The number is up a bit, but I’m happy with the work I put in this week. Tracked and exercised every day. Old me would have looked at the up as failure. New me is looking at this as a lifestyle change.

It was a good week, I met my goals and the scale reflected my progress. This week I have the same goals, 3 strength workouts and 5 hours of walking. My diet was great this week so I'm sticking to it for next week: I stuck to whole foods and increased my protein. Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy with progress this week! Focused on getting a good nights sleep and incorporating exercise! Didn’t manage to actively exercise every day but I definitely upped the exercise minutes in the last week!
Going to get back to tracking next week - was doing well in July but seemed to have stepped back a bit in August! Have been planning my meals but not tracking so need to focus on that for the rest of the month.
Have not been very interactive on the thread but hope to improve on that also over the coming weeks!

I started walking every day and added 1 lb hand weights..2 lbs total. You would think that is so little but wow, it has made a difference in how much harder I am actually working. I may look ridiculous walking down the street, pressing them over my head or in front of me, but who cares? I also put both in one hand and do some bicep curls. I am definitely breathing harder than when I was just walking.10

That's a great idea!! I have also seen people with weighted vests walking but I would prefer the hand weights so you can get an arm workout! Thanks for sharing!4 -

I have been above this sometimes for the last month so I am pleased. I want to lose AND KEEP OFF 1 more lb to start Sept at 155 or less.
I said I added hand weights to my walk and man, was I sore yesterday and today. Apparently there are some muscles I haven't been using

08/13-190.6-(Trend Weight: 189.8)- This has been a very difficult and bad month for me so far - filled with travel and lack of exercise. Tomorrow is my family doctor appointment for me and my son also. The doctor will be very disappointed with my scale reading but not nearly as disappointed as I am. Today will be another busy day with my work crew. I am helping on a project but its all sitting and no steps. Otherwise, it’s great progress on the remodeling front. The outside projects are moving along nicely. I can’t do much about the lack of exercise right now, but there is no excuse for not watching the calories and carbs. Gotta get back in the groove and not let the chaos of the renovations derail me.
08/20-189.4-(Trend Weight: 190.9)- I made homemade jalepeno poppers last night for dinner at 9:30 pm. They were so rich with the cream cheese that I couldn’t snack later except for a square of 70% dark chocolate hours later. I ate the number of poppers that I usually do, but it seemed too much this time. Next time I will make less, so I call that a NSV. I stayed within all my macros. I released a lot of water too, but why does it have to happen in the middle of the night? Sleep was still more hours than usual even though constantly disrupted. I’m feeling hopeful today after this scale drop. I also feel like I know where I really am on the scale without the bloat in my ankles. I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm and used the extra time to do a youtube video workout. Yay me when I do the right things!

I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired, however...we watch our Grandsons during the week. Collin is 18 months and is our Morning Duty. Ronan is in 2nd Grade and is our Afternoon Duty.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out. The boys can be exhausting...

My name is Nikki, and I'm 5'4" (on a good day!). I'm based on the south coast in the UK. I'm in my 50s and work full time as a teacher. I'm pretty active - but there's always room for some more. A friend reminded me of MFP - and seeing that my weight is creeping up, I thought I would give it go...again! My aims are to walk at least 10,000 steps a day and to reduce my carbohydrate intake.
My CW (15 Aug) is 148
My GW is 133
My UGW is 126 - although that is very optimistic!

I have been mindful of how many starchy carbohydrates I eat and trying to eat less - this seems to be working well. I have been tracking my meals and exercising more - using every excuse to walk a few more steps. Does anyone have any recommendations on upping the amount of protein?
