Weight does seem to come on so easily. My incentive for weight loss is to get out of the prediabetic range I am currently in.

Weighed myself this morning and back down to my pre-Christmas weight so happy about that. Hoping to be at 175 by the end of January. My weight comes off very slowly so not sure that is a realistic goal but will see.

Going grocery shopping this afternoon. Highways should be ok as we just had a little skiff of snow yesterday and it is another beautiful sunny day out.

You are so smart to reverse that pre-diabetes before it hits full blown disease and you are stuck with insulin shots and constant monitoring for the rest of your life. Have you made any alterations with regard to things you eat?

Stunning photo! Thank you for posting and giving us a glimpse of your walk....absolutely beautiful.

As for my diet, I am cutting back on anything sugary...no jam, cookies, cake, etc. Finding there is a lot of added sugar in items so making sure I read labels. Trying to maintain healthy eating with vegetables, fruits and lean proteins. Working very slowly but it is working so that's the main thing. Went from 186 to 179 but when I look at my weight chart that I use on mfp, it took about 3 months to lose 7 pounds. Wish it was faster.

Joy, my doc does not want me to
Lose weight quickly. She says a slow measured loss is sustainable and most fast weight loss is back on in a year or two. Sounds like you are doing it correctly.
I will start eliminating sugars. May sound easier than it is.

I also avoid white bread. I make my own bread and use whole wheat flour. Have been adding in a bit of grain cereal (like Sunny Boy) to add some more nutrients to the bread. I have read that diabetics should avoid white bread due to higher sugar content and processed white flour.

Have the slow cooker going with a sirloin tip beef roast. Added some of my herbs (frozen) that I picked from my planter during the summer. Had a rather large planter that I grew rosemary, thyme, marjoram and basil in. Just kept clipping and freezing the leaves. House smells nice and looking forward to supper!
