Hi! If you are new to our group, post when you want to post. Weekly is probably a great idea, so you can see your progress. But please post anytime you want!
I will weigh in tomorrow~ I was on a short, wonderful trip with a friend and her husband.
Side note: My friend @SunnyDays930 and I met on MFP probably 6-7 years ago, and she and I have maintained a lovely friendship. And now, our husbands are friends, too.
So, MFP and these challenges can bring greater rewards than just weight loss.

Hey, I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and do a mixture of classes. I have had 3 weeks off but have just started back up this this week. Classes like
Yoga ,Strength & Conditioning, Boxercise, Bootcamp or 5k runs.
I'm 5ft 4 and eat around 1500-1700 calories depending on exercise.

Ellos!
Since I am at the start of my current journey I am focusing on keeping up with my food log and lowering my caloric intake. While I am hoping to get more walks in each week, I do have to stay aware that I am still not actually back up to full strength and will need to just take it as it goes. At 5'8" my highest weight ever was 334 lbs for the first half of this year. Finally being granted permission to come off oxygen after 4 years on it I have been officially allowed to increase my activity levels. I am setting a goal that might be out of reach, but that's what I need to be able to play the numbers game in my head. Luckily, I do have a collection of doctors, specialists and a dietarian to help keep me on track. The challenge is more of a way for me to keep my weekly focus on my goals. I will do my weigh ins on Fridays as that is my normal weigh in day with my dietarian.Starting Weight: 334 lbs (20250410 Dr's Office)

@nature_moments I personally find that 1250kcal is really low. But of course everyone is his own experiment of one and you know best ! That's bad luck for your ankle. Is it swollen a lot. It can take up a few weeks…
In regards to my own MFP objectives, exercice & calories:
I was a binge eater several years ago and I have recovered thanks to a program named "brain over binge". There are 2 main principles: the first one is eat adequately and this one was the most difficult for me and the second principle is to allow the urges which I still have to work on some times!
Since I've recovered I make sure I always eat adequately, even if it means my weight loss is very slow (I am at a healthy BMI, the weight loss is perfectionistic ahah)
I am very heavy on exercice: I do triathlon and train 1h-2h 6 days a week. I am aiming for a weekly average of 2300kcal/day. I rarely eat less than 1200kcal on a given day and if I do I make sure the next day I eat at least 2500.
I have 2 boys, 14 & 15 years old who eat all day long lol. And I live in Belgium so I will always close my day before you guys !

4 years on oxygen… you must be so relieved it is finally over. I am sure you can reach whatever goal you decide you want to reach if you give it the necessary time.

As the people that have been on this thread for a while know, I have been on semaglutide since the end of April. Clearly, it is working. However I am not going to stay on it forever. The last dose made me feel sick for 4 days. I will reduce the amount I put in the syringe next time and see if that helps. Mine is not pre measured; you dose yourself. I buy mine from a company on line called Hers.

I think you hit the quote and respond? That’s what I did here. I don’t see another way. Good luck with this challenge!

I have been in the low 170s since November. Time to change it up! What I'm currently doing is not working, because I have been winging it. I need to log my food - that's the only way I can lose weight.
HW Summer of 2023 206 lbs.
Goal for this three month challenge: lose 10 pounds and implement low carb diet. That always works for me, although it is not always sustainable.
New Challenge starting point below:8/2 171.0

hello girls
I have tried keto (I am a fan of Dr Fung) but it really doesn’t work well with me. I felt constantly hungry…
Today was a good day. I fasted until 1PM. Did 25’ bike and 45’ run. Ate good food except for too much chocolate.
I think I had read that semaglutide had a similar effect as fasting does (decreasing hunger) but I should research the source again, I don’t remember. Maybe it was in the fasting method podcast…

I'm a 73 year old female. I'm 5' 6" tall. I lost 30 pounds. It took me 3 challenges plus the start of the fourth challenge.
I never would have succeeded without the help of everyone here. I'm very grateful. I'm still here because I'm afraid of gaining any weight back. It's been a year. I want to see if I can stay here until August 1 2026. I haven't been this weight since I was in my 30's.8/1/24 SW 165

I'm in! Breaking my goal down into a 10lb mini-goal feels amazing and connects well with my mindset right about now! I've already been tracking since August 1st, so I'm good to go. Thanks for creating this challenge. I look forward to cheering the group on and offering encouragement and support where I can. Let's do this!

Hello girls ! (is there a boy here?)
Last week was a good week. Average eating window 6h45, average calories intake 2400kcal (I am aiming at 2300).
Starting a week of vacation with friends. No scale here. Goal for this week will be to avoid too much chips, cheese and appetizers. There are also triathletes so swimming, biking, running and a lot of walking in the mountains is in the agenda for the next 3 weeks.
I wish you all a good week :)

Count me in. I am just coming off vacation to Vienna and Budapest and although I ate well, I walked everywhere! I lost 3.5 lbs last challenge and really will be striving to lose the 10+ lbs this round to land at 190. I am not giving up! ❤️

Wow! Amazing! Never give up, I love it!

hi there I just read this tip and thanks and I agree 1250 can be low and not fully focusing on that number especially with me not being able to exercise so I am not fully focusing on it .I been doing a lot of research etc on macros and tomorrow I will this be focusing more on my macros and taking the day to re program my foods …I am wanting to start fresh 😊and thanks for the well wishes

That is great @nature_moments (and a bit reassuring ahah)
Yesterday was a total food disaster 😅
Too much bread, too much alcohol, too much chocolate = too much of everything. So this week's goal is plain and clear:
🕗 Skip breakfast
🙅♀️ No snacking between meals
💡 Just eat normally — and well. Let’s go! 💪8 -
Hi, I don't have much to add but I feel like I need to check in to remain accountable. I am trying to add more fruit and veggies to my diet. We are eating out at restaurants less for better health and to save money. The portions are always way too big and have too much sodium. I am been exploring more green and grain bowls on line. There are thousands of recipes that look delicious and healthy. I finally got into a pair of pants I bought after Xmas last year, and I would like to wear them this year, so that means I need to eat mindfully.
Have a healthy day, friends!

My name is Donna. I am 65 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253. I would like to lose a total of about 100 pounds and have been working on it for too many years (since 2018). I weigh weekly but also on the 1st and last day of each month for a full month’s account.

CURRENT MONTH:
08/01 – 187.6 ✅ (Trend Weight – 188.0) I’m pretty much in the hole since I gained 3.8 lbs of fluctuation and travel weight since July 28th when I weighed in at a new low of 185.0 . So I am working that off now. It sure does come off much more slowly than it went on! This weight is something my body is much more comfortable with, but I am not so it’s GOT TO GO! I’ve been hanging around these numbers way too long. Good luck to all during this challenge. We’ve got lots of time to put a dent into it between now and October 31st when the challenge ends. By then, we’ll be much more ready for the Holidays! Let’s do it!!!!!
⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️08/05 – 185.8 ✅ (Trend Weight – 187.5) I’m happy to see the progress. It’s hard to believe I can gain 3.8 in one day trip of travel and it take so long to come back off. I’m still 0.8 above my low weight of 185.0 . I’m not giving up. I’ll just keep chasing it until it runs out of breath!

Back at it again! I need some accountability as my family could care less and I don't like posting my NSV's to Facebook. I was hoping to find a group that I could post in daily if needed to keep myself going in the right direction. Maybe even some friends to be able to cheer on!
