Hi! Didn’t give a few details last time…early 60’s, 5’4”, tired of going up and down a bit (all the time!) weight-wise:
8-1. 149.5 lbs
8-8. 147.2 lbs
Good luck, everyone!9 -
Hello! I got ahead of myself and weighed on Monday instead of today. 🤦♀️
Being in the challenge helped me to make better choices this week. I made it to the gym for a strength training class on Monday and Wednesday (I plan to go MWF), and tracked my food five days (aiming for 7 next week).
Hope everyone had a good first week. Let’s do this! 😊

Thank you, @RubyRed427 !
I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired, however...we watch our Grandsons during the week. Collin is 18 months and is our Morning Duty. Ronan is in 2nd Grade and is our Afternoon Duty.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out. The boys can be exhausting...

I had an appointment with an orthopedist today. It is confirmed that I have osteoarthritis as well as rheumatoid arthritis. I got a corticosteroid injection and will get an x-ray tomorrow.
Me: 53 year old female, have had RA for 22 years (taken off meds in March and have had multiple pains and swelling since May). I'm looking forward to getting the pain managed again so that I can be as 'normal' as before and get back to exercising, walking and eating properly - my jaws are sore and it's difficult to eat, thankfully, my apatite is low as well. I expect some weight gain and having to manage the balancing act of calories in and calories out.
Have a good week!9 -
Looking forward to this challenge, it’s what I need right now, refocus, recommit,

A big gain last week. I was doing a long distance walk, 72 miles over 6 days. No tracking calories, but eating big breakfasts in hotels, eating out at night, lots of carbs and snacks, and it shows! But we had a great time, great weather, back to tracking now, hoping to be 147 pounds by the next holiday in September.8 -
@Emkaygirl1 Hi, you were asking about my walking holiday on the north East Coast of England, we're back now, we had such a good time. It was very tiring, 12 miles a day average. And I gained a few pounds!
I was trying to insert a photo but can't work it out how to do it Oh well, it's a beautiful area of the country, gorgeous beaches and sand dunes.
Back to tracking calories now4 -

8/1 185.6
8/12 184.5
Went to the beach in S.C. for vacation; we were impacted by the tropical storm, so it rained solid for 4 days. Luckily, we still had fun.
I did walk consistently each day (even in the rain) on the beach.
It's funny how just accepting reality is really freeing. Sure, we were bummed to be on a beach vacation, but we said "Oh well". Let's have fun anyway!

Hi, I realise we're halfway through August, but could I join this challenge? I'm looking to be more accountable and lose 10+ lb! I'm recognising a few names on here, from previous challenges, so I'd be interested in joining! 😁8

@walkintofit I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I am also a widow and was a caretaker of my hubby until he passed. I know how difficult that is. Now it is time for us to focus on ourselves and our own health journey. I look forward to sharing the journey with you!6 -

08/01-188.6-(Trend Weight: 190.2)-
08/06-189.2-(Trend Weight: 189.6)- Lots of travel this week so my weight keeps popping up and down. Better when I’m home, worse when I’m stuck in a car or a waiting room for hours, and eating at restaurants too. My trend weight more tells the story since there have been good days in-between. I am trying to take advantage of the days at home as best as I can. I could really use more exercise though and am finding it unusually tough since I’m so tired out. However, I would love to make August one of the good months so I need to get off my can!
08/13-190.6-(Trend Weight: 189.8)- This has been a very difficult and bad month for me so far - filled with travel and lack of exercise. Tomorrow is my family doctor appointment for me and my son also. The doctor will be very disappointed with my scale reading but not nearly as disappointed as I am. Today will be another busy day with my work crew. I am helping on a project but its all sitting and no steps. Otherwise, it’s great progress on the remodeling front. The outside projects are moving along nicely. I can’t do much about the lack of exercise right now, but there is no excuse for not watching the calories and carbs. Gotta get back in the groove and not let the chaos of the renovations derail me.

I am late to the party this month but I am here now and thank you, Ruby Red, for continuing this challenge. I was on Wegovy last year and lost 22 lbs. I went off it a year ago and I have regained 10 lbs so I am taking my butt back to the gym and eating better. I will weigh in on Tuesdays.

My birthday is in September, almost 1 month away so that is super motivating. I would like to lose 8.2 lbs by then and then maybe 5 more but I would be thrilled to lose a total of 10.
Good luck to everyone! We are here, we are showing up, we care about this, and that is half the battle. Onward!7 -
@RubyRed427 thank you, it has been tough. Working on dialing the food and exercise in. Hope to get to goal this challenge.
@deepwoodslady thank you. I did caretaking of hubby till he passed. Did have hospice for 6 months. he was in tremendous pain until they got it under control. So here we are trying to get ourselves back under control.5 -

A friend reminded my of MFP - and seeing that my weight is creeping up, I thought I would give it go...again! My aims are to walk at least 10,000 steps a day and to reduce my carbohydrate intake.
I weigh in on Thursdays.
