    Welcome Sarah from NZ! :D

    Went for my run. Lovely.
Picked up a few groceries on the way back, plus a chicken to poach in the IP for Easter with the family. I'm doing a buffet lunch. DH will be organising the Easter Egg Hunt. I've ordered the mugs to paint for the kids' present and I've just found some gorgeous paper table decorations to put on our plates for lunch as place markers. I was keen to avoid plastic as DDIL (and me) are keen conservationists.

A fox sat on our front garden plants last night and crushed all the hyacinths and daffodils. Boo! :# It also left a present the night before on our door mat. The area is teeming with them.

I've been enjoying listening to a good podcast about sex and the importance of communication. Enjoying putting 'communication ' into practice. :p I'm going to listen to a few more.

Mary I put all my ingredients into the crockpot at the start. Once you start cooking it is best not to take the cover off.

Lisa ... I had to think about your comment on my perceived "failure" to reach my March goals. The rational part of my brain knows that any weight loss should be considered a success. And that's what I really try to focus on. But there's a part of me ... regardless of practicality or reality, Machka, that wants things to be easy and quick. Those 7 pounds came on fast, I wanted them to leave just as quickly. I've since settled in to accepting that they will be slow to lose. Thank you, both, for your input.

I hear you! I gained weight in the first couple of weeks of March while we were on holiday. Some of it has come off which is great but I wish the whole lot would disappear!

It's scary how easy it is to put on weight!

My BP is ALL over the place! This morning it was 91/61. Now at doctor's 144/72. This is crazy! Waiting on Dr now.

Mine usually sits around your higher BP when I'm relaxed these days. Actually, it's usually about 145/85. Fortunately, 2 or 3 GPs have told me that's normal. :)

    When I'm stressed/upset, it soars!

In the pre-accident days, it was your lower number.

Oh also, look up White Coat Syndrome while you wait for the doctor. It is very normal to have a higher BP at the doctor's than at home. That's why they send you home and get you to record your BP at home twice a day for a couple weeks.

    Good morning, Ladies

Welcome Sarah....I'm sure you will enjoy the group.

Machka, what a lovely place to walk.

Off for a mammo this morning and will pick up a few items to add to my Easter dinner. Just need a few fresh veggies for my veggie tray and also some raspberries. The two younger grandchildren love raspberries and always ask for them when visiting so try to make sure I have some on hand.

Yesterday was a very, very nice day. I stayed up way too late with DH watching old Westerns. This morning brought rain, and I’m short on rest. I’m debating between reading a library book that I checked out yesterday or taking a nap— 😴

I am glad you were able to go to the library.
