    Starting Weight 164
    December Goal 156 β€”new goal 152.
    Goal weight: 130

    12/2: 164.2
    12/4: 160.2
    12/6: 159.0
    12/7: 158.0
    12/9: 157.0
    12/12: 155.8

Didn’t realize I missed weigh in day yesterday! Rents get in today and I made it under my December goal! I am going to try to make good choices while they are here and change my December goal to 152. Maybe too low with the Xmas day, but I will take it into consideration since it’s a win that I met my original goal and will be happy to be under that by the end of the month too. Got my kiddos 5th bday tomorrow and party Saturday so it will be a busy next few days. Almost halfway through the month! We got this!

Hi folks just been discovering the community pages today. Would love to connect with more people on here and get to know others in the same journey as me. Currently in a weight loss phase my weight in this morning was -4kg down. Aiming for a total loss of 25 to 30 kg so a good start.

@andyray1988 I'm so glad you found us. It's wonderful to have you here. Many of us use these posts as somewhat of a journal. You'll get to know many of us pretty well just by reading the posts daily. We all share many common goals and that makes us like family. Welcome to the family!

Hi all. Well had a carb binge yesterday. Many bread rolls and chocolate biscuits. This time of year there’s much temptation to eat poorly. I did however make a nutritious cauliflower lentil and brown rice bake.

The first month since I started this journey that I gained weight. So I am back , probably for the rest of my life LOL! Hi Everyone!
I'm Cindy and 51 and have been married to my very supportive husband for 27 years. We have a daughter who is 19.
I can't believe its December!πŸŽ„β›„ 2024 has not been my year for loosing weight. However, I did get a gym membership in July and go consistently. Usually 4 days a week, so I consider that a win. I do feel more fit even if the scale doesn't reflect it.
The November goal of logging my food was met the last half of the month and I started to see a little change in weight.

    April 2020 - 165
    Goal - 140
    December Starting Weight - 159
    December Goal - 155

    12/1 - 159 ⬇️
12/2 - 158.8 ⬇️ Made it to the gym after work. Logged my food.
    12/3 - 158.6 ⬇️
12/4 - 159 ⬆️ Ugh! I worked out hard yesterday. This is so frustrating.
    12/5 - 158.4 ⬇️
    12/6 - 158 ⬇️
    12/7 - 158.2 ⬆️ 😒 Too much bread yesterday and no exercise.
12/8 - 158.2 Well at least I didn't gain. 🫀 Got a lot of Christmas shopping done yesterday. Just have a few more or buy.
12/9 - 158.8 Starting the week the same as last week. So sick and tired of staying in a calorie deficit, working out, and still not loosing. Feeling defeated.
12/10 - 158.6 ⬇️ Did not go to the gym out of frustration and ate what I wanted. Tacos!
12/11 - 159.8 ⬆️ A reflection of being frustrated and eating what I wanted. Skipped the gym again today to go see my horse. I rather pet a horse than go to the gym. She needed her thicker blanket anyways. It has started to get quite chilly at night. Below is a picture of my beauty, Mika.
12/12 - 160 ⬆️ Went to the gym today and back on track with eating. I just had a throw a toddler tantrum for a few days. The scale should be better tomorrow.
12/13 - 158.2 ⬇️ Looking better. We shall see what the weekend holds.

Hi everyone, Oh well. Still testing positive for COVID seconds after submitting sample, but my symptoms are improving steadily. No more temp or headache. Some congestion, right ear blocked, some coughing. Frequent trips to the bathroom! I hope this weight loss isn't just temporary due to the virus.

Dear @ozdeelite, Would you mind sharing your cauliflower lentil and brown rice bake recipe? It looks DELISH!

Hi @cinw1501 (Cindy)! Mika is such a pretty horse! She looks very gentle!πŸ’žπŸ΄

Have a great day everyone, I will check back in tomorrow.

12/11-194.4-(Trend Weight 193.4)- I made some pretty bad choices yesterday. A neighbor brought over some thick slabs of fresh homemade bread which we slathered with butter and ate with coffee. Not exactly a good choice with my T2D. I skipped my entire dinner because of it which means any chance of nutrition went straight out the window. Then late last night I got hungry watching TV (which is to be expected with such a stupid dinner) and the snacks were less than desirable. I’m glad the scale did not go up but it really didn’t go down much either. It was not a good path to weight loss progress or better health. I hope she leaves her bread home today because it’s something I have a hard time saying no to. I’d like a real meal today! The choices are always up to me, this I do know. But sometimes the willpower is out of my hands!

Thanks so much for sending that recipe link @ozdeelite! I found a similar one that you do on top of the stove but I think I like yours better! That stuffed sweet potato looks good too.

Thank you for the well wishes @iLive2Walk! I am gradually getting better.

    Have a nice night!

The first month since I started this journey that I gained weight. So I am back , probably for the rest of my life LOL! Was trying to cut back on my screen time, but logging in daily really keeps me on track. Besides that, missed you all too! πŸ’—

Today we are visiting Greg's cousin to celebrate Christmast (the one that gave me my bike). Shouldn't be too bad for eating - but will be sitting most of the day. She lives 2 hours away, so four hours in the car, and we sit the whole time we are there (she is 92 afterall), but it's always a nice visit.

I'm binge watching Black Doves on Netflix - not sure if I like it - but need to finish it so will be jumping on the treadmill to watch when I get home and get in at least a mile or two of walking. I have been doing this strength training program from the Improved Health channel on Youtube. Finished week one and working on week two - I am liking it a lot. Just 10-20 minutes a day - alternates upper body with lower body. So I'll get this in too. That's my plan anyway!

12/12 - 160 ⬆️ Went to the gym today and back on track with eating. I just had a throw a toddler tantrum for a few days. The scale should be better tomorrow.
12/13 - 158.2 ⬇️ Looking better. We shall see what the weekend holds.
12/14 - 158.8 ⬆️ Went to lunch with a friend yesterday ate what I wanted. I needed a juicy burger and fries. Didn't eat dinner because I was full from lunch. Probably over on my calories and no gym. Today I need to finish up Christmas shopping and get out the decorations. The tree is still in the attic. 🫀

@Walela617 (Carole) Thank you! She is a Clydesdale. She is great. She is a bit aloof and a bit goofy. She is known for tripping over her own feet. 😝 There is nothing like brushing a horse when you are having a bad day and she loves to be brushed. πŸ₯°

All, I'd like to join you for December.

    My goals:
-Stay in the group for the whole month! Don't give up or drop out.

-Report my weight daily (except Dec 25 & 26.)

-Log daily, or almost daily this month (except Dec 25 &26).

    Ultimate starting weight: 160 lbs
    Ultimate goal weight: 121 lbs

    December 1: 129.0
    December 2: 128.2 πŸŽ„ I logged
    December 3: 127.2 πŸŽ„ I logged
December 4: 126.0 Yesterday I came down with a flu like virus; including upset stomach.
December 5: DNW Still sick. Pretty miserable this morning and did not think to weigh. But, thought I'd pop in to check in.
    December 6: DNW- Sick
    December 7: DNW- Sick
December 8: 126.2 Still sick. Went to the dr a couple days ago and got some medicine that is helping some.

December 9: 128.4 πŸŽ„ I logged Very disappointing weight today. After 4-5 days sick with little appetite; what, did I drink two pounds in juice?? πŸ™„ Well anyway, I'm still not 100% but I'm well enough to start regaining normalcy. Back to logging today.

    December 10: 128.0
December 11: 127.8 πŸŽ„ I logged It just occurred to me... I've been on prednisone... this could be adding to the weight struggle that I wasn't expecting. Today's my last day, thankfully.

    December 12: 127.0
    December 13: 128.0
    December 14: 125.4 Well that's a nice surprise.

    Good morning everyone,

Hi Cindy, @cinw1501, I remember how soothing it was for me when I used to brush my cat; so I can relate. My last cat loved to be brushed as well. Hope the next one does too.

I have to defer my adoption due to this COVID thing! (Now on Day 7):2qr7nic1l5ky.jpg I am slowly improving though.

Cindy, we are so close in weight and our goal is the same: 140. I am 5'3" and 66 years old. (I used to be 5'4.5"!) Aging just isn't fair! You only gained 0.2 lbs. after a burger and fries? It's good to be young! I would have probably showed a 3 lb. gain the following day!

    Have a great day
    πŸ’— Carole

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 64 years old and from Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

**********************ONE DAY, ONE STEP, ONE DECISION AT A TIME********************

    FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH:

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    12/10-194.6-(Trend Weight 193.3)-

12/12-191.8-(Trend Weight 193.3)- I have no idea why there was such a bug whoosh today. I am questioning the scale reading and wish I would have weighed in a second place or with my second scale. Especially when I questioned it just the other day for a large drop. DGS had me hopping at the time so I’m stuck with just one reading. I’ll take the weight as a win today but will eagerly wait to see what happens tomorrow. Even though my goal is to lose ANYTHING per round, my micro mini personal goal is to stop focusing on the big picture and focus on just 5 pounds at a time. I think I was at 193.6 when I started focusing on this current 5 pounds. I need to land at 188.6. 3.2 lbs to go if the scale is accurate. T-Minus 1.8 lbs gone (I hope).

I’m not doing great. Barely sleeping. Actually had no sleep last night, 4 hrs the night before and 90 minutes before that. I’ve supposedly gained 2kg -4.5lb in 2 days. Surely not.

Going away again tomorrow this time for my son to see cardiologist. I’m a wreck. I’ve got parasailing and kayaking booked and have no idea how I will manage.

My eldest son went to Brisbane with my mum for a family visit but it turns out he has covid so that sucks.

    Hopefully get sleep soon.

Hi @ozdeelite, I'm so sorry to hear that you're dealing with so much at one time! No wonder you're not sleeping well! The temporary gain of weight could be due to fluid from inflammation and lack of rest combined with all the stress. I hope it resolves soon!

I'm so sorry to hear that your son has COVID too! I hope your Mom doesn't catch it, nor anyone else!

Who is seeing the cardiologist? Is it another son? Prayers and well wishes to all!πŸ™πŸ’žπŸ•ŠοΈ

Nice visit with Greg's cousin yesterday. When we got home Greg turned on the football game (not my favorite), so I got all my workouts done. It was a productive day. Today will be a challenge - making cookies all day for the ladies at bingo tomorrow. I know - the Food Gift! But there is 12 of them, and its a good cheaper gift that they enjoy. None of them are watching their weight - next year maybe I'll make some mittens. But the challenge is, not to eat one of each batch!

12/15 - 159.2 ⬆️ Not surprised that it went up. Christmas shopping didn't get finished, but the decorations are out of the attic. The tree is up, but not decorated yet. We are supposed to do that this evening. My daughter's friend is coming over this evening to help. Pretty lazy day yesterday just baked cookies and hung out at home.

Sunday catch-up Day! I do read your posts every day - just don't have the time to respond to them all! I have been trying to limit my screen time - so thought I would do this once a week instead of every day!

@deepwoodslady How is the house coming? Is it on hold over the holiday? I was thinking that your struggles this year might be to house renovation stress? I was wondering if you got all that snow they were talking about. We had a little here - but had a really warm day (hit mid 60s!) with a lot of rain this week so it is all gone. Now this morning 15 degrees! Sorry about the troubles with your scale, As always love the picture of the GS - such a cutie patootie!

@walea617 Hoping you are feeling better. Sounds like this was a bad case.

@ozdeelite Those sweet potato nachos looked fabulous. I may have to make my own version! Looks easy enough and yummy. I have an air fryer that I use for my sweet potato fries! Sorry you have been been feeling down lately - hoping all goes well with the doctor visit. 🀞

@andreajlnhe Look at you go girl! I guess the prednisone blot is gone. Being sick is not the best way to lose weight - but at least your frustration should be gone.

@cinw1501 - It is really tough to put in the effort and not see a loss - but trust the process, the closer you get to that goal weight, the tougher it is to lose. A pound a week at this point in your journey is a LOT! But you are getting stronger, leaner, and learning some great habits to carry you the rest of your life even if the scale doesn't show it. Mika is beautiful.

@kebass01 Hoping the visit with the parents; hoping they are too much of a distraction. Happy belated to your little!
