Wow Karen. I'm exhausted just looking at your picture. That's a whole lot of physical labor. You must feel very satisfied with what you got done. Have a great weekend. You've earned it!
4 -
@faurotann 😂 LOL I'm exhausted too. Surprisingly I only woke to a few aches and pains.
must be all the resting I done afterwards with my feet up.
Hope everyone is having a great day,
It's couch time for me

Good morning. I went camping and only gained 1 lb. That is a victory.

Hi! I'm eating less calories because I went back to work and my lunch time is late and so I'm eating eggs/ham in the morning, carrots and small bag of chips for a snack (got to have my salty snack) small lunch and regular dinner. Overall, just less calories, so I'm happy with 2 pound loss.
Went to Pilates once but got over 11,000 in steps each day at work (we have lots of stairs so I use the stairs as a mini workout, as I briskly go up and down.) I also bought one of those wine Bota boxes and pour some into a small wine glass. I'm trying to drink less calories each night. The box is also saving me tons of money each week. The wine is meh but still ok.
Simple Goals for this week:
Eat fruit each day. Eat a veggie each day. Mediate for 10 min. after work. Stretch after work, especially my tight hips.
HW 206 lbs.
8/2 171.0
8/13 172.0
8/22 169.8 (finally back into the 160s)

@200Karen Looking great! You did a ton of work.

@RubyRed427 🥳congratulations on your weight release And the 11K daily steps. Great job 👏
I miss going to work and the structure it brings to life. Sounds like you have a great plan in place.
Love your simple goals for this week. Those simpler ones are the best🥇
This week I’m joining you for tracking fruits and veggies. Maybe next week I’ll try the daily meditation
My daily goals: 1-fruit and 3-veggies✅ Saturday:
Fruit: avocado, apple
Veggie: cucumber, green beans x2, corn
Thanks for the inspiration 😘
Best wishes to all💕 Karen

Hi everyone,
Thanks again to all who sent birthday wishes! My gift to me (slightly belated) is to quit drinking alcoholic beverages forever. I had a recent bout with pancreatitis and it's no fun. Now on my 4th alcohol-free day, it is subsiding more and more each day.
My weight is finally below 160 again. We'll see how Wednesday's weigh-in goes...
Have a great day!
💞Carole

Thanks, Carole. Wishing you the best. That was new information for me. I looked it up. When I hear "pancreatitis" I instantly think of pancreatic cancer and diabetes 2. I had no idea of all the other illnesses. That's very helpful.
Good luck. Stay well. You've got a lot of healthy, enjoyable days ahead of you. I'm so glad you shared this with us.

I’m returning for an update. I mentioned my plateau and over indulgence in carbs last week. Well I am down 1.1 lbs after yesterday’s weigh in. Taking it one step at a time. I am feeling like I gotta stay hyper vigilant on my food intake which is making it hard to relax and enjoy other life stuff. I just want to lose these last 20 lbs so that I can relax a bit and maintain! Next weigh in is this coming Saturday, will keep you all posted! So glad for this forum for support and venting. 😊
10 -
You're doing great, Jillygirl. 1.1 lbs is a solid loss. Stay vigilant. It's worth it. I agree, it makes it hard to enjoy other life stuff. I was the same but my "other life" was pretty calm, luckily. And I just wanted to reach maintenance. I figured that once I met my goal I could tackle maintenance.
Good luck.

P.S. I kept some sliced deli turkey on hand. It's only 30 calories per ounce. It's good protein punch and I could stave off the hunger just long enough to get to the next meal.

Hello everyone !
I am back from 3 weeks of vacation.Weighted in this morning: 68,3kg
I will try to come on the forum for accountability and learning about you every couple of days.
Today was a good day. 2+hours of bicycle, sun bath, healthy eating.
Wishing you all a good week!
7 -
thanks for sharing your deli protein punch. 🥊 Sounds perfect
@Maya440 welcome back
I’m still adjusting from a 10-day vacation. Adding yoga to my routine for a relaxing transition back to normal. In the last month I have gained 4 pounds. On vacation it was a 1-pound gain then I just kept slacking off. Oops
😎vacation is over. Tonight after dinner the kitchen is closed

krea4, from what I read long covid, crazy how people are suffering with it. I have a friend that had covid 3 times. I gave her a small jar of elderbery syrup. Covid is till lurking around the body and the body is trying to fight it off. It is overwelmed with the virus and it keeps hiding/moving around the body. Go get some elderberry syrup. there should be someone making it near u. go on fb marketplace, U take the syrup like a med, a spoon full every 3-4 hrs. It will clear the virus from your body.
3 -
@walkintofit love the elderberry syrup idea for @krea4 I remember my mom's syrup and thought it was the 'love in it' that made it so wonderful. I'll be buying a jar.
Day 2: of high protein has released some weight. With the no sugary treats and no eating after dinner I am feeling better.
Yesterday, I ate chicken, hamburger, ham, and eggs. I eat my protein with veggies. Today more of the same.Expecting a thunder and rain storm, so the painters might be waiting to paint. They did two-days of pre work and are doing a fantastic work.
Happy trails to all,
💞 Karen

Ok moving back to thecright direction
August 20th 195lbs I had a 24 hour time frame where I gained 7lbs & then lost it. I almost ran out to the variety store to buy a bag of potato chips plus dip. But I hanged on.
August 27th 195lbs. I have been hovering around this weight. I had a few days weighing less. So just keep working on it. Watching my intake.

Hey Carole, I hope you are feeling better!
My semaglutide (wegovy etc) is no longer helping me to lose weight. I have been stuck for a month. I just either have to step it up with more exercise or accept this is going to be what I weigh. I am going to run out in October and do not want to renew my subscription to it. It is 1500.00 for 24 week supply. So with the holidays coming it will be challenging to maintain but I will do my best. We will continue to cook at home and have no more than 2 drinks on any given day, and that will be occasional, not daily. I have a treadmill to bad weather will not be an excuse not to have a daily walk.
