    2024 Goals:
    1) Ultimate goal weight 150#... I'll be thrilled if I can get back down to 160# this year
    • Post weekly weigh-in on MFP for accountability. Saturday a.m. is my "official" weigh-in day, and I track daily on a separate app (for the visual). My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale.
    • Take measurements & log on MFP every month end
    2) Plan meals most days & prelog meals/snacks whenever possible on MFP
    • Try new recipes Unfortunately, no wall oven until mid-Feb or later & sad me, but try slow cooker & stove recipes... wall oven installed 2/26 but no new recipes yet.
      * lentil rice sausage tortellini soup (internet) ~ very good, recipe is keeper
      * glazed lemon cookies (internet search) ~ everyone loved them at Easter dinner
      * rhubarb cobbler (in my first ever cookbook BH&G) ~ very good, I want to try with other fruits this summer
      * yellow cake (BH&G cookbook) ~ I followed instructions closely & blended well, very good with rhubarb sauce
      * white chicken enchiladas (newspaper) ~ very good, although 2 tortillas with recipe as written 846 calories (created in MFP recipes)
      * Greek yogurt almond butter breakfast parfait (newsletter) ~ terrific, if high in calories... maybe tweak
      * garlic scape basil pesto (internet blog) ~ excellent! tried as recommended with pasta (used up my radiatore)
      * summer squash, zucchini, mushroom casserole (TOH) ~ excellent! & good way to use squash & zucchini
      * zucchini meatloaf (sister) ~ good but hubby prefers classic recipe

      • In 2022 I logged 500.4 miles, or 805km (knee issues).
      5) At least 7,500 steps per day
      • I can earn $10 every month on my Medicare Advantage Plan with 10+ days of 7,500 steps [noticed 7/12 that requirement reduced to 5,000 steps, but I'll continue with goal of 7,500]:

Went swimming at son and DIL’s again today. Felt so good. The water feels really soothing on my feet, in which I have nerve pain. I’m so happy they have this pool and that I can use it whenever I want! Finally cooling off to temperatures in the 70’s this week. Yay! Maybe I will start my walking program back up. ☀️😊

Hope everyone had a great weekend! ❤️

I had a good weekend but now really need to get serious again. It would be so easy to just relax and undo my efforts so far. I'm considering booking a holiday for about 2 months time, it would be nice to be a few pounds lighter by then.

    JFT Monday 5th August

    Log everything
    Stay in the green
    No snacking
    PF exercises
    General exercises

Weather is wild and wet today, so a walk looks unlikely. Indoor jobs only today.
    Summer, what summer? :)

Huh, apparently MFP has awarded me an "Ancient membership" badge today. That doesn't sound good, does it?! 😂

Had a decent weekend. Was a little under the weather still, but nothing serious. Got a little house work accomplished and the laundry done. Food was pretty on point. Didn't eat out much, didn't drink alcohol.

Afraid to weigh in though. Silly really, but true...

    4) Today will probably be low-key so whatever gets done is bonus  actually got a few things done on computer, around house & yard TA-DA!

MIA again.. where did the summer go! I've been busy, but sadly, not been tracking my food, and my weight reflects this! WHy is all this so hard.. it should not be that difficult.
So, trying to get back to tracking, drinking my water, and stop the snacking.
On the plus side... I am so good with the gym part. I now go to the gym at least 4 times a week for 60-90 minutes. Ha.. you would think I would be losing weight though! I know I am gaining muscle, but still fighting to lose this 20 pounds.
So I'm going to try and be better at being consistent!!!
Hope you are all doing well! I am so far behind reading posts!

Restful weekend. Visited with DED and grandsons after lunch on Sunday. Weather has been up and down, but this morning is quite good.

Today I’m reading some of my writing at a Picnic in the Park organised by the charity that I volunteer for. It’s in the walled garden of our City Hal. Hoping that it stays dry.

Today we will visit DED and grandsons.

I think that summer malaise has affected a lot of us. 😂 Sometimes, we just lose sight of the bigger picture. We just have to make sure that we nip it in the bud quickly 😂

    @Bex953172 I joined here in 2013, so 11 years is ancient 😂

    JFT Monday 5th August

Log everything ❌ everything apart from a handful of crisps in the evening
Stay in the green ❌...the crisps
No snacking ❌ yep, you know what I'm going to say...
    PF exercises ❌
    General exercises ❌

Weather is wild and wet today, so a walk looks unlikely. Indoor jobs only today.
    Summer, what summer? :)

Well that looks bad, all red crosses. Actually ate fine all day, just that 100 calories or so of crisps spoiled the record. I did want more, but restrained myself. Must exercise more.

Weather was atrocious all day yesterday, heavy rain and winds. We had weather warnings and flooded roads. My son is having an extension built, and was just at the point where some of the slates on the roof have been removed but the new roof is not on, so the part of the house they're still living in was leaking all over. What bad timing.

    JFT Tuesday 6th August

    Log everything
    Stay in the green
    No snacking
    PF exercises
    General exercises
    Tip run
    Garden

It's dry this morning, rain forecast for later. Need to get into the garden to tidy up, lots of plants flattened and pots blown over.
