Started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.

My final goal weight is 145.

Highest weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs

Starting weight as of January 26 2024: 155.5

    Feb 3: 156.2
    Feb 9: 155.4
    Feb 15: 154.8
    Feb 23: Away
    Mar 1: Sick
    Mar 8: 153.2
    Mar 15: 154.5
    Mar 22: 155.3
    Mar 29: 155.1
    Apr 6: 155.5
    Apr 14: 154.9

    Challenge Goal: 2 lbs (153.5)
    Challenge Actual: -.5

It's not likely that I'll hit my 2 pound goal this round. However, my average weight is 155 this round, a full pound less than it was during the last round. As long as I'm still going in the right direction I'll take it!

    Have a great week!

    02/05: 205. Let's get it!
02/12: 201. A fair bit of that was just not having all the vacation food in my guts. And losing all that salt related water weight.
02/19: 204. Kinda bounced off that 200# floor. I was right at 200 for a couple of days, then food happened. I've hit that stage in weight loss where my workouts are suffering. Lifting much less weight despite still going to the gym regularly. My joints ache. Had to do a bit of a refeed to feel better about the workouts, but it had consequences.
02/26: 199!!! Finally under that 200 mark. I fluttered between 196.5 and 199.5 over the last few days, so I'll take it!
03/04: 197. That's realistically about 4-5 pounds down in Feb. That's right on track. Pound a week is good stuff. I'd love to be down to 190 by my b-day in May.
03/11: 195. Killin' it. Although I'm expecting a small rebound from not being in the gym while I've had a cold.
03/18: 197. There's the bump I expected. No worries. Back at it.
03/25: 194. I was really good this week, but at least some of that is dehydration from the 2 glasses of wine I had before bed. :)
04/15: 197. Man... been a second. I gotta be honest that I am pretty stoked about this 197 because I've been on vacation in TX for the past 2 weeks with no gym and TX food... so... I'll take this 197. I bet it will be a fair bit lower next week.

I'm home from Idaho after 9-days visiting family and friends. And they do like to eat and eat
While away, I didn't exercise or log meals and was shocked to see the gain of only 1lb.

Great job! Going home to family is rough when you come from a "food is love" sort of family. Only gaining a pound in 9 days of that is incredible! You should be proud.

04/16-182.4-(Trend Weight: 181.8)- I wanted to lose a total of 12 pounds this round. In February I was slightly better than my goal. In March I slipped which set me on a Path that I haven’t really found my way off of. This month is horrid. It is FILLED with travel which really hurts my bottom line for all the normal reasons (restaurant foods and sitting, sitting, sitting). Last week’s travel killed my progress and sent me spiraling backward and this upcoming week’s travel is even further, longer and worse. Let’s just hope I get a good report from the Cancer Center at the University Hospital as something suspicious is being reinvestigated later this week. It’s been a long 6 months waiting for them to re-test and compare. I am already a cancer patient in remission. I appreciate all the prayers.

04/23- DNW I’m popping on to check in and keep up on reading the posts. I am doing so-so which is not good enough to reverse any damage, I’m sure. Feeling bloated and chubby. Today was a PCP local doctor appointment for myself and my son too. I saw the doctors scale and had to bend down and pick my eyeballs off the floor. Of course I was fully dressed and it was 1:00 in the afternoon with meals and a pot of coffee in me, but still much worse than expected. I am not emotionally ready to go through that again so I will seriously try to focus over the next couple of days. Afterward I traveled about 2 hours each way for a special order building supply for the renovation. I chose chicken for dinner but at this point nothing seems to matter or help. Tomorrow I will travel about 3 hours round trip so no meal away will be necessary. It will be an in & out thing. I am waiting on the call to hear that our new glasses are in. There will be some travel there to pick them up. I just want a one week stretch at home with no travel to really focus but like Mick said, “You can’t always get what you want.”

I decided to sign up for the premium version of MFP. I am not sure I know the difference between the free and premium. I may have to look on Youtube maybe and see if I can find a video about what premium offers me.

On a positive note, I have tracked my food and drink 7 out of 10 days, so that's a good sign.
The negative note is the tracking has definitely made me more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth.

I promised myself that I will track it all- the good and the bad.
I'm getting tired of trying new things with my food and diet and finding little affects my weight.

I went through menopause, divorce and a new marriage in the last five years and that has derailed my health goals. Sometime, I felt like I was just functioning in survival mode.

I have a great marriage now, but I am still dealing with menopause side effects, stressful job and so on. Sigh.

Ugh...I know the feeling...menopause is tough! It's really hard to figure out what works and what doesn't. The one thing I find is watching my carb intake...I don't workout hard enough to burn extra carbs so therefore they turn to sugar and that turns to belly fat! Also when you research how many actually calories you need, it's quite depressing lol

I agree. When I eat carby food, I feel awful. I do have belly and I never ever had that before. My side profile looks like Gru from Despicable Me movie (kid's movie). :)

    Hi guys!

@frankwbrown At least you checked in, monitored your health, and did the best you could.
