Please count me in..this will be a longer goal for me.

    August 1st SW 195 lbs

    GW 185 lbs

Wow so many interesting posting with alot of insight. I am glad I took the time to read. August 6th 195lbs, August 14th 197 lbs, August 16th 195 lbs

Ok moving back to thecright direction

August 20th 195lbs I had a 24 hour time frame where I gained 7lbs & then lost it. I almost ran out to the variety store to buy a bag of potato chips plus dip. But I hanged on.

August 27th 195lbs. I have been hovering around this weight. I had a few days weighing less. So just keep working on it. Watching my intake.

September 3rd 194.5 lbs A small victory. My 7 day trend is 194.5. I have started to pay more attention to processed carbs. My emotional go to. Feel alone taking care of my dad with Parkinsons with dementia. No sibling support. Thank God for my husband.

September 10th 198 lbs My 7 day trend is 195.2 lbs. Very emotional right now so I head to the fridge & cupboards. Back on track today.

September 17th 195 lbs My 7 day trend is 195.4 lbs. Had a couple of days where I gained quite a bit. Logging my foods. Trying to get in the right place.

September 24th 194.2 lbs 7 day trend 195 lbs. I just read all the posts and quite motivating and informative. Not much to add because it looks like it has been touched upon. The love of chips..mine is Bettermade, to ordering salad. We have our sabatoges. We got this.

@Bemybestby60 Are you from Michigan? Just wondering because of the potato chip brand. I am in Northern Lower Michigan. "Up North".

Great posts! I had to catch up and read a bunch of them. @SunnyDays930 Great tips! Loved all your ideas. The other day we went out to a new restaurant, and I knew I couldn't eat a whole entree and I actually felt guilty (felt badly for the waiter) that I didn't buy an entree. (The bill would be less and thus his tip. I guess I could tip a few bucks extra anyway.)

Ate an appetizer instead. I also had a few bites of husband's entree which is what I would have ordered. I was satisfied.

I have to manage work life balance. In the fall, it's my busy season. So, I have been working through lunch taking bites out of a half sandwich while I work. I used to go for a walk in nature which is near my workplace and play happy music during my lunch. I should get back to that. That's my #1 goal for this week: Take a daily walk in nature.

@200Karen Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

@Bemybestby60 I love your username. I'll be 60 in a few years too. Interesting post- you gained and lost 7 pounds in a day.

My name is Donna. I am 65 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253. I would like to lose a total of about 100 pounds and have been working on it for too many years (since 2018). I weigh weekly but also on the 1st and last day of each month for a full month’s account.

    🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT (FROM July 31st): 189.0

CHALLENGE TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: Total Loss of 9.2 lbs to land at 179.8

    CHALLENGE ENDING WEIGHT: xxxxx

TOTAL LOST IN THIS CHALLENGE: xxxxx

    πŸ”œπŸ”œπŸ”œπŸ”œπŸ”œULTIMATE GOAL: 145-155 (I’ll know when I get there!)

I AM TRYING SOMETHING LATELY. MY GOAL FOR THE CHALLENGE WILL BE 0.1 lbs PER DAY. THAT WILL USUALLY COME TO SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 9 AND 10 LBS TOTAL LOST MOST CHALLENGES. IT WILL BE DIFFICULT BUT I DON’T FEEL IT IS TOO MUCH TO ASK, EVEN GIVEN MY AGE, MY MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT SET ME BACK AND MY MEDICATIONS. IF I GET BEHIND ON ANY GIVEN DAY, WEEK OR MONTH, I’VE ONLY MADE IT HARDER ON MYSELF AS I HAVE TO THEN CATCH UP. THE SPECIFIC GOALS NUMBERS MAY CHANGE AS I GO ALONG ONLY TO KEEP IN LINE WITH MY GRAND TOTAL LOSS GOAL. IN THE END IT SHOULD BE EQUAL TO 0.1 LB PER DAY OR MORE. I KNOW IT’S A MIND GAME I’M PLAYING WITH MYSELF, BUT IT ALSO FEELS LIKE I’M NOT BITING OFF MORE THAN I CAN CHEW. LET’S SEE HOW THIS GOES!

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

🐝🐝🐝🐝09/30-DNW ↔️ (Trend Weight: DNW) I will probably come back a day or two late to record my weight for September end. After travel, giving it a day or two will allow the most accurate true numbers to reveal themselves. There is no point in starting Oct with a falsely inflated number and then making a loss in October look easy when we all know it never is. I prefer giving myself credit for actual weight/fat loss. Traveled yesterday about 300 miles to see a dentist. I’m not looking forward to the upcoming work or the $4000.00 bill. Not this close to Christmas and multiple family birthdays!

    @deepwoodslady

This is such a great idea! A few seconds of maybe feeling a tad awkward but hours (days!) of deep satisfaction with exerting control over my eating. I can’t wait to do this the next time I eat out at a restaurant. So simple but effective.
