I am sorry I have not been that active. I felt quite depressed this last month; my work can really take me down emotionally. Anyway....Thank you to everyone who has responded to our newcomers and to our wonderful, faithful friends.
I am trying to keep my weight going down, even if it's by mere ounces. That is my goal besides feeling well emotionally. During the winter, the weather gives me the blues. I assume that's true for many of us. I'm in the midwest, and we have prolonged grey skies for weeks on end.
On a positive note, my hubby and I have been cooking at home daily. We are trying to save our money by not going out often which adds to the credit card and to the waistline. We are planning a big trip across the world to Australia this summer. I want to be feel healthy and trimmer.
Wishing you all a happy St. Patrick's Day this weekend!

OK at this rate I will need to change my goal weight for the month. Let's now say 152. I am just stuck in a cycle of eating well and moving for a day or so, followed by a huge dinner or too many sweets the next. The main culprit is going to out to eat, where the portions are huge and I have no say in the amount of butter in something.
You've come so far! I feel it's totally normal to fluctuate. xo
Sometimes, the butter is ok; it's more satiating. You're doing just fine, my friend.
Maybe your body is at a good resting point for now.2 -
@deepwoodslady 4.6 pounds lost is really good!!! Keep it up!2

Mine is "The horrors persist, but so do I". Heh.3 -

I started requesting they box half the meal up to-go when I order it. That way I'm not tempted to eat more than I should, and the money spent on eating out covers two meals. Just an option.

A decent week. I stuck to my calorie limit 6 days out of 7, one day off to go to a restaurant. Same plan this week.
Wore a pair of trousers yesterday that I previously couldn't fit into.
Wearing clothes you couldn't fit in before is a triumph!!!4 -

The best week yet. Lots of exercise (I do ballet and hiking) and I'm really sticking to it and counting every calorie.
We think in Stones in the UK, where 1 stone is 14 pounds. So I started at just over 12 stone, and it would be great to get to the next level, of below 11 stone, I've got 4.6 pounds to go.

Year 4 hasn't been going well at all. I'm up nearly 8 pounds in ~8 months.
But I am aware of a number of things that we are all aware of:- It's easier to put on than take off.
- Being healthy is a lifestyle.
- It is within our power to lose weight, the question are we willing to do the work.
- You can't have your cake and eat it too. (I've been trying, and it just doesn't work!)
- If you don't quit, you won't lose. Wait!... I mean, I will lose, weight that is!
So, I am now starting over. I am forgetting about how much weight I've lost and instead focusing on how much weight I need to lose. My first goal for the next four months is to get back to square one for the year. My second goal is to continue down to what will be my maintenance weight, where I will stay!

03/12-180.6-(Trend Weight: 179.5)- I traveled again yesterday which really upped the scale due to restaurant food for 2 of my meals. So much sitting when traveling! I am not worried though. I know I can get it back down, I just hate the set-backs and how it delays the progress. However, I must remember that this too shall pass and is inevitably part of the journey for us all.
03/19-179.4-(Trend Weight: 180.3)- It’s been a horrible couple of weeks food-wise. My meals have actually been on target mostly but I think I’ve been eating too early which has pushed my dinner up earlier. That leaves me too many evening and night hours for snacking. I get so hungry in those empty hours! Then the cravings begin because of what I’ve been snacking on! It’s a train wreck but logging and studying my habits is an invaluable tool. Thank you MFP! I am tweaking and making the changes I need. I just wish I had more time and privacy during this multi-room renovation to get my exercise in. I’ve got to figure that out. Have a great week everyone. I hope you are all a bit closer to your health needs and your dreams coming true!

02/12: 201. A fair bit of that was just not having all the vacation food in my guts. And losing all that salt related water weight.
02/19: 204. Kinda bounced off that 200# floor. I was right at 200 for a couple of days, then food happened. I've hit that stage in weight loss where my workouts are suffering. Lifting much less weight despite still going to the gym regularly. My joints ache. Had to do a bit of a refeed to feel better about the workouts, but it had consequences.
02/26: 199!!! Finally under that 200 mark. I fluttered between 196.5 and 199.5 over the last few days, so I'll take it!
03/04: 197. That's realistically about 4-5 pounds down in Feb. That's right on track. Pound a week is good stuff. I'd love to be down to 190 by my b-day in May.
03/11: 195. Killin' it. Although I'm expecting a small rebound from not being in the gym while I've had a cold.
03/18: 197. There's the bump I expected. No worries. Back at it.7 -

I keep yo yo ing around 155. My goal was 150. You would think, "what's 5 lbs?" but it is tough. I get on a losing streak then 1 big meal blows it. Now it is our anniversary (dining out) then Easter next week (huge dinner). UGH. I need to be sent to a slender spa for a month or something.4

I've been MIA this last 2 months. We were in Hawaii for 3 weeks, was home for a week then had to take a friend to Vancouver BC for surgery. I've been here for 4 days now and sounds like another 5 more before we get to go home.
I will hopefully be able to weigh-in
for April and if not will wait for the next 3 month challenge. The last time I weighed myself I was up 5Lbs.
Hoping I can find a scale somewhere so I can get a weight so I can at least try to keep track and hopefully haven't gained anymore.
I'm the highest I have ever been and it is starting to really bother me. It is hard to eat properly when I'm away from home and in a hotel.
I have been doing a lot of walking the last month but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
Going to try eat lighter meals today and get out for a couple of walks.
See you next month6 -
@sunnydays930
Enjoy your special day! It only comes but once per year. The scale is not nearly as important as your time celebrating each other and all the time you've spent together as a couple! That special meal, that glass of wine. It's nothing that can be quickly resolved later! Have a Wonderful time. Wishing you many more years together and lots of Love!

@deepwoodslady Thank you for that beautiful message!! I am touched. We look forward to a fun and romantic time away and yes, I am going to eat pretty and delicious food, starting with French food tonight!5
