Full stop on all my workouts and meal planning, down with a nasty cold. Day off yesterday was great but I'm back to work (at home) today. Juice and soup on deck.4

I read this quote somewhere yesterday:
“Forget motivation, focus on discipline”.
That’s going to be my new mantra. Because truth be told I’m terrible at motivation but actually pretty good at discipline.
My cold is starting to subside so hopefully getting back into more movement soon.

Still thinking about focusing on discipline vs motivation. Motivation is hard to sustain for long term goals. And it is very hard to sustain during times of major stress. Self-discipline is a moment to moment thing. It’s about small wins in the present.

@canadamarie -Motivation vs. Discipline= 100%.. I think that is how I have had to keep focused on my workout routine. Days like yesterday. I had a "don't feel like doing anything " after work but I looked at my workout schedule and I was like, nope , need to keep stressing and building the muscle so my metabolism stays up where I want it.. I did not push myself hard on my workout but I did get it done.. and I check that box off
@dannytrees1- You hit goal and then exceeded it ! Way to go 1 Will you change to maintenance now? What will your new food plan look like?
February is coming but I always find that even though its the shortest month, it often feels like the longest. March we start to see glimmers of better weather (most of the time, it is the Northwest where I live) and I always get overly anxious for spring.

I agree we are still battling the cold and the snow… but we are on the other side of the mountain now… saying goodbye to those winter blues.. even in Florida I hear.
Thinking positive thoughts for us all⛄️👍
Happy Donkey, you are doing great this month… keep it going ⛄️👻
I have just hit my goal for this month, the plan there is to keep it there.
My ultimate goal is 175, then the plan is to maintain that number 👍
I’m not going anywhere… sticking with the group here. @ManifestingToday runs a great ship here👍
I will put together a plan for
maintenance .5 -

Jan 7 205 ate and drank too much over my long weekend (took a 4 day off from work to recover from Xmas). Had friends here visiting so lots of food and drinks. Will be drinking lots of water and drinking my bloom to help with any bloating.
Jan 10 204 first Zumba class of this year. So far my foot isn’t hurting so that’s great. Still trying to keep it easy though. At least work has slowed down so that helps. Have a great weekend!
Jan 12 203.5 Saturdays have a new class I like. It’s a Zumba/hiit/liit class. It’s really fun and definitely gets your heart racing.
Jan 16 203 working out again is nice. Also with it being slow at work I am up more and getting things done I don’t normally get to do when it’s super busy.
Jan 19 201 woohoo! Finally starting to see a downward trend.
Jan 23 199.5. So sick. Haven't really eaten in two days. Hoping to feel better today.4 -

Thanks for the well wishes, this is what I get for making fun of hubby's man cold LOL. Still feel crappy but as a result, no snacking going on so scale was 170 today. I see some of you are going through the same. About 5-6 inches of snow here Sunday night. Felt bad I could not help hubby clear the driveway.
We're now in a deep freeze so when not working, I'm under a fuzzy blanket on the couch with tea.
Stay warm and healthy everyone!5 -

Can’t believe the snow some of you have this month. I’ve always lived in Nor California’s climate with 3 seasons (no snow) but we’re having an unusually warm winter. I’m still able to continue taking walks outdoors many days a week but the nights are cold and dark for sure! Also under blankets with herbal tea or hot cocoa (monk fruit drinking chocolate) here.

I am feeling so LAZY lately.. its a battle getting through the workouts this week. I know its the weather. I feel like hermit. I work all day and go nowhere since its been so cold out. Honestly I haven't even left the house much beyond getting horses fed and the dogs their session of ball throwing a couple times a day.
I never liked the cold but now with the weight loss its even harder to stay warm. Mostly my extremities.
@dannytrees1 - thanks ! this month has definitely gone better than the last two so I am grateful to see some changes again. I am hoping it continues. I can't pinpoint anything specific that might be helping which is a bummer. It would be nice to be able to know what actually is helping for future stalls.
As for you... Being so close to maintenance has to be a great feeling. You should be super proud of yourself. Smart to be putting a plan together to stay put and glad to hear you will continue to hang with us out here.
Stay warm and pray for spring days ahead!

I’m adding protein with greens powder in my morning smoothies now.
Picked it up from amazon at a good price.
A friend SG got me on the greens and realized what they do.
So this is part of my new revised plan.
I found it challenging to keep real greens fresh… I think this green protein powder will be a good option.
Stay safe everyone, have a great Friday

Pizza night too, sigh….at least I planned around other healthy small meals - protein shake, oatmeal, and almond flour banana bar. Will also make a salad with mixed greens, peppers and artichoke
hearts.
Happy weekend!4 -
