    April total: 52.5/115 miles

    4/1: 6 miles
    4/3: 4 miles
    4/5: 5.1 miles
    4/6: 3.1 miles
    4/8: 8 miles
    4/9: 4.1 miles
    4/11: 3.1 miles
    4/13: 3.1 miles
    4/14: 10 miles
    4/15: 6 miles

Like several others here, it was a hot one this morning and sooo humid. But we have a little cold front blowing through following a storm so the next couple of mornings should be pretty nice.
My MIL and I went to an art festival after my run. Saw some really interesting styles and beautiful photography.

@katharmonic - I am pretty sure Hobbes would love to have a water boy to come along on our walks and runs 😂

It's causing some problems for the wedding

He really should have rescheduled, it's the couple's big day afterall.

Congratulations! That seems like a beautiful spot for a wedding, hope it all went off without a hitch.

Thanks everyone for the advice. It is greatly appreciated.

@Scott6255 I hope the shoes work out for you. Half price is great. Shoe porn?

Beautiful flowers @martaindale ! No wonder you enjoy the hill country so much.

Those are some great walks @katharmonic . Thanks for the links. I'll check them out when I have a little more time. Just trying to catch up now. You are doing so good with your recovery. I would not like the snakes being everywhere. What kind are they? Tippy would bark, but as far as I know, she has never caught one. Yeah for getting out the other drain tubes! I know you must feel so much better. Also, yeah for the new bras, shirt, and car!

@Laurz9191 It's great that you get in running while your son is at soccer practice. Great use of your time.

@chris_in_cal Great running. I hope your sunburn isn't too bad!

I haven't posted in a couple of days due to internet issues, again, and just being busy. I have kept up the running and walking. I played league tennis on Tuesday night and my partner and I won! We were excited.

This morning, I got up and did a short treadmill run before heading out for my follow up cardiology appointment. I walked 1 mile total for warm up and cool down and ran 1.5 miles in 17:10 min for an average pace of 11:21 min/mile. I did a run walk at 5.5/3.8 mph for 7/1/4/1/4:01 min. My Avg HR was 133 with a max of 149.

The cardiologist said, "Everything looks great. Keep running. Come back next year."

    Congratulations for the match! 👏

For the non-west coast people, we are moving into the coldest part of the year here.

    "What?" you may say.

Yes, people from other states come to vacation in California in May and June, and only bring bathing suits, tee-shirts, etc. They shiver and suffer. Most Spring mornings near the coast stay in the 50s or low 60s until about noon, when the fog burns off.

Those hot summer nights? Not here, it drops when the sun goes down and the fog rolls in.

Coming to California for vacation in June? Bring some layers, and a hat or two.
    :sunglasses:

May gray, and June gloom, has started. It was cold and foggy at the lake this morning.

Yep and also some of the best weather for running!

I know you all know that Boston is tomorrow but I didn't know that Eliud Kipchoge is running it for the first time! I am pretty excited to watch him and all the runners. This is a fun article from the NYT about Kipchoge
I have gifted it so you should be able to access without hitting a paywall.

Beautiful pictures @shanaber. Love your running and improvement.

@chris_in_cal You are doing great with your running. Taking it nice and easy and not trying for too much too fast. You'll be ready for that 10K by Sept. I identify with your comment about your weather in California. I went to San Francisco in August, expecting it to be warm. We all froze and bought sweat shirts. I was really surprised.

I understand why your 10 miles was a struggle @Scott6255 . You did great to complete it.

Yes, it was me @katharmonic . Glad they were the harmless snakes, but, like you, they startle me. You did great on the walk and I laughed at Stella expecting a water boy from now on.

Great run @martaindale . Glad you enjoyed the art show.

    Great running @SummerSkier .

You are doing great @mustb60 . And thanks for the congrats.

Great run @kgirlhart . Sounds like the loose dog was a blessing in disguise. I have done the same thing with my watch and it is REALLY annoying, so I feel your pain.

Thanks for the Eliud Kipchoge article @shanaber! I've seen videos of that big treadmill before and people trying to run at his 4:37/mi pace. It's pretty funny...but I'd like to try it 😜
