Yes @SofaKween I totally agree, there is often no logic to the scales!!! Sometimes I think about weighing myself less often because only the long term trends matter. But I like the daily intention and the check in here.

8/14-DNW- Leg day, 10K stepsOur intended merit increases have been delayed again at work. And the announcement only came after some business news article was released separately. Then we got an email less than 24 hrs later. What a joke. Not only are they not compensating us, they are being less than transparent about it. We are now essentially a year deferred from any increases in salary. My workload has not gone down this year, its only gone up.. Not happy , definitely not motivated to work hard. Morale is already bad. This won't help .

If there's no chance of changing jobs and your conscience allows it, then it's keep your head down at work and if you don't have time to get everything done then it doesn't get done.

The something else will require some training and licensure so some out of pocket cost up front. Probably doable though. I was hoping that raise /bonus would show up for my upcoming trip in September for some extra spending but so much for that. I can't do anything else about it so I have to keep chugging along
Having my parents over for chicken stirfry tonight. I have been craving chinese food and we have horrible take out options here, plus I don't need the salt or MSG to wreak havoc on me..

8/17- 155.0well I guess the scale wasn't lying . I am not sure what is going on . I haven't gone off the rails on any of my eating. I have actually been back to consistently tracking food this past week . I'd like to tell myself its muscle but somehow I doubt that. The only thing is that It could be that I am actually eating more than I was prior to tracking.. I actually started tracking because I suspected I was not hitting my macros consistently before. I won't lie, its discouraging. (as we all know) I want to see that 1-5-0 numbers in the worst way.. I will continue to track but I do need to probably adjust my calories/macros again since the last time I did I was in the 170's range.
I might pull the kayak out for a paddle today. After another round of cooler days, its going to be in the 80's.

@SuperMotivated56 I’ve been in maintenance for 7 months now. I feel frustrated, as you must be too. Hopefully we can find a way to break out of this and start losing again. I’m going to focus on reducing calories.

@Kupla71 I am indeed. I’ve been trying to find reasons - the reality is that I must just reduce calories, as you said. I started that approach yesterday, so we’ll see how that goes 💭

@HappyDonkey75 There have been periods of my career I have felt exactly the same. We see people do the bare minimum or worse with no consequences while we carry the load and get maybe a pat on the back. It's demoralizing but we do get through it. I'm with you in spirit. Wish I were near you, I'd go for a paddle any day!
Hubby did not want to paddle yesterday so we packed a lunch and went for a hike in a forest preserve. Cooler under the tress but no waterfall due to lack of rain. Trail was 3.1 rather than 2.1 miles but I took MANY breaks and had plenty of water. Blood work today and bone marrow biopsy Wed.
