Hello, Kimbers! welcome to Mikey's blog! I love the dose of inspo I find here whenever I visit, I hope you do as well :). I absolutely love your nic, that's a dose of inspo right there! @KimbersNewLife

Looking good there, Inter! I hit the gym for my two weights circuits yesterday (upper/core, and lower). Yesterday's workout went longer, 1h 1m. Not sure why, bc I didn't have to wait for the machines yesterday. Well, except for one of them (the lat pulldown), but that was only a minute+ or so. I guess I must have been holding the motions for longer time. If so, it wasn't intentional. Slow reps are good reps tho, the trainer said that's how you build muscle, not by fast, jerky reps with the machines. So I guess it's ok/maybe good, that it took longer? 🤷‍♀️

I feel like I'm really turning a page with the ST sesh's. I'm actually starting to look forward to them, rather than fighting myself the whole way, just to show up and get it done. Moving up from 40 lbs to 60 lbs (80 lbs on the leg press) really seems to have given me a new perspective. It's working! Even if it doesn't seem like it is :p.

    Happy Friday, y'all ! Cheers, ~ mk :)

Great effort Mkk, I find that even though it doesn't always show up physically, the psychological benefits of a workout really makes a positive change in attitude and positivity. Good on ya!

ty, luvvie !! Yea, feeling good. I was just catching up on another group, and I typed this:

You guysssss, it's Saturday. AND IT'S NOT FREAKING RAINING!! Seventeen straight rainy Saturdays in a row - curse/streak broken !

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO !! The rain that has been battering my spirits is gone! :p

On deck today, 45 mins of PTEs (Physical Therapy Exercises). Maybe PF (Planet Fitness) for a cardio bike ride, but maybe not! I have that pencilled in for today or tomorrow, I might do it tomorrow. Saturday 'Power Hour' jammin and movin (clean litter boxes, swish & swipe potty & sink, two 15s of focused cleaning / decluttering (working on the bathroom the past few days), and lol (load of laundry) thru the dryer and folded. Started doing the 'Power Hour' theme on Wednesday, liking it! My bathroom clutter is slowly disappearing :D.

    Happy Saturday, Mikey's crew ! Cheers, ~ mk :)

another tic downward on the scale! don't know how though, there was a goody day at work, pretty sure I ate my weight in treats. ohh maybe I needed a high calorie day to make it happen. i couldn't log everything I ate way too much sugar fat carbs. dropped 2000 steps less a day too.

It has been cold here the last couple days. rn its 60 in the house, I have already shut the gas off to the furnace, so dont want to turn it back on. weather channel says it is going to warm back up to the 90's . I'm gonna roast after this cool down.

Ya, cool today here too, walkin. And ya, the roast is coming!

PTEs routine on the agenda today. Yesterday's was down to 38 minutes, and Tuesday's to 39 minutes, from the more typical 45 mins plus! Those lateral and forward stepdowns, and Reverse Lunges aren't the complete terror they had been (tho I am totally using a walking stick to take some of the pressure off my knees on those moves, so there is that!). And PF for an indoor cicling ride. And a stop at the grocery store to pick up a grocery order for an infirm neighbor.

Rain today. The heatwave is going to hit us up here in Maine on Tuesday tho, so I guess I won't moan and groan about another rainy day :p. We had SEVENTEEN rainy Saturdays in a row! until yesterday - broke the streak. But Mother Nature is laughing and raining on Sunday this week ;-).

    Cheers! ~ mk :)

That does sound like fun night, walkin'! I got visco gel injections in my knees on Tues. 2nd of 3 in left, 1st of 3 in right. They never bothered me after injections before, but this time the knees were weird yesterday, and the day before, both! Feeling un-weird today :). Might hit PF, we'll see.

BTW …. did go to PF on Sunday, and so glad I did!! This is from a post in another group:

My Sunday (from a post in another group), sharing some NSV euphoria! ~

Hello, Happy Sunday ! Just back from PF, closed it down tonight, lol.

I had a GREAT workout! I don't think I've ever felt so good after a workout before! Everything just worked ! I've been doing lateral and forward lunges on double-stacked weights plates, b/c steps are too high (I was almost in tears at the end, and it was taking up to 10 minutes to do 20 reps each exercise, each leg…). So, the lower height was helping, but it was still heavily assisted by holding onto a window sill. WELL! Today it only took 3 mins for those exercises AND I did them unassisted for the first time! yesss ….

THEN, on the abductor machine, I only just moved up to 60 lbs from 40 lbs in June. Well, the person before me had it set to 70 lbs, and I didn't realize it at first, but once I did, I just continued away. Got those 2 sets of 15 reps done, baybee!

And then, after that!, I got on the indoor bike. I wasn't even sure I was going to do a cardio sesh, too, but I did. Got 5.02 miles in 24:02 mins! Best time yet!

Yesssss. It all just worked! and I feel great!!

I hope everyone has a good July 4th long weekend! I was able to maintain a balanced diet, and kept somewhat active with the limitations of my shoulder. I am still running a little under my goal weight, but at least holding steady and I am still within a healthy range. Have a great week everyone!

    Goal Weight: 185

Average weight for this week, Jul 1- Jul 7: 177.0 BMI: 22.7

Average weight for last week, Jun 24- Jun 30: 178.0 BMI: 22.8

Average weight for past month, Jun 10- Jul 7: 178.0 BMI: 22.8

    Average weight for past year, Jul 9, 2024- Jul 7, 2025: 192.0 BMI: 24.6

Thats good progress interbeing. Lunges are no joke either mkksemail, nice one.

Sorry I'm dropping in and out again. The thread was meant as my accountability partner and you all actually made it the place for me to come and drop in and catch up on all the great things you are doing.

Ive travelled again this week but as its only one night, I decided to try bringing only my rucksack, small change of clothes and toiletries, its worked well and I don't feel like I have to lug my case around with me. Long day today though, was a 3.30 am start yesterday for the flight, then a day in the office. Day in the office today and then a trip back for a 10pm flight, not sure yet what to do with myself later for Dinner, the airport is 90 mins or so away.

My gym has reopened and I really need to either get in there or do some training at home. That's my focus over the next few days, do some proper exercise.

In other mindblowing news, I got a Mazda hire car yesterday and it's got one of those dashboard/windscreen projection things where I can see the speedo etc on the windscreen. I'm not convinced, I've been driving 30 odd years now and I just kept looking at the dash anyway

mkksemial, good job on the workout, ya I should grab u and go for the walk, got it 3 miles yesterday morning, no mountains, just around part of my town. I like the various houses, from being built to ones that are like 1920 ish. Might do that again today.
Way to go interbeing, maintaining the weight loss!

hey mikey bout time u get back here, u sound like u been workin, travelin working some more! I haven't had a car with the speed projection yet. I'm driving the car I bought in 2009 and it has very low miles. I really thought I would drive more but it hasn't happened yet.

Yayyy, mikey's back ! We missed you, buddy. I like your philosophical Daily Stoic drops and ruminating. Time for another! :D cooool on the drive data being projected on the windscreen! I haven't seen that yet, lol I'd still be looking at the dash, too ;-).

How is the shoulder coming, inter? Is it difficult to put the weight back on that you want to? (Wild to try to wrap my head around that version of a weight problem, not gonna lie, heh).

walkin, that walk sounds lovely. I'm in the end-stretch of resting my knee for 24-48 hrs post-injection. Not sure if I'll go for a workout late this afternoon, or wait until tomorrow morning. We'll see.

Keep on keepin' on, folks ! Lovely to 'see' your smiling keyboard, mikey!

@mkksemail My shoulder is coming along and improving a little bit every day. And yes, my weight issues have been reversed and I have seemingly reached hemostasis at closer to 180 than my goal weight of 185. I am okay with that and feel that it will begin to stabilize closer to the 185 mark as I increase my muscle mass. It’s a problem that I also had when I was biking large distances and is why I moved to HIIT cycling routines during the week as logging 650+ miles a month chewed through thousands of extra calories a month and made it hard for me to keep my weight up.
