    This morning the COVID test line took longer to appear and is fainter than before - online information from CDC states that this means the level of virus is decreasing - yay!

    I am not running a temperature but I still have some congestion and a partially blocked right ear, but otherwise I'm okay.

    On the plus side, I am losing a little weight. (Hope I can keep it off!)

    12/14-191.8-(Trend Weight 193.3)- I have no idea why there was such a bug whoosh today. I am questioning the scale reading and wish I would have weighed in a second place or with my second scale. Especially when I questioned it just the other day for a large drop. DGS had me hopping at the time so I’m stuck with just one reading. I’ll take the weight as a win today but will eagerly wait to see what happens tomorrow. Even though my goal is to lose ANYTHING per round, my micro mini personal goal is to stop focusing on the big picture and focus on just 5 pounds at a time. I think I was at 193.6 when I started focusing on this current 5 pounds. I need to land at 188.6. 3.2 lbs to go if the scale is accurate. T-Minus 1.8 lbs gone (I hope).

    12/15-191.4-(Trend Weight 193.1)- Yay! The whoosh yesterday was real. Checked and double-checked. T-Minus 2.2 lbs. 2.8 lbs to go on my mini goal of 5 lbs in no set time frame. I’m in a wrapping frenzy and hope to get a lot more done today. A new contractor is coming in the morning for some tile work. A female which is unusual around this very small town. She will work in conjunction with my current contractor who doesn’t have a tile guy at the moment. I anticipate jealousy by my 1st contractor as she will be working around and behind his work (plumbing, drywall etc.). He has a lot of pride but is not as picky as she is. Pride goeth before a fall. I hope he will mind his manners!

    @Walela617 thank you. I’m very run down from the trip to Sydney . It was a week ago but that’s fibromyalgia for you. The cardiologist is just to check up on my youngest (17yrs) because he has a bicuspid valve instead of tricuspid so 2 instead of 3 - got to monitor the valves as they are slightly leaking.

    @iLive2Walk chronic illness sucks. But I should be used to it. I’m run down and now off to the Gold Coast for a few days. Hopefully my son’s heart isn’t leaking too much. He only has 2 valves instead of 3 so they wear out quicker and begin to leak.

    Hi Donna @deepwoodslady, So glad your "Whoosh" was real! You earned it. Over time the weight loss seems kind of like stairs. You drop, then stay the same, then drop again (sometimes it looks like we forgot something and start to go back UPstairs!) but if we keep at it, we start going down again. Often when I go up a bit after really being careful, it's right before a bigger drop.

    @ozdeelite, that valve leaking with your youngest son sounds scary! I hope it gets fixed soon!πŸ™

    Even though I was under my calorie range I expected this increase (and more). Ate cookies and cookie dough for lunch! Probably underestimated how many calories I consumed! Didn't meet my step goal - first time in forever. My knee was a little sore yesterday so didn't want to push it. We did take Monty for a short walk, then I got an upper body strength workout and a stretch workout done. Today Greg's truck goes in the shop for a recall - going to drop it off and then we found a park to walk while we wait for it to be done. Tonight is bingo night with Mom and our Bingo Christmas party. They serve us dinner - spaghetti with Meatballs. Will have a light breakfast and lunch today to make up for it - and of course there will be desert and goodies on the table! Hoping to be strong!

    SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH

    12/16-190.8-(Trend Weight 192.8)- Wow what a busy week this is going to be. New female contractor here today which upset the old contractor so he won’t come until she’s done with the tile work in the bathroom! Insecure baby! Tuesday is the Christmas concert for the DGS I babysit which is local. Wed is general diabetes doctor appt for son & I just one town over so that won’t be more than a couple of hours. We have completely different clocks here in these small rural towns and the hands move much slower than regular clocks lol. Friday is an 8 hour round trip down to Ann Arbor Michigan for my oldest daughter’s Mammogram. We’ll be leaving at about 6 am. Saturday is DGS #3’s birthday. He is the one that is autistic like my son, and very hard to buy for but I happen to have a little experience in that department. In-between, the new contractor β€œRachel” will come as often as I can let her. I continue to wrap presents everyday trying to catch up. I also am wrapping all the new stuff as UPS or FedEx arrives. I was happy with the scale today. A little more progress. I ate a little less than I’d planned as I started gagging on my dinner. It was food within plan that I love but sometimes that happens with me for an unknown reason. I’ve always considered it part of my eating disorders. I ended up eating something else later that felt β€œsafe” and didn’t find I needed any snacks after that. T-Minus 2.8 lbs. 2.2 lbs to go on my mini goal of 5 lbs loss within no particular time frame.

Today Greg's truck goes in the shop for a recall - going to drop it off and then we found a park to walk while we wait for it to be done.     SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH

    12/16-190.8-(Trend Weight 192.8)- Wow what a busy week this is going to be. New female contractor here today which upset the old contractor so he won’t come until she’s done with the tile work in the bathroom! Insecure baby! Tuesday is the Christmas concert for the DGS I babysit which is local. Wed is general diabetes doctor appt for son & I just one town over so that won’t be more than a couple of hours. We have completely different clocks here in these small rural towns and the hands move much slower than regular clocks lol. Friday is an 8 hour round trip down to Ann Arbor Michigan for my oldest daughter’s Mammogram. We’ll be leaving at about 6 am. Saturday is DGS #3’s birthday. He is the one that is autistic like my son, and very hard to buy for but I happen to have a little experience in that department. In-between, the new contractor β€œRachel” will come as often as I can let her. I continue to wrap presents everyday trying to catch up. I also am wrapping all the new stuff as UPS or FedEx arrives. I was happy with the scale today. A little more progress. I ate a little less than I’d planned as I started gagging on my dinner. It was food within plan that I love but sometimes that happens with me for an unknown reason. I’ve always considered it part of my eating disorders. I ended up eating something else later that felt β€œsafe” and didn’t find I needed any snacks after that. T-Minus 2.8 lbs. 2.2 lbs to go on my mini goal of 5 lbs loss within no particular time frame.

    12/17-190.0-(Trend Weight 192.6)- I weighed in my normal spot and the weight was much lower than I trusted so I moved the scale over a bit and it was a little higher. With it differing the 1st spot I just didn’t trust it. I finally shook the lazies and went downstairs to the basement, on the cement, where I do feel the floor is more level and stable. I got the highest number of the three twice. It's not a direct comparison from yesterday but one that seems accurate so this is the one I’m posting today. I’ve put my scale on the charger even though it wasn’t dead yet. We’ll see what happens tomorrow in my normal (and usually reliable) spot. Otherwise, I’ll be starting each day with a flight of stairs which probably isn’t a bad idea anyway! Christmas concert tonight at the school. Doctor appointment tomorrow for diabetes check and general care at my PCP's. I’m not sure if my weight is up or down since my last appointment. I’ll have to research. T-Minus 3.6 lbs today. 1.4 lbs to go on my micro-mini goal.

    Even though I was under my calorie range I expected this increase (and more). Ate cookies and cookie dough for lunch! Probably underestimated how many calories I consumed!     12/17-190.0-(Trend Weight 192.6)- I weighed in my normal spot and the weight was much lower than I trusted so I moved the scale over a bit and it was a little higher. With it differing the 1st spot I just didn’t trust it. I finally shook the lazies and went downstairs to the basement, on the cement, where I do feel the floor is more level and stable. I got the highest number of the three twice. It's not a direct comparison from yesterday but one that seems accurate so this is the one I’m posting today. I’ve put my scale on the charger even though it wasn’t dead yet. We’ll see what happens tomorrow in my normal (and usually reliable) spot. Otherwise, I’ll be starting each day with a flight of stairs which probably isn’t a bad idea anyway! Christmas concert tonight at the school. Doctor appointment tomorrow for diabetes check and general care at my PCP's. I’m not sure if my weight is up or down since my last appointment. I’ll have to research. T-Minus 3.6 lbs today. 1.4 lbs to go on my micro-mini goal.

    12/18-190.6-(Trend Weight 192.4)- Spent last night self-sabotaging before my doctor appointment so my weight would be higher and I wouldn’t have to endure a compliment. I mean, why else would I do such a thing the evening before an important appointment? Or maybe I was just too close to a new decade in weight. Or maybe I was getting too close to my 5 lb goal. Ughhhh…. Anyway, they didn’t mention my weight which is strange because I’ve gained a lot this year. I came home and researched and on the day of my last appt (in Aug) I had already gained so much that my weight that today actually came in at EXACTLY the same as the last appt 190.6 so that explains it. Out to lunch earlier with my son afterward which is a tradition (so he’ll go to the doctor). Tomorrow’s scale will likely not be good. However, I’ll try to keep tomorrow a compliant day as I travel 8 hours round trip on Friday (plus the time for the dr appointment and some shopping) and there will be lunch and dinner out. This is where the weight gain begins for the Holidays for me. Starting today. I’ve really got to practice portion control to offset the choices! T-minus 3 lbs with 2 left to go.
