Morning all.
Got in a 10K (09"23).
It's official @AlphaHowls ... Everybody Loves Raym.. -Jennifer!-
😂
@martaindale aww.
But can't tell if you're being sarcastic! Haha
So my android-ticket thing
Not yet resolved. Acknowledged it's a bug they're aware of.
So after a lot of 'type your reply above the line' to-ing and fro-ing... Asked what android phone I had. Said Google Pixel. They said if you login via Chrome on your Google pixel, you should be able to post!
And I can...!
So our Polish friends bought round this dessert yesterday so thought I'd break my food p0rn dry spell with a pic of a Polish Sernik

@tarun_yadavA I don't want to say I told you so, but on July 31 I said:
"I use an Android every day to access this forum Years ago I realized the MFP app was really wonky, but if you use a web browser to get here, everything works fine. So I would suggest to all the Android army to come here using your web browser."
7 -
@tarun_yadavA @Scott6255 ugh, that's not what I was wanting to hear. Sure, I can use the browser but the app is so convenient. I also have a Pixel. Fine, I'll break down and use the stupid browser after my run today and test post a picture.5

No run yesterday as it was just too wet and a damp one 2day. It was supposed to be 23c today but the mist never lifted. I think u jinxed my weather @chris_in_cal 😂5 -
I haven't posted in a few days. This week has just been super busy and I got home late and needed to get up early, so didn't post so I could hopefully get to bed a little earlier. I did read over all of the posts I missed an commented on a few, but liked them all. You are all doing great!SummerSkier wrote: »Im pretty intimidated by the whole - I can just go out and run 30 miles when I have the time thing...😳😂🧐💖

@Laurz9191 I would love to run through a "tunnel of puppies." Glad you found your earbuds.SummerSkier wrote: »I accidently set my watch for 16 hrs instead of minutes and kept wondering why I had not hit the halfway point. Perhaps I was channeling Alphahowls or Eleanor.... hahahaha.🧐😳🙃🤷♀️🤣🤣🤣 ANyway hopefully the hot mornings are done after today...
@martaindale It was probably a great idea to not run outside, in the dark, yesterday after the storms. I think @Scott6255 would agree from past experience. (I see he did agree. ) Enjoy your weekend in the hill country.
@AlphaHowls Being intimidated by your running isn't a bad thing. As everyone else has said, I think it is inspirational and I don't want you to stop posting your runs, esp. if that is the reason. I love the picture of the bald eagle. That is a huge pear!
@Teresa502 That sculpture is interesting and the sky beautiful. Where do you work?

11 miles this morning. Yet again my brain betrayed my body (or the other way around, I don't know). But I guess all the pent up anticipation of cooler weather over rode my plan to take it slow and easy. It felt good not to be drenched in sweat for the entire run.

22.5/120 miles
10/2: 3 miles
10/4: 2.8 miles
10/5: 3.7 miles
10/6: 5 miles
10/7: 8 miles
Such lovely weather! It was 62F and cloudy when I left. The wind was a bit of a challenge, especially if it was a headwind as you were going up a hill, but generally felt nice. I agree @Scott6255 it is so nice not to be dripping sweat for the entire run.
I was awake early enough to see the sunrise, which was gorgeous!

10/1: 2.00 mile walk - driveway laps
10/2: 1.00 mile walk - 2.85 miles ran - driveway Fast Finish Run
10/3: 1.00 mile walk - Push mowed at mom's almost an hour
10/4: 2.00 mile walk - driveway
10/5: 1.00 mile walk - 2.50 miles ran - Hill Repeats
10/6: 2.00 mile walk - treadmill
10/7: 1.00 mile walk - 4.25 mile run - treadmill - Failed at the 9 mile scheduled run
19.60/90 mile goal
I haven't posted my activity since the 2nd. Not sure how that happened, except that this week has been busier than most and that is saying something.
I had planned on running on Tues until mom's riding mowed refused to move so wound up push mower her yard. My neighbor and I took turns, but I still pushed for 50 minutes - I did all of the hilly part while he weed eat. I just didn't have a run in me after that, so just walked a mile on the driveway.
Wednesday, I worked until 3:30, so did a driveway walk after I got home before church.
Thursday I did do my scheduled Hill Repeats run after doing blood pressures all morning. I did 5 min Zone 1, 5 min Zone 2, then 10 x (30s Zone 5/90s recovery), 5 min Zone 1. It wasn't too bad. The average of the uphill zone 5 was 11:05 min/mile. I'll take that. The fastest 30s was the last, at 9:40 min/mile. Now, if I could just keep that up for longer than 30 seconds.
Yesterday, I worked at daycare until 4:45 and then had some errands to run. It was late and I was tired and hungry when I got home, so I just did a 2 mile treadmill walk while I watched Wheel of Fortune.
Today my schedule called for 9 mile easy long run. I was lazy and procrastinated a bit too long and ran out of time for 9 miles, which would take me about 2 hours at my easy pace. I decided to do an hour of running plus my 1 mile total for warm up and cool down. I did a treadmill run because the wind was blowing, the driveway is covered in slick leaves, and it was a bit chilly out there, despite the sun. I did 30 min of 4/1 run walk and then 30 min of 3/2 run walk to keep my HR below 140. I did pretty good as it was only over my goal for a total of about 6 min. Avg HR was 132 with a max of 144 bpm. So, I'm pleased with what I did, but far short of the plan.8 -
Hello everyone!
A friend of mine was singing at a charity run last night around a nearby lake, so I spontaneously decided to go hear her and get a run in. I am really glad I went, although I am really not an evening runner. They had light shows and different types of live music (and some flame throwers) spread around the lake. This walk/run had been cancelled the previous 3 years due to covid/bad weather, so it was nice to be a part of it the first time back- especially since it’s for a really good cause- all donation money they get goes towards funding a house next to the hospital for parents of sick children so they can stay nearby. After my run I stayed till the end of the main concert. It was really fun and luckily not too cold . I did 5 laps around the lake (12km). So far for October 52.1/160km.

I’m originally from upstate NY and had been a Buffalo Bills fan for many years. I have a sister who currently lives in Buffalo and all my sisters still follow them and are big fans. I’m simply always too busy to watch any tv, so once my sons grew up and left home, watching sports disappeared from my life.
Enjoy your day! Go Bills!! 😀

Totally not my month. Was hit by pretty bad reflux, which was rather bad after the previous run and hence had to wait for it to subside, because acid in nose and lungs is not the most pleasant thing. Of course, after a forced break I'm too impatient and run too fast. Hence only 3km6 -
@tarun_yadavA Yes, actually. A beer - alcohol free after the run. That’s a really a big thing after all races in Germany.5

Red maple in my front yard
Tobacco leaves I picked up on the road today. Got them twisted to dry and my brother calls is 'country potpourri'
I had not reached the top of the hill to see sunrise, but this beauty showed it to me

October Goal: 130 miles
10/1: 11.11 miles
10/3: 6.25 miles
10/4: 6.25 miles
10/5: 7.01 miles
10/6: 3.52 miles
10/8: 12.05 miles
46.19/130 miles completed for October
The weather was perfect this morning! It was 50°F. I was actually a little chilly starting out and even though it warmed up to about 67°F, I was never too hot. I ran 12 miles and felt like I could run forever. I did need to use the restroom for about the last half mile though, so I was glad to get home. The coolest thing I saw today was at the cemetery. The cemetery is on the edge of town, so the south side faces pastures. I saw 6 deer running along the fence. There were two pretty big deer, a couple of medium size, and two smaller deer. Every now and then I saw a deer jump, but they couldn't clear the fence. Then one of the bigger deer jumped over and I realized that the other big deer was on this side already. I think they were running along the fence looking for a good spot for everyone to jump over. It was really neat to see.
@alphahowls I also hope you don't stop posting. One of the things I love about this group is how diverse it is. We have fast runners and slow runners. Runners who run long distances and those who run shorter distances. Some are old, some are young. But at the end of the day, we are all runners. I am inspired by you all.

Good morning everyone!
100 mile goal 49.93 as of yesterday. I will most likely slow down after the first 2 weeks.. LOL
It was a gorgeous morning to run yesterday so I did a long run of 90 minutes again. I was slightly faster than last week's 8 miler probably due to better weather. It was nice not to be a wet mess during and after. This week should be pretty good for running also.

6.2 miles this morning. Pretty nice run after a rough first couple of miles. Body was sore from 2 hours of car repair yesterday (brakes/tire rotation). Playlist was sending me mixed signals...First song was the Eagles "Take it Easy". I thought yeah, I should do that. Then a few songs later, those same Eagles said "Take it to the Limit". C'mon guys...make up your mind! 😏

@tarun_yadavA Nice sernik! Hope you enjoyed it!
@AlphaHowls PLEASE keep posting! Same to everyone else, regardless of ability, distance, speed, etc. That's what's great about this group - all of the different experiences and accomplishments we get to share with each other.
I've been quiet, not much new to add to the conversation. I've been on a few short walks lately and did a few easy weight workouts. Symptoms are mostly unchanged. It's all boring even to me, haha. But I also ended up ordering the new watch I was thinking about, we're calling it my combined anniversary/birthday present. Suunto 9 Peak, hope it's as cool as it looks. Mostly I want it for the HRV and sleep tracking, to help with pacing. My old watch doesn't have all of the features I want, and also it's bright blue. Not the best for everyday wear. I'll be sure to post pictures of the new one when it gets here.9 -

Quick easy run this morning before heading back to Houston. The mornings have been so lovely! The wildlife is a lot more active with a nicer temperatures as well.
Yesterday the family went to the Austin city limits music festival, which was so much fun. It didn’t hurt that the weather was also the nicest we’ve had in over a decade. This year our main goal was getting up front for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We all love them and they haven’t toured in a really long time and they were going to be at ACL this year. We ended up pretty close to the center about four or five rows back. Karen O puts on amazing show, I’m so happy that we got to see them. It made for a really late night and we didn’t get home until about 1130. So I slept in a little bit and got a later start than usual but it was still really pretty outside currently waiting on the dishes and laundry to finish so that I can pack up and head home.7 -
Hello everyone!
Today’s run was 8.4km. Nothing exciting but I was glad to go out and run , even though I was really pressed for time. 60.5km/160km for October.
