    I’m 55 and 5’8”. My heaviest with MFP was 235.

    September 03: 222.8 Prelogged and ready to go!

    September 04: 224.4Β 

    September 05: 224.5… prelogged and ready. Must stop the creep and the gain! Felt extra snacky and anxious. We had the windows replaced in our home yesterday which is great, but now I have to reinstall all of our blinds and curtains…

    SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:

    🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/16-184.8 ❌ (Trend Weight: 184.8) A funny thing happened on the way to the…. Okay, anyway. Here’s the story (to explain the gain). Made a lovely dinner last night that I’ve made before. But instead of chicken breast it was boneless chicken thighs. Instead of roasted…sautΓ©ed in a pan. After all that work I gagged on the first bite. The meat was too hard. Now, this has always been the main crux of my eating disorders…texture. In the trash bin it went after all that work! So with no plan for dinner now, and STARVING did I make a quick good choice? Perhaps a tuna sandwich on low cal/low carb bread. Perhaps breakfast for dinner with eggs and avocado toast. Perhaps even just a quick can of soup, though processed it would be within calorie and carb limits. Nope. Straight for the boxed sweetened cereal left by DD for DGS. A bowl and Β½ later I was finally full (which of course didn’t last too long), so then I had to suffer the rest of the night. August was a very good month for me. You can see by the ❌'s that September has not been. It’s time to pull my head out of you-know-where and get with the program. My lower left area of my tummy/torso is hurting today. My intestines I think. It’s probably the sugar!

    I'm Becca, 53, 5'6".

    My continuing goals: Drink more than 64 oz of water, 25+ grams of fiber, 100+ grams protein, and 2 days per week gym workout along with at least one walk/jog day.

    I ended August at 275.8

    9/1- 275.5

    9/2- 272.8

    9/3- 273.2

    9/4- 273.5

    9/5- 274

    9/6- 274

    9/7- 270.4 (finally got enough water for the fiber intake….)

    9/8- 271.2

    9/9- 271.3 Today I did a 5k walk. My average pace was 26:29 and I did pause for traffic so I'm guessing it is closer to a 30 minute mile, but I'm still glad I did it. Now I have a baseline for progress.

    9/10- 271.8

    9/11- 274.3 Ooof. I know it's probably water, but still sucks.

    9/12- 272.5

    9/13- 274.1Β shrugsΒ I have no idea what my body is doing lately. I did a 3k brisk walk for activity.

    9/14-273.7 Today we hit the gym for a strength training day. I did start with treadmill for 15 minutes, 10 walking 5 jogging very slow.

    🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/17-184.0 βœ… - (Trend Weight: 184.7) I had a diverticulosis attack yesterday so I stuck mainly to liquids to rest my intestines. That’s what my Doc always recommends. It’s not always possible due to my diabetes and glucose drops, but yesterday turned out to be no problem (except for hunger!) No exercise as I was afraid I would get too weak. I didn’t worry about calories or carbs, just food that wouldn’t have to be digested. At the end of the day I logged everything and found my calories to be quite low but my carbs on the high end of my allowance. So I don’t know if this drop in weight will last but this is the reading this morning with no TMI in sight. Today are hair appts for me and my son. I will take him to lunch as is the custom. I will try very hard to be careful on my choices though I find myself very hungry. Perhaps a small snack before we go will help.

    🐝🐝🐝🐝09/18-187.8 ❌ (Trend Weight – 185.0) I’m up almost 4 pounds overnight. No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. I’m always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. I’ll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least I'm getting my workouts in at night.

No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. I’m always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. I’ll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least I’m getting my workouts in at night.

    🐝🐝🐝🐝09/19-185.0 βœ… - (Trend Weight: 185.0) With stomach still hurting I did a liquid diet yesterday eating similarly to what I did one day earlier in the week, trying to give my intestines a rest. This caused the overnight whoosh but there are still several extra pounds here that need to be contended with and my diuretic will likely help. My weight today is a very late weigh-in. I usually don’t weigh on Fridays at all due to my schedule. I have been eating more yogurt lately due to some delicious seasonal flavors I can only get once per year in the fall. I wonder if that is what is causing the stomach distress/gassiness? Pain has been spastic and intense.

That put the scale in a completely different spot. #2- my dinner was downright STUPID yesterday in every possible way. I ate it 5 hours early and it was 3 McDonald’s pies (2 pumpkin crΓ¨me and 1 apple). Thank you to my 98 pound size triple zero DD who left them out for me. My fault for caving, I know! I know! In her defense, I don’t think she expected me to eat all 3 at once or use them as a meal replacement! Anyway, I Starved for the rest of the day and caved at night for too many β€œhealthy” snacks putting me way over on calories and carbs. We’ll see what the scale tomorrow brings.

Yesterday’s meals were well thought out and followed but the snacks last night were unacceptable. I’ve really got to work on my late night habits (again!).     9/9- 271.3 Today I did a 5k walk. My average pace was 26:29 and I did pause for traffic so I'm guessing it is closer to a 30 minute mile, but I'm still glad I did it. Now I have a baseline for progress.

    9/11- 274.3 Ooof. I know it's probably water, but still sucks.

    9/12- 272.5

    9/13- 274.1Β shrugsΒ I have no idea what my body is doing lately. I did a 3k brisk walk for activity.

    9/14-273.7 Today we hit the gym for a strength training day. I did start with treadmill for 15 minutes, 10 walking 5 jogging very slow.

    9/18- 274.6

    9/19- 273.8 I'm still weighing daily, but haven't managed to log it in a timely fashion. I will be away from the scale this weekend. Next weight will be Monday.Β fingers crossed for good food weekend

    9/20-9/21- no weigh ins. We did a family weekend visit to see the child. We ate out every meal and sleep wasn't great. I'll get back on the scale and see where I'm at now.

Yesterday’s meals were well thought out and followed but the snacks last night were unacceptable. I’ve really got to work on my late night habits (again!). At this rate, I’ll be lucky if I can even get back to starting weight by the end of the month.

    🐝🐝🐝🐝 09/22-183.4 βœ… (Trend Weight: 184.7) So nice to see a drop. Progress! My tummy issues seem to be settling in now, much less pain. A couple of weeks ago I joined a local book club through our public library. I only had a couple of weeks to get through the book, but I managed and really enjoyed it. Tonight is the first meeting where I will meet the other members. I’m very nervous. Meeting new people and friends is something I’ve found to be a bit difficult as I’ve gotten older. Oh, the free-spirited days of being a trustworthy child and young adult who was not so self-conscious! Trying hard to stay engaged and putting myself out there in my retirement! I sure do miss my husband who is in Heaven now.
