Scale holding steady at 170 past few days. Bloodwork this was better than expected this week. Bone marrow biopsy this week I think. I want to add some activity back into my routine yet still not overdo it. Today would be a nice day to kayak but have to talk hubby into it.

@SuperMotivated56 - I'd love to hear any advice or suggestions on maintenance since you have been there for a bit. I am getting close and its a little worrisome to think about because I haven't been successful in the past.

@tishsmith101 - very glad to hear your bloodwork shows improvement. I hope you get to go kayaking. That sounds like a great way to spend to the day.

@ManifestingToday thanks for the info. Funny enough my old “standby “ SUV from 2008 is a AWD Hyundai Santa Fe. BEST CAR EVER. Great in snow and ice too. It goes anywhere in AWD. But like I mentioned she’s starting to show her age . Taking any roads trips more than an hour or two makes me nervous. This the reason for finding a replacement. I considered another one but after some research it seems the newer model Hyundai aren’t quite what they used to be for durability? Ofcourse most vehicles are that way. I guess you just never know. I even read some of the newer Toyota are having issues. That being said Fridays trip for car shopping was surprisingly successful. I found a good fit. Ended up with a 2 year old Chevy equinox AWD with only 40k on it. While that is considered Higher than normal annual mileage for the age of the car, it had all good maintenance records on the carfax and it was definitely in the right price range. In fact, they haggled a bit with me. So I got it for a 1k less than I thought I would. It’s not the fancy trim package all, pretty much the basic model but it’s well enough equipped for my needs and they are rated for reliability , efficiency and AWD . I’m happy with the purchase and luckily I had all my pre approval done beforehand with my bank, so aside from a little extra paperwork I was able to get it all done and took the car home Friday afternoon

I’m so glad to be done shopping.

@SuperMotivated56 thank you for such a thoughtful and thorough feedback on maintenance. You have it dialed in pretty well. So many of the things you mention, especially the part about people trying to derail or get you off your plan really resonates with me . So easy to get sucked into making bad choices in a social setting. I love your idea of having a plan in place but I would also add that there is a lot of value in learning to not feel like you have to explain yourself to anyone. I have learned to catch myself when I slip into trying to justify to others why I am doing what I am doing.. We don't need to explain our reasons. I have never been overly social but did have a group of people , I'll call them acquaintances, that I used to spend alot of time with because of my horse activities. I started to realize a few years ago that none of them were my friends.. (that's a whole different post ) In the end I pulled away and low and behold, no one noticed, no one reached out.. no surprise, I am better off for it. as a result I really don't socialize a ton, just have a few girlfriends I see every so often . I also covet my sleep since I do struggle with that but it is key with staying healthy.

@HappyDonkey75 - you're so very welcome - I'm always more than happy to share and anything that may help someone else, I'm grateful for. I hear you about not needing to justify yourself to anyone else. I have found that having my rock solid reasons ready, cuts through a lot of the noise and stops the nagging or frequent attempts of others.

I'm with you too in terms of rather having a smaller circle of real and supportive people around you. You really learn a lot about yourself and others through this process.

I also want to emphasise how important self-care and nurturing yourself is. It took me years to feel valuable enough to do this for myself - the more that I have nurtured myself though, the happier I have become, the more in control I have been and the more of a light I can be to others. You're absolutely worth it!! I'm rooting for you and you've got this!

Back after a weird few days of a virus – obviously didn’t supress my appetite as the scales show.

Had a small commission which was nice but money is tight here and I covered my hourly rate and expenses but not much more.  Was fun making it though.

Enjoyed a family member’s birthday celebration weekend that included a dinner out, wine, and a homemade brunch; delicious pie and homemade scones. Enjoyed everything within reason (split the dinner item and small piece of pie and had half scone) but back on track yesterday and focused on protein, veggies and fruit. ✅

Sitting here forcing down my afternoon protein drink in front of my planned strength workout this afternoon. I can't eat a couple hours before my workout. I also know I have not been getting my protein met lately which is 100% affecting my workouts, so today I have been hitting the protein kind of hard today. I really need to go find some clear protein powder again because whey protein is not always what I want. Blehck…

I would love to change my MFP name to YO YO (because that is the scale for me.. )but apparently it only lets you change your profile name once and I apparently already did that , although I don't recall.

Hot day today, pool time is on the schedule.. I got it vacuumed last night and its in the 90's today.. (right before we have a cool down later in the week)

@HappyDonkey75 I hear ya on the protein. Some days I love it in my coffee and other days I don't even want to think about it. But I have to keep getting it in somewhere to keep from losing muscle mass. It's been so humid I have no desire to work out at all. Also not a good mindset.

Work was rotten Monday, with me wanting to kick a couple coworkers in the shins. Yesterday was better. Fam is coming for dinner tonight, ordering Chinese takeout so I don't have to cook.

Weight this am was 169.5, steady as she goes. No other AML updates, kind of in limbo waiting for next treatment.

@tishsmith101 - I picked up some clear protein powder last night . Hoping it will be more enjoyable. Kicking co workers shins? I can 100% relate but I'd like to add in my manager to that group too. She's so useless.

I ran across another you tube workout video series that I like. I have been using Jefit app for the last few months which you can put together your own workouts with their recommendations and its a decent app (I also used Chatgpt for guidance on building my workouts) but every so often I need a kick in the pants or maybe a change of scenery with something already structured that I can just follow along with . Has anyone else used Cheryl Coulombe (Lift with Cee) videos? Here is the link to the workout I did yesterday.. I like the pace of it where you move quickly through the sets with very short breaks. I also like that she isn't a 20-30 year old . Goals - look like her in my 50's! She looks amazing.
