Had a great walk- was sprinkling right before I started but warmed up after(plus I started jogging so that helped warm me too- jogged about 1/3 of the way. Over 16,000 steps so far and getting ready to go to Zumba class for another hour.
EDIT-
Forgot to submit this before going to class.
Just got home. This substitute teacher worked us out!!. Hard when they do totally different routines and totally different songs. She did one song that we were used to but some of the steps were different.
Steps so far are now 23,500 and still have two hours before bed.

Heather - I will have to look at her works. It never hurts to do something to improve your relationship.
Some of my favourite food products disappeared during Covid and I haven’t found good substitutes yet.
Lisa - I check my balance everyday too.
Sorry for the loss of your friend. So young.
Allie - I think it’s great if Carmine can be herself at Seth’s she needs a place that she feels safe and can be herself.
Sorry about Kyle’s Dad that will be difficult.
Michele - sorry about Tigger.
My Grand Pup, Ember, is very sick today. My daughter is trying to find help for her. I am very worried. These pets are loved family members because they burrow right into your heart. Kaitlyn has finally found an emergency vet and is on the way. I told her I would stay up to hear.
I was called for an interview for tomorrow at 10am. I don’t think it’s a job I would want to accept, but I think the interview might be good just for practice. It’s almost an hour away though and it seems like a waste of gas to drive there for nothing. Well I talked myself through it and decided to cancel the interview.
Today I made some shirts for DH, for some reason he is running out faster than normal and I’m tired of doing laundry.
Barbara - my DH wouldn’t listen to anything I suggested or talked about health wise so I gave up. Since he needed dental work and couldn’t get it until his BP was down he has listened to the doctor tell him things I had said for years. Now they nag him not me.
Vicki - is the position one that needs to have wages looked at? That is an issue here for a lot of positions.
Terri - I can’t imagine waking to find my husband had passed beside me.
Glad you were able to deliver the card in person.
Rosemarie - walking every hour is a great idea. I need to do something similar.
I have my doctor appointment on Wednesday for the one month assessment of my sick leave. I heard from work again today and ended up with my BP rising again. I also want to talk to her about the chest pains I’m having and the physical exhaustion I’m feeling regularly.
I know I mentioned last night about the show Accused. It is intense. What a different take on all of the criminal type shows. I’m going to see if I can find the shows I missed.
Our Grandpup is on some meds to help her keep things down, but my daughter is still having a hard time getting her to even drink her water. They gave her fluids at the vet hospital this morning and said if she isn’t better in a couple of days to bring her back.
Hopefully she feels better tomorrow.
DH is going to their house tomorrow to work on the truck some more. Then we are going out for supper for our anniversary.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear of your family's friend. He was definitely far too young, I am happy to hear that he lived life to the fullest tho! Perhaps something we should all bear in mind....
Tracey, I do hope your grandpup gets better quickly! Probably a good call to cancel the interview. A one hour drive just to get there won't put you in the right frame of mind.
Allie, I am glad that Tracy has found daycare for Miles and that you will go back to being Gramma! Being the back up in case of illness or holiday wouldn't be so bad and I'm sure that they will still want you to be able to spend time with him.
Michele, I didn't realize that you knew Jerry's wife! That puts you in a delicate spot for sure. Sorry to hear about Tigger, hope it works out.
Once again trying to remember things that I wanted to comment on, but once again the memory fails. sigh.
Today turned out to be a good day, wasn't sure it would after the second stop I wanted to make. It was errand day today. I had gone thru a bunch of clothes last month and had a trunkful of stuff to take to Sally Ann, get there and the gate to the back where they accept the donations is closed and the sign on it says "Donations Closed". So now I have a trunk full of stuff and need to get groceries. I was trying to remember where I had seen some donation boxes, they used to be on pretty much every corner but then people were crawling in them and getting stuck and there were a few fatalities. Many organizations just didn't have the funds to get new and improved boxes so just gave up on them. Anyway, I went past one store that had one forever, but it was gone, so I just decided to get my groceries and be done with it, try Sally Ann another day. Went to Superstore and lo and behold, they have a donation box!!! So got my trunk emptied out, then went to a place that I was hoping recycled batteries (they do!) and also managed to leave a few burnt out light bulbs there! My mood was considerably improved after that! I was not looking forward to bringing those clothes home again, not after hauling them down the stairs and actually getting them into the car! lol
And it's way past my bedtime again.
Hugs for those needing them, congrats to those celebrating and welcome to the newbies!

DrKatieBug-congrats on weight loss. I think that can be the best way to drop the weight and if you aren't significantly overweight it is a good pace.
Lanette-yes, the independent living places can be a bit pricey.A lot depends on the size of apartment. I am looking at the one bed or possibly one bed with a den. Since it will include utilities (may do separate internet for streaming and of course my cell phone is separate), all other utilities are covered. All meals and snacks are included to some degree. Some give option of just a continental breakfast and dinner with other meals added as you want. Transportation to different places is included. Many have massage rooms included, hair dresser on site. There are fitness rooms, regular classes for exercise, a variety of craft options. So while it is a bit more than my current costs since my house is paid off, it will be less than 50% of my monthly retirement.Debbie-Destiny is an inspiration.
Rita-good to hear medication adjustment is having positive results.
Beth-my husband loved YouTube repairs!
Terri-so good you were able to offer personal condolences. It sounds horrible to wake up to that, but what a peaceful way to pass-silently next to the person you love.
Allie-sometimes causes of inflammation can be tough to track down. Getting rest may help. I know when I increase my sugar intake it is not unusual for my body to scream. Hope Kyle is able to spend some time with father.
Rosemarie-my Apple Watch (and many of the others) give a reminder to move every hour. All movement helps us and it does add up.
Tracey-hope grand pup continues to improve. Happy anniversary!
Evelyn-it is tough to remember everything you want to comment on while reading (especially on the very active days!). I try to use the draft feature or a separate word document that I paste in. Congrats on getting stuff donated. I am taking another load to Goodwill this weekend.
Machka-I like both memes. One task does lead me down other roads. One step at a time is the best way to avoid overwhelming.
Doctor's appointment this am (urologist checkup) then work from home. Take care all,

Good morning!
Hugs!
Congratulations!
Got the beds all mulched in Kentucky. Seriously in heed of rain down there. Trying to figure out why the mice are coming in there. Had little problems all winter/spring, but they cleaned up 3 bait boxes! Kept smelling a dead one in a closet, but couldn't locate it. Finally did! It died in the shop vac-ugh! Shop vac now out in tool room. Closet sprayed down. Did put foil and trim boards over more cracks we found. That did help in utility room, so hoping it makes a difference. Someone said they may be looking for food. The only food we keep down there is in the fridge. At least it isn't the skunk under the house!
Heart doctors are going to try to get my DH and my appointments together. Makes more sense. I am under strict instructions to walk.
For years I kept both check registers and budget notebook. I had to as my first DH and I started our marriage in extreme debt. Now I am pretty bad about keeping track. I keep eye for unusual activity on credit cards and checking accounts, but that is about it. DH is cash customer. I shop rarely. There was a time when I could tell you to the penny what I didn't where even if I went to 10 places, now I have to look at receipts. It is a nice place to be at this stage in my life. Most bills are paid automatically. For that I am thankful as time just gets away from me for writing checks.
I am enjoying my flowers and hummingbirds at home.i can see one feeder from my bed.
Time to get moving!
Much love to all from Ohio,
Kylia

Tracey - I am a great fan of working on our relationship. And on ourselves! Do you know the Gottmans? I like their idea of noticing 'bids' from your partner, and responding instead of ignoring them. That has made a difference as to how I pay attention to DH.
With regards to pets, I decided a long time ago that the pain of pets (because of my childhood history with them) outweighed the pleasure of their company. Plus I need all my energy for DH!!! I really hate taking care of things! And it causes all sorts of fears. So no pets, hardly any plants. Just me and him.
Hot again today. DH is going alone to pick up Bea. I will be hiding in a darkened room. I'll be here to make her dinner. Always the same one - pasta butterflies and pesto.
We are having fish soup tonight.
I've ordered a new case for my tablet, because the old one is looking very tatty and losing bits. I'm going for the same one in a serviceable navy, because it doesn't show the dirt. It's a bit like my new knickers and socks - can't lower the tone on the cruise!
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx6 -
I keep track of everything I spend on paper. I learned this from my mother. When she died and I went through her things, I found all the pages of her spending dating back to her first employment in the 1930's. Writing down what I spend is a lot like writing down or logging what I eat because it makes me look at what I 'm doing and not pretend it isn't happening.

Tracey--I feel what we get paid is fair for what we do. I guess I remember when I was making $10 an hour and was happy. I make more than twice that now and am happy with that. This person that applied is a CNA and makes more an hour than I do, so I think she should stay there. I know the right person will apply I just pray it is soon.
Today is my monthly 3 hour management meeting. Did I say I hate meetings, I hope I can stay awake.
Weight was same this morning as last week, not happy about that but at least I did not gain.

I just noticed that today is my 4100 day logging streak.11
-
Pip— Congrats for 4100 consecutive days of logging. Impressive!!! 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻

Terri: As Ginny said, it seems like a peaceful way for someone to pass, simply there and then gone, asleep by your loved one, but I would imagine it was a great shock to his wife. Glad you were able to give your condolences to her. My friend's cremation and celebration of life will be Friday, and I'm trying to decide what to send in remembrance. I know they will be inundated. Still thinking.
Allie: Hope Kyle is there in time to be able to say goodbye to his dad. Traveling grace, too, to him and his brother, and so sorry his dad never got to meet Miles.
Tracey: Hope your daughter's dog is doing better. Hate it when the furbaby's get sick and can't tell you what's wrong or where it hurts.
Rori: The Nuggets' win must have been SO exciting. So pleased for you that your team won their first championship, and hope they understand that you're a good luck charm for them...
Laundry folding is my immediate future. After that, who knows?
Love y'all,

Busy afternoon, Tracy ,Miles and I went to Costco again got him a size up in diapers and a few other odds and ends he was a good boy in the car and in the store.
Kyle's dad and step mom live in N.C.in South port he is on Hospice and his older brother flew down today and Jesse and Kyle need to get down there pronto.
Beth - reason the Strawberries are so expensive at least our local ones is because we had a freeze in May that did them in.. so alot of them died off.
Heard back from the Dr ..have to wait a week for the auto immune bloodwork to come back.. hopefully there are answers there..
Alllie, I don’t want to be a downer but in my case, with the way I am eating my autoimmune and inflammatory numbers are low. But neither are helping with my pain. So trying new things. There are ways, non-narcotic that help. My doc told me to try CURCIMIN. It is over the counter and takes a while to work like 3=4 weeks but it seems to be helping. Maybe it could be something for you to try? Got mine at Walgreens, or Walmart forget which. Next time coming from Amazon.

Lisa ... very sorry to hear about the loss of a friend. 51 is too young.
Machka ... I prefer emails, but there is something special about receiving a letter.
Rita ... I think your point about the checkbook register was not so much about using checks, but keeping detailed records of what you're spending. My excel spreadsheet is set up to note everything we do and I color code lines and items. I do some convoluted machinations with the spreadsheet that aren't worth explaining ... but even purchases on the credit card are marked as individual debits on my spreadsheet so that when I go to pay the credit bill, the money is there to pay in full. It helps me to be very detailed now that we're on a fixed budget. I want to know where every penny goes and how many pennies are available.
My weed trimmer broke this weekend and the replacement part is not available. Did some searching online and found a youtube video that showed how you could swap out another brand's head with a few modifications. $20 is a lot less than a new trimmer! My husband plans to take care of it for me, but I think I could do it if I had to.
Slow and steady rain here today near Buffalo. We so need this rain. Can almost see things green up as it's coming down.
Husband and I went to find local strawberries and there were none! All of the u-pick sites we were familiar with no longer exist and the one market that carries local produce only had shipped in berries. What's up with that? I did see local rhubarb though and bought some to make a pie. Sticker shock at the register. A little over 2 pounds was over $11.00... 4.99 a pound! The pie was delicious and I froze enough for another. Next week we'll head over to one of the local farmer's markets.

Keeping track ...
I download the details from my bank now and then, and drop it into Excel.
There I can do groupings on expense categories like groceries, fuel, etc.
I go that route because I don't have the time or inclination to duplicate work. In other words, why write it down when it is all recorded for me! 😀
M in Oz
Unfortunately, due to many reasons, we are retired going from check to check which is very difficult. That is why I am trying to find a way to record all monies going out of my debit account. We are finally out of the negative and beginning to save a little, very little so want to continue it. I know it is different for everyone, but thank everyone for your input! Sounds like there are many different methods so will experiment until I find what works best for us.

A little about yesterday’s stressors:
1. My son has given his social worker (both in Rhode Island) my name to be a mediator for him on documentation. He was contacting me every hour until I was able to talk to worker. She was very nice and my DS signed a release of information and something so she could keep me posted. This is actually a good thing overall.
2. One of the workers here who we befriended as a granddaughter (she is 21 years old) quit.
3. Our co-hosts quit leaving us alone with the ‘inept management.
4. The day ended with us going for a goodby pizza with the co-hosts and the co-worker that quit. Very sad as we all became good friends.
Now begins a new day and new tasks for us. Unpaid of course. 😳😒.
RVRita6 -
(((hugs))) to those who need them.
Heather, I'm so much like you in the finance department. Makes me feel good to know I'm not alone. I've never been much of a budgeter. I've always known just about exactly what I've had in the bank (or not) and don't have to look often. Although I do look regularly to make sure that nothing nefarious is going on. I did happen to catch something really odd several years ago, when someone else's income tax REFUND went into my/our account. Twasn't much and I certainly wasn't going to keep it, but it was a real surprise to find extra $$ in the account. HOW could someone (AND the government) make such a mistake? Glad it wasn't the other direction!
I hate it when I love a product and they change it or quit making it too. Grrrrr!
Just need some extra prayers for Anne, please. She's dealing with the "idiot" (because there is just NOT better word for him) that she left three years ago. He's been stalking her, mostly by phone, but some in person, and she finally took out a protection order on June 1st. Well, he's decided to contest it! And the hearing is tomorrow and she's just distraught. Not the least of which is because she has to face him again and tell a judge WHY she doesn't want to be around him, again, but she has to show all the proof of his stalking, which just brings it up all over. We're pretty sure one of the main reasons he's being such a jerk about the whole thing (besides being an arrogant narcissist) is that if this goes through, all of his weapons (yes, he's a "collector") will be confiscated. She didn't realize that and really didn't want that to happen, per se, because she doesn't think he'd go to "that length", but... now, who knows. So... prayers please, from those of you who believe. Thanks.
Love and Blessings, Carla, in MN14 -

Rita ... doesn't seem right that you're unpaid for all the work you do at the campsite!
Lisa ...I would send a card to your friend's family at this time and send something later to the family. You are right they will be inundated with things now. Offerings of sympathy that I received a few months later I had more time to appreciate ... if that makes sense.
Carla ... If he's stalking, he's not stable and if he's not stable, he shouldn't have access to firearms. He should have thought of that before he started being a jerk. Praying for your family.
Carol ... I like your new photo!

Tracey: Did you write that you have an MD appointment tomorrow and feel lethargic and have chest pains? I hope you do keep that MD appointment tomorrow. Please be sure to mention the chest pains.
Evelyn: Glad you found a donation box.
Kylia: Ugh...about the mouse!
RV Rita: Sorry you lost one of the workers and your co-hosts. I hope new people come in that are helpful!
Lanette: Sorry about your dog bite!
Carla: I hope things work out for Annie and the protective order.
Debbie: Great about doing some jogging! 23,500 steps...that is wonderful!
Barbie: If I wrote down everything I purchased my Starbucks ice coffee habit would be the number one problem. I do make ice coffee at home. But the ones from the store taste better. Also it is connection...no matter how meager...with a human when one is feeling lonely. Still.....a bad habit from a financial perspective.
Tracey...I must admit I am a little worried. I hope you are okay. As far as my day, this is the first day that I have cleaned the Cat House and then gone to the gym in the afternoon and walked for 40 minutes. It use to be I came home from cleaning and was wiped for the afternoon. I have not lost any weight since I lost my husband. I simply must become more active. I am not perfect with dieting but am around 1200 calories a day. I probably also need to lift more weights and do more lunges with weights.

Rita - I know you've mentioned relocating in the past. How did you find the your current "position" at Bottomless Lakes State Park and now that you've had experience, could you and your DH pull up stakes and find similar position/accommodations at another NM state park or perhaps a park in another state?
Sounds like the once fun group you worked with have pretty much all left. Wouldn't blame you for wanting to look elsewhere, although I know you and your DH have put down roots with doctors and different services in the community.
I hope things change for the better for you.
