Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I skipped this challenge for November and it was an epic fail. The first month since I started this journey that I gained weight. So I am back , probably for the rest of my life LOL! Didn't meet a single goal yesterday, not even the water! First day of Christmas celebrations for me. Allyson came over early, then off to my sister's house. White elephant gift exchange and a few snacks. Then out to dinner last night. I didn't go overboard, but did indulge some. Didn't track anything. Today we are having Christmas at my house. Then out for lunch and then going to see Wiked. Probably won't be tracking today either - but hope to get at least a walk on the treadmill after the movie (when Allyson leaves for home).

I had a wonderful day yesterday and have no regrets. But now I need to get back on track. We have nine days left in December and there is no reason for me not to be be on track for eight of those. Still hoping for a negative month, but if I don't succeed I will not give in. I have am hoping to be in a negative situation this month. I will be strong the next two days, I'll have a small hiccup on Christmas and then it should be smooth sailing for a bit. My goal is to get to be back to ideal weight status by my two year weight loss journey anniversary on January 12.
It is a frigid 4 degrees this morning - so looking like all inside exercise today! My house looks a bomb went off it in - so cleaning up the mess today - that should count as some exercise too.[/quote]

We put a number on our gift. Then we picked numbers for the gift. After everyone got their gift, we pulled a "trade with" card out of a bag. - "Trade with the person you think would burn the Christmas Dinner", "Trade with the person who is the tallest", etc. etc. etc. etc. We did this for about 5 rounds and then whatever gift you had at the end was yours! It was fun. I ended up with a trunk organizer for my car - Greg got a digital picture frame. After the festivities, we went out for dinner at a nice restaurant!

Sunday was Christmas with Greg and Allyson - Nice day - opened presents in AM, then brought in pizza for lunch (I haven't had pizza in eons so it's what I wanted), and then we went to go see Wiked at the movie theater. I didn't realize they were doing it in two parts. I thought they did a really nice job with it, following the play pretty closely - but was disappointed that I have to wait a year to see the whole thing.
The holiday has not been the best for my weight loss journey - I am sitting on the top of my goal range - but since my goal weight was just at the "ideal weight" category I am technically back in the overweight stage. After the holiday is offically over, I am going to set a new goal weight of 137 pounds and have a three pound window (five would be too hard for me to come back from). I was back on track yesterday, cleaned up the Christmas chaos. Today am cooking for our Christmas get together tomorrow - hoping not to get too sidetracked.

Sometimes most of it will come right back off after 24 to 48 hours. I donβt expect that will easily happen this time as Iβve entered the baking section of my holidays and our Family Feast is on Saturday following all the baking and candy making. I imagine Iβll make most of my progress between Dec 29th and New Years if there is any to be made. I will try to stay sensible as often as I can. Tonight is movie night with my son. We will watch 2 Christmas movies choosing one each. There will be festive snacks. I want to make Christmas Day/night special even if itβs only just the two of us until Saturday. He is kind of stuck on traditions anyway due to the autism and the difficulty he has changing things up. I will try not to overeat. I will also try to watch my BLTβs (bites, licks, tastes) while baking today and in the coming days. No promises though. Just keeping it honest.
12/26-193.4-(Trend Weight 192.3)- Weight is exactly the same as yesterday and trend weight is creeping up. While Iβm not happy with the scale reading, I will take it as a win. Yesterday was day 1 of baking with 6 batches of random cookies. I ate 5 over the course of the day and called it my lunch. It was also a pasta and bread dinner and Christmas movie night with son. With all of that, no weight change truly is a win for me. Today, much more baking and leftover pasta for dinner. I donβt expect the scale to go down tomorrow but if I can just stay stable I will be ever so grateful. Looking forward to our Family Dinner & Party on Saturday. Lots of prep yet to do!

Didn't meet a single goal yesterday, not even the water! First day of Christmas celebrations for me. Allyson came over early, then off to my sister's house. White elephant gift exchange and a few snacks. Then out to dinner last night. I didn't go overboard, but did indulge some. Didn't track anything. Today we are having Christmas at my house. Then out for lunch and then going to see Wiked. Probably won't be tracking today either - but hope to get at least a walk on the treadmill after the movie (when Allyson leaves for home).

I had a wonderful day yesterday and have no regrets. But now I need to get back on track. We have nine days left in December and there is no reason for me not to be be on track for eight of those. Still hoping for a negative month, but if I don't succeed I will not give in. I have am hoping to be in a negative situation this month. I will be strong the next two days, I'll have a small hiccup on Christmas and then it should be smooth sailing for a bit. My goal is to get to be back to ideal weight status by my two year weight loss journey anniversary on January 12.
It is a frigid 4 degrees this morning - so looking like all inside exercise today! My house looks a bomb went off it in - so cleaning up the mess today - that should count as some exercise too.[/quote]

We put a number on our gift. Then we picked numbers for the gift. After everyone got their gift, we pulled a "trade with" card out of a bag. - "Trade with the person you think would burn the Christmas Dinner", "Trade with the person who is the tallest", etc. etc. etc. etc. We did this for about 5 rounds and then whatever gift you had at the end was yours! It was fun. I ended up with a trunk organizer for my car - Greg got a digital picture frame. After the festivities, we went out for dinner at a nice restaurant!

Sunday was Christmas with Greg and Allyson - Nice day - opened presents in AM, then brought in pizza for lunch (I haven't had pizza in eons so it's what I wanted), and then we went to go see Wiked at the movie theater. I didn't realize they were doing it in two parts. I thought they did a really nice job with it, following the play pretty closely - but was disappointed that I have to wait a year to see the whole thing.
The holiday has not been the best for my weight loss journey - I am sitting on the top of my goal range - but since my goal weight was just at the "ideal weight" category I am technically back in the overweight stage. After the holiday is offically over, I am going to set a new goal weight of 137 pounds and have a three pound window (five would be too hard for me to come back from). I was back on track yesterday, cleaned up the Christmas chaos. Today am cooking for our Christmas get together tomorrow - hoping not to get too sidetracked.

My last day to indulge and then I need to get back to business!

I'm kind of relieved the holiday is over. It is my favorite holiday, but am always happy to put away all the stuff when it's done. Detox from Christmas Indulgence, nice swish - yes I can flucuate that much in a day . Wasn't feeling well, so didn't eat a lot; made a wonderful chicken vegetable soup in the instant pot which didn't have too many calories in it and really filled me up. Reminded me of the zero point cabbage soup from weight watchers years ago. I was scared to make a short term goal to get under November's weight - but now that I am here hope to hang on!0
