after all my meal prep and buying no junk food or take out and saying I will make better choices which I did and a week of healthy choices my downfall for the week not making excuses is sprained ankleβ¦no walking and way to much coffee { I have 2 but having 4}and cereal even with berries at night .I learn even these 3 is not a good combination so planning it better for next week and saying no to binge watching I am tired off losing and be at the same weight for yearsβ¦yes years my week β¦just frustrated need to journal more not sitting with tv π

Ate a lot of sweets and yummy food because itβs Festival month βShravanβ. but I will control the intake from today itself!
The positive thing is that I have started to pay attention to what I eat - and I have started walking.
At 112+ kg, simple walking feels like a big task!
But no complaints.. I will get better at it with more practice π

Hello everyone !
This week is a challenge, on holidays with friends. I am very active and I have managed to skip breakfast most days. Also skipped dessert yesterday⦠If I maintain in August I will already be happy and at the same time I don't feel my best in my summer clothes. But sustainable means I won't lose my weight overnight.
How are you all doing for this first week of the challenge ?

Hey friends! Welcome to our new friends!
Made some positive choices this past week:
Worked out twice this week. Finally went to the gym. Once I'm there, I love it. I did some biking, elliptical and weights. I even jogged once around the track. I used to love to jog.
Ate salads for lunch and lower carb for other meals.
Walked the neighbors' dog twice this week (love that pup)
Goals for next week:
Three workouts (Pilates + gym time)
Fruit every morning with yogurt. Does anyone have a better yogurt brand besides Chobani? I was hearing negative things about Chobani having plastic chemicals in their yogurt (class action lawsuit).

Hi! I would love to join this challenge. I am going to try to lose 20 lbs. by New Year's Eve, but I think it would be a great idea to aim for the first 10 lbs. gone by November, then aim for another 10 gone by the end of the year. I have jumped on and off these boards quite a bit, but now want to stay ON!
I will post my most recent weigh-in and stats here. My weigh-in days are Wednesdays.

I came here this morning to get motivated. I've done nothing but eat lately. I feel fat. I don't want to get on the scale. I'm back in the habit of weighing daily and I think that's not good for me. The scale either makes me mad. Or when it doesn't make me mad I feel like I've gotten away with eating poorly and I just keep going.
So this week is a new week. I may have to throw out some of the good food I've been eating. It's 8:30 am so I'm feeling optimistic. I just have to track food today and not get thrown off course later on. I know the pattern.
Patience!!!! Consistency!!! I may check back on here to stay strong. I don't want to gain weight. I know how to lose. I just have to do it! It's not insurmountable. I can do it. I'll power on through the weak moments. It's worth it. I'll feel so much better.
P.S. I have to have my chobani. I'm not giving it up.

@RubyRed427 Oh no about Chobani! That is the brand I typically buy also. I will have to dive into the rabbit hole and start investigating Chobani and options!

Try "Fage" (pr. "FIEyeh") plain, nonfat Greek yogurt. I find that to be very close to what "regular" Greek yogurt is supposed to taste like. When I can't find that, I get Siggi's nonfat, plain Skyr, which is also good, although it's more expensive.

Week 1/3 of vacation
Spent the week in the mountains with friends and smashed every activity in sight: hikes, trail-runs, cycling over Alpine passes, and a whopping 8 km in the pool. ποΈπ΄ββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
IF Stats:
- Food intake: ~2 900 kcal / day
- Intermittent fasting: 15 h fast (β9 h eating window)
Yesterdayβs monster hike nearly had my husband staging an intervention over skipped breakfast and snacks, so 9 hours feels fair given the circumstances. π
Now onto Week 2, just the four of us. Plan: skip breakfast except on big-ride days, eat whole foods, stay active, and accept that a little holiday weight is part of the deal.
@RubyRed427 : I am a fan of cottage cheese with pomegranate π
@faurotann : This is for life, you can start over every minute of every day. Just one good decision at a time and I am sur you will feel better.

@faurotann I hear you! I have high hopes and goals but by evening, I just feed my stress. I like your idea of tracking food. When I tracked my food for a period of time, it becomes a habit. I have to get back to that, too.

I just had to have a re-boot when I posted that last one. It helped. I had a really good day yesterday. And I haven't stepped on the scale today (Woo Hoo!!) The scale thing really affects me. I know that sounds strange to many people but it really is an obsession with me. NOT GOOD!
I feel very lucky. My challenges are so minor compared with other people. I can do this.

βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ08/12 β 182.6 β (Trend Weight β 186.3) I felt very ill last night and it was definitely food/Type 2 Diabetes related. But it seemed more than that. I had lost 6 lbs in 11 days and I think it had something to do with that being too quick. I have gained back one pound overnight due to having to grab carby, sugary food in volume to correct my medical situation. Iβm okay with the uptick today. I think I actually needed it to reassure my body that itβs okay. I am still down 6.2 from starting weight so progress is still being made. You can be sure I will closer monitor my blood sugars today with extra blood tests so I can see what is going on. However, Iβm very pleased with my progress in both the scale weight and the trend weight.

Good morning. Not much progress so far. My normal weigh in day will be Saturday but that won't work out this week as I have other plans and there won't be a scale around. I've been trying to eat less sugar and more whole grains.

@sondheimone congrats on the 3 lbs down. The weight lifting is great. I've been doing that and I definitely feel like it is making a difference in my size. It is a Non Scale Victory type of thing.
