    Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I skipped this challenge for November and it was an epic fail. The first month since I started this journey that I gained weight. So I am back , probably for the rest of my life LOL!     @Walela617 @ozdeelite @deepwoodslady Thank you! This journey has been tough, one - but I made it. Slow and steady, never give up. Seems like yesterday that I started, seems like forever!

    @ozdeelite - Congrats on your loss this month, even though it is a holiday month - you did it.

    @walela617 - Just going to warn you, the last 10 pounds are the toughest. That's what made me call my goal weight at the top of the range. But keep trecking - slow and steady my friend. The good news for you, your last ten pounds starts at the beginning of the year - a clean fresh start always makes us more motivated!

    @deepwoodslady - I'm wondering if a new scale isn't in line for you. I can' imagine that it is too uplifting or motivating to here such nonsense from your scale. Artificial Intelligence is just that ARTIFICIAL! Listen to us instead - your persistence is amazing. With a fresh new year coming, get back to the mindset - beating one mini goal at a time! You CAN do it!

    Well, I did not reach my goal of checking in here daily. I went MIA on the 15th!!! I also did not reach my goal of logging daily. I did weigh almost daily and kept a record, so I added that above.

    Looking back at the month, I did have several interruptions working against me... December is not an easy month for me to be trying to lose weight to begin with, and this was a tough December. So there's that. In addition, I was not pre-logging. For me, that is the #1 key. If I can pre-log my whole day's food when I get up in the morning, that will work for me. I make everything from scratch, so that can throw me off a lot. I do enter my recipes in MFP, and that helps, but sometimes I just don't have the time to enter in a new recipe. It can seem tedious at times. But if I can make the time to enter in any new recipes, it makes a big difference. So, pre-logging will be a goal for January. With the Christmas food & cookies causing some extra bloat right now (wow my clothes are pretty tight in the waist!), I am looking forward to continuing to try to lose about 6 pounds.

    12/30-194.4-(Trend Weight 192.9)- ])- I ate at about Midnight last night after getting hungry and realizing I hadn’t had any dinner. My DD and DGS have been here the past few days and my DGS really keeps me busy. Heartburn today and I didn’t sleep well last night. I will have to re-train myself to be hungry at appropriate hours!

    12/31-192.6-(Trend Weight 192.9)- After a one day buffer following our weekend Christmas dinner and party, I landed at a 1.8 lb loss over yesterday. So this is where I start 2025, like it or not. I was definitely lower at the start of 2024. On my first mini 5 lbs goal I’m at T-Minus 0.8 lbs with 4.2 lbs left to go. I’m feeling pretty committed right now but it’s always easier to be when you are not hungry. I’m pawning off more of my baked goodies and candies today. My construction workers will take some home! It’s necessary! Happy New Year everyone. Thanks for another great round full of great pics, ideas, advice and kindness. See you all in 2025!

    Hi Everyone!
    I'm Cindy and 51 and have been married to my very supportive husband for 27 years. We have a daughter who is 19.
    I can't believe its December!πŸŽ„β›„ 2024 has not been my year for loosing weight. However, I did get a gym membership in July and go consistently. Usually 4 days a week, so I consider that a win. I do feel more fit even if the scale doesn't reflect it.
    The November goal of logging my food was met the last half of the month and I started to see a little change in weight.

    April 2020 - 165

    12/1 - 159 ⬇️
    12/2 - 158.8 ⬇️ Made it to the gym after work. Logged my food.
    12/3 - 158.6 ⬇️
    12/4 - 159 ⬆️ Ugh! I worked out hard yesterday. This is so frustrating.

    12/7 - 158.2 ⬆️ 😒 Too much bread yesterday and no exercise.
    12/8 - 158.2 Well at least I didn't gain. 🫀 Got a lot of Christmas shopping done yesterday. Just have a few more or buy.
    12/9 - 158.8 Starting the week the same as last week. So sick and tired of staying in a calorie deficit, working out, and still not loosing. Feeling defeated.
    12/10 - 158.6 ⬇️ Did not go to the gym out of frustration and ate what I wanted. Tacos!
    12/11 - 159.8 ⬆️ A reflection of being frustrated and eating what I wanted. Skipped the gym again today to go see my horse. I rather pet a horse than go to the gym. She needed her thicker blanket anyways. It has started to get quite chilly at night.
    12/12 - 160 ⬆️ Went to the gym today and back on track with eating. I just had a throw a toddler tantrum for a few days. The scale should be better tomorrow.
    12/13 - 158.2 ⬇️ Looking better. We shall see what the weekend holds.
    12/14 - 158.8 ⬆️ Went to lunch with a friend yesterday ate what I wanted. I needed a juicy burger and fries. Didn't eat dinner because I was full from lunch. Probably over on my calories and no gym. Today I need to finish up Christmas shopping and get out the decorations. The tree is still in the attic. 🫀
    12/15 - 159.2 ⬆️ Not surprised that it went up. Christmas shopping didn't get finished, but the decorations are out of the attic. The tree is up, but not decorated yet. We are supposed to do that this evening. My daughter's friend is coming over this evening to help. Pretty lazy day yesterday just baked cookies and hung out at home.
