I’m home, got in late last night. Enjoyed a 4-day visit with family in Nevada City, CA. Shopping for 2 of those days with my DIL and 3 GDs. 💞 Also took a break from tracking nutrition So thrilled with my weigh in 😁

Sherri from Salmon Arm, BC. 61 years old and 5" 2". Weigh in will be Tuesdays.
I need to track my food and find a exercise program I can do at home. Preferably not to intense as I have osteoarthritis in my knees and lower back.
If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear from you.

Hi everyone
I'm following on from the previous challenge. I missed the last few weeks because I was travelling across Europe (from the UK). We had a great time for 7 weeks, I had no scales and didn't try to track my food, but it's back to it now.
These are my previous stats:
Weigh in from this morning
Feb 5: 168.8 lbs
Feb 12: 165 lbs
Feb 19: 166 lbs
Feb 26: 166.8 lbs
Mar 4: 163.2 lbs
Mar 11: 161.8 lbs
Mar 18: 158.6 lbs
Mar 25: 157.6 lbs
Apr 1: 157.2 lbs
Apr 5: 155.8 lb2
Total lost this week = 1.4 lbs
Total lost overall = 13 lbs
And today: 159.6 lbs
So 3.8lbs gained on holiday, not too bad.
Total gained this week = 3.8 lbs
Total lost overall = 9.2 lbs
Its good to be back!

Hi everyone,
@RubyRed427 thanks for posting another challenge, and bringing all of us together.
I have a different case. I have severe food allergies (gluten, dairy, all things packaged/ processed). So, eating outside food triggers many of these and makes me bloated and the scale can move a pound or two in a day. Then, there are foods (fruits, vegetables, green juice- all plant-based food) that work like a miracle and the scale moves in the opposite direction.
Food is the problem, food is the cure.
So, I gave myself a "3 days homemade food" challenge and succeeded in that. I also lost some water weight due to this healthy eating.
Now I'm on to my next personal challenge (which inspired me to join this group again). Eating only whole, natural food. I joined a plant-based diet course, learned how to prepare such meals, what and how much I should eat every day, which helped me a lot.
Today is the first day of my own "challenge. I know I'm going to lose weight if I follow this diet, but this is not for everyone, it's triggered by my specific health concerns.
Sharing it here so it might inspire people to eat more fruits and vegetables
Also, I think giving ourselves, smaller "3 day challenges" could be a good for forming new habits. Inspired by atomic habits -:)
Please share your own experiences if you overcame any food habit in small chunks.
Thank you and wish everyone success in their quest.7 -

Hi, My name’s Darin and I live in Holly Springs NC with my husband and two cats. I have a mini-family reunion in July which is part-pool party, so I want to feel a bit better about myself by then. I think 10 pounds down would be super! I’m going to weigh in on Wednesdays.

Up and down and up and down goes my weight.
I did log my food 5 out of 7 days.
I have not exercised this week but still met over 10,000 steps at work.
I tend to think that doesn't do much for me, unless I exercise and get my body moving and heart rate jumping.

I just signed up for a Pilates class! I'm excited. I need to spice things up and try new things. I have never tried Pilates before. It's time.9

Thank you, @RubyRed427 !
I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired, however...we watch our Grandsons during the week. Collin is 18 months and is our Morning Duty. Ronan is in 2nd Grade and is our Afternoon Duty.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out. The boys can be exhausting...

@RubyRed427 Love pilates! I have never been to a class but do it at home. These days I have to do standing pilates but I find it amazing how much I can feel it, especially in my lower body, the next day.6

Thank you Ruby for doing this challenge.
Just home from a brief holiday where I visited many friends, and all except one are much thinner and fitter than I am. Became very aware of being ‘heavy’, esp for my 5’1”.
I’m so happy I found this challenge group. Sorry I'm late joining but need an 'official' restart point.
These past months have been disasterous; weight has crept up, struggling with arthritic issues in ankle and foot preventing me from nature walks which is a favorite exercise. I've fallen into the rut of been looking back, missing recreation options of 'where we used to live'. I have to start looking forward and building new habits, using home equip and build a routine.
Present weight is 177ish, goals are to lose in 5# increments to 155, but to shed 30 pounds would be heavenly. I'm a senior who still works part time. Some days it's a struggle, fatigue becomes an issue, but the rewards of assisting and helping older seniors outweigh the negatives. I'd be quite lost without this contact.
Late starting this Challenge so dates adjusted to Fridays.
