Hi everyone,
I didn't do many steps today (under 4,000) - no exercise video. I just stayed in and kind of "lazed around". (I'll do better over the next few days.)
Although I ate healthy food, my calorie total was over my 1,450 goal (1,559), but I'll make up for that through the rest of this week; to make sure I average out okay.
It was a very peaceful day, but I'll admit I spent too much time online!

Thankyou @Walela617. The coughing is definitely feeling better but waking up at 4am is not what I wanted. Insomnia is a constant problem. Wish I had weighed in before I drank half this water bottle but hopefully I'll fall back to sleep for a few hrs if I can settle again.
I expect one of the cats to realize soon I'm awake in bed to come snuggle and hint towards an overnight meal.2 -

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I have been with group for a while. I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two year have lost almost 90 pounds. With the help of this group I made it to the ideal weight loss range. Logging in Daily really keeps me on track. Now I'm working on a buffer to make it so I never hit overweight again. Hi everyone, I have been on mfp over 12 years now. I lost weight twice (about 12-15kgs) but gained it back. Now I’m almost at my heaviest and it’s urgent to lose due to my health, possibly fertility issues (pcos), and wedding in August.
I am 35 years old and work from home. I have a very sedentary lifestyle. I am trying to have a habit of going to the gym 3 times a week. I am 164 cm and started with 103.3 kg (31 December 2024).

- I weighed in at 162.2.
- Tracked all day and I mean EVERYTHING. There are always a couple things I usually treat and dont track, but yesterday I did it all.
- calories- under 1600 as per goal
- -exercises did all my approved exercises.
Arthritis wasn't good last night, I'm still trying to figure out if there is a pattern, but it's hard also bc there are soft tissue injuries, so I dont think I can get a baseline with the OA until the injuries are addressed.
Today is a lighter exercise day- just two short walks, 3 km max total.
So January goals:
** Weigh in weekly on Wednesdays.
**Track calories every day.
**Stick to my calorie goals (1600, plus 100 on days I go in to the office- more movement/longer day)
**Do the approved exercises I can do.
Weigh in Jan 1- 162.2 lbs.

01/01-193.4-(Trend Weight 192.9)- Okay, so not the greatest start for 2025, but I plan on a great finish! Last night ended with pizza and cheese bread and a small celebration with middle DD and DS. I managed to stay away from the wine and the adult beverages even though I had it chilling. Weight up today. Hopefully back down to 192 point anything by tomorrow. I really need to pre-log my food today. It’s been awhile. It’s key. Welcome to 2025, a new year and a new opportunity. And welcome to all our new friends who have chosen this challenge. 01/02-193.2-(Trend Weight 192.9)- I pre-logged my day yesterday and did very well with my meals. Last night I veered off of plan for my snacks and ended up eating the rest of the candy dish I’d had out at the party. Foolish me! I “undid” all the good of my meals. I’m just glad I didn’t gain because it could have went the other way for sure. I’ll try again today to stick to plan. It’s so hard to get back into the swing of things but I’ve succeeded before and I can again. 0.2 lost. I’ll take that as a positive even if I don’t see it as a win.

Jan2: 288.7 I ended up lying down after the unplanned 4am wakeup and weighed in when I got up for the day.
Jan3: 4am wakeup again.. forgot to check weight just wanted to get out of bedroom to not wake DH with my coughing.. too bad he didn't feel the same with his snoring! But on the mend I think.4 -
Jan 3 check in- I met my calorie and exercise goals yesterday, though it was a bit challenging.

01/03-192.4-(Trend Weight 192.9)- It’s very rare that I would be at the same trend weight for 5 days in a row, but here I am. Today reflects a nice little drop which I did not expect after getting only 1 hr and 3 min of sleep last night. Ugh!!! Meals were good but snacks were off again. My carbs are trying to inch up so I gotta watch that. I’m going for a banner day today. NSV for me, I threw away over half of a pumpkin pie yesterday. It was still tempting, even with being several days old and tasting stale. Very little fudge left and still quite a few cookies remain. I continue to lay them out for my contractors and they continue to leave less and less.
