Terri I probably am going to not plan on going back East this year. I need to save up (bank account is sick) and prepare for moving into a different house/RV/Park in the near future. Things at this park are getting worse.
I FOUND MY WATCH!!!! I was fixing the sheet on my DH’s side of the bed, it had pull out from the corner. Stuck my hand between the mattress and the night stand and VOILA!! I felt something that shouldn’t have been there, pulled it out and it was my watch!! I figured it would be in some place I never thought to look and don’t understand how it got there, but it’s found and that is what is important!

Congrats Rita!!!! I think it is more frustrating to loose something in a small space, because it seems crazy that you can't find it.5
-
Rita, YAY!! So happy that you found your watch!
Beth, thank you. And hugs to you for the loss of your son. In my case, it has been my parents preceding me, the natural order of things so it’s easier to bear. I did lose a very dear friend 20 years ago, she was only 46. I still really miss her.
Lisa, sure hope the VA will cover the Skyrizi! How on earth do folks afford that without coverage??😳
Debbie, I can certainly understand your hubby being so pumped about his sales on the weekend! I hope you are able to do just as well at your next show!
And now I’ve posted two days in a row! Still feel like I’ve been hit by a truck, but it is only a cold, it will run its course. My heart really goes out to those of you who have to deal with chronic conditions, not sure I would be able to exhibit the degree of grace that has come across these pages!
Evelyn, on what is for now, sunny, Vancouver Island7 -
Allie - I'm so sorry about the diagnosis for Tracey's pregnancy. I hope things turn out the best they possibly can for everyone. Many hugs for you, as I know you're worried about them all.
Rita - So cool that you finally found your watch!
Heather - Thought your answers for the Hovarian were cool and collected. Very nice.
Kylia - Walmart has their Easter items in, and I thought of you when I picked this up this morning, because of the colors. Maybe this will finally be the one I can keep alive and reblooming.
Most of the chores done, just meds to go. I've got the next color on the mural set firmly in my mind, so might be able to make more progress on that today. Hope it is/was a good day.
Love, y'all,
Lisa in AR

Beth - Big hugs for you. I really admire the way you 'cope' with life. I'm sure you would prefer not to have to, but you have such dignity.
Allie - Such a difficult time for the family. The worry must be so wearing. I keep you all in my thoughts.
The Hovarian was very happy with my answers. She is going to use the photo of me holding the book that I sent her as 'bait'.
Dentist tomorrow. Just a checkup. Then Bea pick up. I am going to start taking my twice daily BP measurements tomorrow. The pharmacy will call me later in the week to see how the new medication is suiting me.
Vascular test in March. I will ask the NP about the upper abdomen discomfort.
I'm keeping up the exercise, but hope I can do the walk from school tomorrow.

Yes ,I have to put it in the good lords hands because we don't know the outcome.
I was bad and spent a bunch of money on bakery items at the grocery store yesterday. Don't know what got into me..
Tom just sent me video of Alfie barking at him to go outside ..Im so glad that he enjoys having him part time.
I signed up for a weight loss what do you call it when they want you to be part of a review of sorts for people with heart failure.
She will call back in case the kidney issue trumps me out.7 -
Allie ~ Prayers for Tracy and you. I did look up that pregnancy and it is very scary.
Rita ~ Glad you found your watch.
Beth ~ Hugs! That was a sweet poem your friend shared with you.
Annie ~ Sounds like you have a plan for your future. I sure hope it works out for you.
Lisa ~ Sure hope the VA approves the meds. That out of pocket cost sounds outrageous.
Travel: This little Georgia gal has not been a traveler! We did go on a cruise to the Bahamas for our 25th anniversary. And, we lived in Kentucky for 2 yrs while DH was at Fort Knox. Other than that, it was mostly trips to neighboring states of GA to go to the beach. I have always thought I would love to travel to the New England coast and drive all of the coast along the Pacific.

Well, 2 days later and the migraine is finally gone. Thanks for the good wishes.
I really enjoyed hearing the stories of your exes! I have a friend who believes there is always "one that got away."
Anyway, I will be tossing the photos of my exes, since I don't have a Lifetime Movie love story that involved any of them that I may want to write someday.
On travel-I love it and don't have any plans to stop any time soon. I have made my way around Europe and the U.S. quite successfully, though there are still a lot more places to go. I've dipped a toe into the southern hemisphere as far south as Fiji. Been to a couple of places in the Caribbean and most of the Central American countries.
I don't have a desire to take a cruise yet. If anything, maybe a river cruise, but that's doubtful for a while.
I'm currently trying to decide where to go this year for vacation. I don't think I'll have enough time to go where I'd like to go. I really don't like planning vacations. I wish I had a travel agent I could trust to plan them the way I'd like rather than the way everyone else does or the way that makes them the most money. I like getting off the beaten path.
I guess I should do some work and get some exercise in. Maybe I can get a walk/run in before the rain starts.

Heather-with the pain shifting legs I suddenly wondered if it may have something to do with a nerve in your back. Years ago when I had a herniated disc (actually I have had two of them in my neck) I had arm pain and leg pain.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio
Good point Ginny.
Heather, perhaps a few visits to your local chiropractor might help.

I am hoping it helps him. He needs to put this as a priority and not worry about how his mom is going to react.
She did pretty good this morning. might have been because I went too- I walk the dog while he makes sure she takes her pills and get her food if she wants it. He was so excited about how much he made and his mom was snarky saying-oh you going to be a millionaire now. He just said, most mom's would be happy their son was doing well and instead she is just a b***** about it and then he let it go- usually he would start arguing with her.

Tracey--Looks like you covered a lot with your book. Looks very professional. I have read something like that before. Boy!! have we come a long way.
Heather--Glad your overnight went well. Isn't it amazing some of the things these grandchildren talk about.
Betsy--Sounds like you are getting a lot done. Glad you are doing better.
Kelly--Sounds like you have great plans for when family comes to visit. The egg space ship is great. Glad the little one felt safe enough to join in the fun.
Annie---Glad to hear you got both yours and your dad's taxes done. Check that off the list.
April--WOW!! about your son. Sounds like he is a fighter. Prayers for thing to keep getting better for him. It will be so much better having him closer.
Rita--Maybe just start talking about the trip and let DH get used to the idea and tell him it is his choice to go or not. But you want to do what you want.
Up to page 60. We had a very nice weekend. Took our 14 year old grandson. Wanted to get him out of the house as parents just keep fighting. Any way it was nice. I forgot how much a teenage boy can eat. The funeral was nice and we got to visit with DH's family. They were teasing him about turning 70 March 1. I am doing a card shower and getting lots of cards from family and friend we have not seen in a long time. Fun to catch up.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE Where it is 70 today and going to be cold next couple days with maybe some snow.9 -
Evening ladies
Nothing exciting on t.v.,think I will finish my book..and go to sleep.5 -
Insomnia was terrible last night- I think I woke up about every hour if not more often-Fitbit said my sleep was poor. I feel it. Wish I was a napper. Just drinking more tea(had an natural energy drink earlier, didn't help). Will be going to bed early. Kind of glad we don't have Zumba tonight.
We went shopping(of course, do that every day). We went to Black Friday and picked up a few things for him to use as bases for the new Godzilllas we are printing for the shows.4 -
Rita - great news about finding the watch. Have fun using it.
Heather - I'm sure the Hovarian was impressed with your answers. Well done. Yes, a photo of you holding the book will lure in the readers.
Lisa - good luck with that test, hope it all goes smoothly. Did they say you'd glow in the dark for a few days? I had a nuclear bone scan ages ago and I seem to remember they said I'd set off a Geiger counter for a day. Wonder if they were joking. Hope the VA provides the Skyrizi and it helps you.
I wonder how they come up with the names for some of these drugs.
Beth - I've been thinking about you. Three years already since your son passed, it just doesn't seem possible. Glad your mom wasn't injured when she fell out of bed, hope the UTI gets cleared up quickly - good of you to tackle the facility. And I would love to hear more about the cochlear implant.
Annie - thanks for the info about your aunt being mom's sis. I don't think any education is ever wasted - whether you go on to become a pharmacy tech or not, you'll still gain a lot of useful knowledge, like you said. See if you can find out how they come up with the names for some of these drugs, see above.
Tina - so glad your migraine finally subsided. Your vacations and travels sound so exciting. I've been able to dip my toes in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and count myself very lucky. Had it not been for my DH being in the Marines, I probably would have stayed close to Indiana.
Debbie - sorry about your sleep last night. Very very encouraging that your DH is so enthused about printing new Godzilla's that his mom's nasty comments don't bother him.
Vicki- it's 80F in Central Indiana today according to my brother. So nice you took your grandson out for a meal. He might be getting older but I bet he always enjoys the love and time he gets to spend with you.
Had a little snow and rain all day long it seems, even when the temps hit above 40F.
I had quite a day with a terrific shin splint in my right leg this morning. Broke down and took an ibuprofen, propped it up and put heat on it for an hour. It felt better so I put on my walking shoes and the pain quickly went away like it never happened. Very, very grateful. Back to a little house-walking this afternoon, but nothing strenuous. I walked 2 miles on Saturday with my neighbor on our paved road, and anymore I generally feel it a day or two after, no matter what shoes I wear.

Michelle in NV: A sister in law who cooks for you! That is terrific!
Vicki: A card shower! That is a great idea!
Heather: I know you are worried about your legs. I hope you can get a diagnosis and plan of care soon.
The Editor of the Hovarian asked some good questions. I am trying to determine what I want to do with letters and cards and pictures DH saved from his EX's. Mine I think have been slowly tossed over the years.
Ginny: Good luck with dental work
Annie: Teddy sounds wonderful. Another idea might be to be an optician. I have never looked into that but they sit.
Lisa: Now you have me thinking about finding someone 9 years younger ! My DH was 15 years older!
Lanette: A boyfriend I thought I might marry in my 20's passed several years ago from FTD. So at this point i would be a widow even if that had worked out. I feel settled that i was destined to be a widow at this time.
April: My thoughts and prayers for you and your family and especially your son. I am so glad he is coming closer to you.
Allie: Prayers for Tracy and your family.
Michele: Resting by the pool sounds wonderful. I did sit in the Adirondak chair for a bit.
Tracey: My grand dog sleeps beside me. He is really a big bear! Black lab!
Machka: I like the picture of your husband playing hockey. My brothers played street hockey in front of our house for years.
Betsy from NW Washington : My thoughts are with you as you complete year 2 as a widow. Hoping the next year goes well for you and your family.
Margaret Turk: Your post was informative! I am on the computer maybe 4 hours a day, but in front of the tv not so much!
Kylia: Glad your DH was feeling better and able to walk with you!
RVRita: I have the same frustration about travel. To me seeing family and being on vacation are 2 different things. It is difficult to stretch the budget all the way around. In September we are going to a wedding in MA but I am probably not going to see my high school girl friends. They would want me to but the travel is tiring to me. Now the evening after my DH's funeral 3 of them traveled about 50 minutes to have dinner with me at the hotel. So you can see I feel as if I should see them. I will always appreciate that they they came. And there are at least 6 or 7 other weddings that will probably happen in MA.
Terri: I like the card. Gret that your husband is interested in bird watching.
Beth: My condolences on the the loss of your son. I wasn't part of this blog at that time. I hope your Mom is okay. I am so excited for you about the cochlear implants.
Carol: I seldom drive on the drive on the high way now. This limits my travel unless my son is with me.
I really crave taking the back roads to St Simons and sitting by the pier and watching the sun set as the people gather there. I might take a spontaneous trip this Spring and do that. I don't think I will see Europe unless on a Viking cruise...Standing in long lines to get into the tourtist sights doesn't interest me.
Tina: Glad the migraine resolved. It will be fun to know what you will do this year on your vacation. I am booked for a wedding in MA and then have an air bnb booked in Bar Harbor for 2 nights to see Arcadia National Park. But it is a 6 hour drive from MA and I think I will cancel and maybe do something closer to MA.
I do miss Anthony Bourdain in the world. Someone had a quote by him. I am feeling much better than I was last week. I love having the dog. I love that the days are warmer and the evenings have more light.
Looking forward to Spring!
Best,
Rosemarie from GA

Rita, congratulations on finding your watch!
April, I’m glad your son is making progress and can be moved closer to you.
I’ve been reading but haven’t had much time to post. I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflection for Lent and it has been leading me down a different path. I have a mindset Zoom in 20 minutes, but I will eventually catch y’all up on what I’ve been reading and doing.
I actually logged my food today and got my steps. Small wins!7 -
Did a Tracey Long DVD today. The plan for tomorrow is to do an Extreme Strength DVD.
After the Y went to WalMart then home to put the groceries away. Then went to the church's thrift store. One of the things I got was a vase. I have a coupon for a free boquet of flowers from Publix so I'll probably get them and give them to the Y. I was getting ready to go in the pool and REALLY hit my leg against the bed in the other bedroom. Blood everywhere. Thank goodness MIL had hydrogen peroxide in the condo. That happened around noon and it’s still oozing, not blood but a light liquid. Laid out by the pool, but it’s still oozing
Kylia – glad your dh joined you on your walk. Hope Vince goes with me this year. After dinner tonight it was light enough we could have walked across the street and had ice cream. Oh well...another day
Annie – good for you ordering those books
Ordered a waterpik today. I could have sworn I had one down here but for the life of me I can’t find it.
Just got an email that Newcomers is having a “going away” dinner for this guy who was on bowling and his wife. They’re moving to FL, near us. We’re seriously thinking about not rejoining. Honestly, at this point there really isn’t much we do with them. A pool party, but really a lot of people don’t know who we are. Everything is “at the airport” and I’m not crazy about that place, too “yukky” to me. We do the bowling, but at first a lot of people come but it’s a bit dishartening when you go to a lot of work and no one (or very few) show up. Vince said that a lot of the “old” group who went shooting aren’t coming. I’m out of Rummikub (now they’re having it “at the airport”), no longer hosting. So what do we really do?
Beth - Hugs and more Hugs
Rita – Yipppeee!
Think I’ll probably take a short walk around the parking lot since it’s getting dark then maybe work on the tree skirt for Jess
Trying to place an order for ceramics, but the lady hasn’t called me back. Also trying to get in touch with the guy who remodeled my neighbor’s bathroom for a quote, but so far no success.
Michele who will walk the parking lot

Rita I am so happy to hear that you found your watch. 😀🌞🌻🌼1

Rita-congrats on watch!
Heather-nice profile of you.
Kylia-glad DH walked-that is an accomplishment. Your travel plans sound good. I retire end of year-you have time to figure work out and someone to check on DH-we fly out of Columbus. Maybe April in Paris!
Allie-you are correct-you just have to turn the situation over.
Rosemarie-I miss Anthony Bourdain also. But I will admit I like Johnny Depp's Dior commercial!
Lisa-Drug costs are outrageous. I think it is horrible people are denied something due to that (especially with a serious health issue). I often wonder how many of the drugs are developed with government money in the pot somewhere.
Annie-absolutely can't hurt checking out the pharmacy tech path. They are definitely in demand everywhere.
Dr Katie-small wins are still wins!
Met new Primary care doctor. She went through my whole history with me. Made a couple of suggestions to cut back on a couple of vitamins. Seems very thorough and sensible. They also have a nurse practitioner for basic care if doctor has no opening.
Meetings went well today. Go to dentist at 7:15 to start implant process. I believe he is putting post in tomorrow (don't remember any bone graft talk). I didn't ask if a temporary crown will be put in or not. Guess I'll know tomorrow!.
Going to do quick walk in house to get my move time and exercise goal met for the day.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

Trying to get my "peace" back this evening. I just didn't do anything right today according to DH! Grumbling.....if he keeps it up he can stay home and I will enjoy my time in Maryland! Just saying.....
Chiropractor worked on my back so it is tender tonight. He also worked on DH'S back and hip. Also gave him an exercise to do. Hopefully can clear his up.
Tina I am glad your migraine went away. They truly suck!
Allie Hugs for you and your family.
Rosemarie I miss my dogs, but just don't have the time or energy for one in my life. I am seriously considering a cat though. Maybe....
I think dinner may be ready. Just baked chicken boneless breasts with seasoning, baked potato, and frozen green beans. Not bad. DH inhaled his!
Ginny That would be wonderful! Oh but what a dream! I just finished walking around house for exercise time and got over step goal. I was busy today at work.
Rita YAY!!!! Glad the watch found!!!!
Speaking of work......need to get something done.....or I may just go cross stitch for a short while before bed and work in the morning.
Much love, many hugs, and lots of high fives!
Thank you all for sharing your journeys.
Kylia in Ohio hoping to not get a migraine with the next system coming in tomorrow.4 -
I haven't read the posts, but I wanted to get this down since I'm feeling so crappy. I've done nothing but snack all day. There's nothing in the house to eat, yet I have found graham crackers, cheese, and more. What a bad day. I'm currently changing over from one depression medication to another, and the change over has thrown me for a loop. I'm still not sure it's working right, and all I want to do is eat. Hubby went shopping for groceries after work, and he's still not home yet. He can be part of my control sometimes, and without him, I get into every everything. The kids are no help; they just want to help me make crazy stuff. I hope he gets home soon. I really am looking forward to the PLANNED dinner. I would just not eat dinner, but I have to make it for everyone else and that seems too much like a spanking. Oh well, that's my day, sorry for dumping.
I will go back and read now and post now. Thanks for listening to my rant.
Michelle in NV9 -
Michelle from NV: Sounds like a tough day! I hope your husband gets home soon. Probably best to eat dinner to get your protein in and then exercise a little more tomorrow! I ate 4 fudge bars today! 100 calories a piece! In a way I think it was worth it. I really enjoyed them!
Best,
Rosemarie from GA5 -

Rita Yay for the watch!
Teddy had a vet appointment today. The good news is no dental this time. The bad news is that he has a heart murmur. So they will think twice about doing his teeth in the future. He is thirteen and I hope he lives many more years, but I have to be realistic.
Does anybody use those water additives for dog teeth? Or know anything else that helps? He won't chew rawhide anymore.

SophieRosieMom wrote: »Terri - thank you for the tip on how to find posts. It's quick and easy. Sorry to hear about your DH's birdwatching friend. So thoughtful of your DH and his friend to take this fella out for the day.
Rita - have you decided what to do about going back east?
Margaret - thank you for sharing that interesting information presented in the Vitality Summit. We sure live in a different world now than when we were kids. I try to eat organically, and avoid ultra processed food as much as I can. Sometimes it's really hard with availability and expense, but I've settled on "80% clean" and not stress about it if I have the occasional sugary treat or salad dressing made with seed oils, another no-no according to some research.
I saw the harmful effects of many medications, and more medications prescribed to offset the side effects of the first round during my DH's health struggle. I'm pretty sure that and his junk food diet hastened his dementia and death. I'm trying hard not to go down that path. I agree that being around positive, happy and energetic people is very beneficial for our own health. I liked your list of what you can do to avoid things that can adversely affect our health. Being aware is the first step. Please keep sharing what you learn.
Annie - so sorry to hear about your aunt, and glad you are close by. Is she your dad's or your mom's sister? Good job on the bike and walking.
Debbie - wow, your DH had great sales at the convention, I can see why he was hyped up. Might be good in the long run to help lift him out of his depression? Crossing fingers.
April - the "Weekly Check-in" is for anyone who wants to be included in a weekly post to document whatever they want to in a central place. Some like to report weight, and/or challenges they are dealing with. It's just a kind of bulletin board I guess. Not mandatory, some find it helpful to share their info once a week or less often. It's been expanded to include what we're celebrating and what we're navigating as far as health related topics if some want to use that route. To be added, you and I need to be "friends" then you can message me directly thru MFP. I just sent you a friend request in case you ever wish to be included.
Make it a wonderful week.

It was a beautiful day here in southern Indiana, with a high of 75. I think we may have actually broken a record high!
Machka - Thank you. I’m sorry the same thing happened to your husband, but I’m very happy to hear he survived and is still with you. I don’t know if my son will ever make a “Full” recovery, but I’m praying hard that he will at least come all the way out of his coma, be able to sit up on his own, and talk to me again. Thank you for your encouragement. 🤗
Lanette, Barbie, Annie, Michele, Kim, Tracey, Machka, Heather, Barbara, Terri, Lisa, KJ, Betsy, Margaret, Kylia, Joy, Evelyn, Vicki, and drkatiebug - I know I said it before, but thank you all so much for your words of encouragement, well wishes, and prayers. I’ve reread them several times and they are needed and appreciated.
Annie - Sorry to hear about your aunt. A bowel obstruction can become serious quickly. Hope she has a fast recovery. - They are moving my son bright and early tomorrow morning. Then I have to go to the nursing home to fill out all of the paperwork involved in admitting someone into a home. I can’t wait to see him!
Margaret - Thank you for the suggestion of downloading some healing music for my son. Whenever he was anxious or stressed before the accident, I remember him playing calming music to help center himself. I’ve already downloaded a couple, and am looking for more. - Have you heard of Nounos yogurt? They have plain yogurt that comes in small glass jars. If you check out their website, they have a store locator to see if one is near you. Stores like Walmart and Kroger also carry yogurt in glass jars called Oui. I’m not sure how healthy they are for you though, because all the ones I’ve seen have been flavored. I make my own in my InstantPot and love it.
Kylia - Ouch on the cut finger. Be careful it doesn’t get infected.
Rita - I’m pretty much following the same type of diet as you, so it’s encouraging to hear how your health keeps improving. It gives me hope. 🙌 And congrats on finding your watch!
Heather - I’m sorry, it is so frustrating when the doctor’s can’t figure out what is wrong with us. With all the new health issues that keep popping up, it doesn’t surprise me. I seriously think with all the pesticides they spray on our produce, the growth hormones they give the animals to make them grow faster, and the additives and preservatives they add to prepared foods…. Our bodies don’t know what to do with it, and are causing all these new health problems that doctors have never seen before.
Michele - Another crocheter! So nice to see others in the group who enjoy the same hobby as me. - OUCH on the leg injury! You must have gotten a pretty bad gash for it to still be oozing.
Lisa, Barbie, Machka, Ginny, Kylia, and Tina - You all have certainly been on your share of travels it seems! I’m the complete opposite, I’m a homebody. My husband loves to travel though, so since I love him so much, I do travel with him in our RV. I’m always so happy when we get back home though!
Allie - praying for Tracey to have a safe pregnancy.
Beth - Sorry about your son’s passing. No matter how long it’s been, it’s not easy. (((hugs)))
Tina - Glad your migraine is finally gone.
Betsy - My thoughts are with you. I can’t imagine the grief you’ve gone through these last 2 years.
Michelle - I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble adjusting to your new medication. It took my doctor over a YEAR to find the right medication for me for my depression, as well as the dosage. Hang in there!
Was busy today with grocery shopping, and talking on the phone with the nursing home my son will be staying at, off and on all day. Going to bed early tonight, (for me) to hopefully be well rested for tomorrows travels. Sorry if I missed anyone.
