 on 10/27. Another 15 lbs. down would put me within my weight-range goal. The extra support in this challenging season would be very helpful I'm sure!
I'm 64 years old, 5'3" in height living in the Boston area of Massachusetts and I work in Cambridge for Mass General Brigham Personalized Medicine.
It's tough to lose weight when you live alone and "no one is watching you", LOL; so I'm IN!
I just tested positive for COVID this past Thursday, but I'm not going to let that stop me. (I'm steadily improving, day-by-day.) I was supposed to get the Omicron booster on 11/2, but I guess I won't be doing that!
I have bookmarked this group so I can participate regularly. I will read the posts and watch for guidelines.
Cheers and best wishes to all!
❤️Carole

I lost 17.8 pounds in our last challenge so I’m here to do it again. 💪 I‘ll weigh tomorrow morning for my starting weight.5 -
Thank you. I lost 2.6 lbs in the last three month challenge — which is better than gaining!5

I have to exercise that much too to keep calories low!! I find my hunger level doesn't depend on my exercise level, I tend to want about 2000 calories a day no matter how active I am. So off to gym I go.
I had small accident Friday that makes running painful, been on elliptical instead, but it's slowing down my efforts.
My beach vacation is next week, no losses yet for 2.5 week effort. I'd be happy with just not feeling/looking bloated7 -
I need to work at this challenge. I'm from MN, age 75, have struggled with my weight for too many years. I need to kick myself in the butt and get going to a new year approaching. I will weigh in thursday mornings.4

Lost 17 pounds in the last round, but the scale hasn't budged for 4 weeks now. I'm eating at a deficit and I'm still sore from lifting last week, so it's gotta move soon, right?11

Lost 7 pounds in the August through October challenge. I am 890 days into tracking every day, and I have 5 lbs to go to my goal. I want to hit that goal in these next three months. If I lose 15 pounds, I will weigh what I weighed on my wedding day, but will be happy with a loss of 5 to 15 pounds in this hardest-for-me-to-lose portion of the scale.8
