SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:
ππππ 09/16-184.8 β (Trend Weight: 184.8) A funny thing happened on the way to theβ¦. Okay, anyway. Hereβs the story (to explain the gain). Made a lovely dinner last night that Iβve made before. But instead of chicken breast it was boneless chicken thighs. Instead of roastedβ¦sautΓ©ed in a pan. After all that work I gagged on the first bite. The meat was too hard. Now, this has always been the main crux of my eating disordersβ¦texture. In the trash bin it went after all that work! So with no plan for dinner now, and STARVING did I make a quick good choice? Perhaps a tuna sandwich on low cal/low carb bread. Perhaps breakfast for dinner with eggs and avocado toast. Perhaps even just a quick can of soup, though processed it would be within calorie and carb limits. Nope. Straight for the boxed sweetened cereal left by DD for DGS. A bowl and Β½ later I was finally full (which of course didnβt last too long), so then I had to suffer the rest of the night. August was a very good month for me. You can see by the β's that September has not been. Itβs time to pull my head out of you-know-where and get with the program. My lower left area of my tummy/torso is hurting today. My intestines I think. Itβs probably the sugar!

My continuing goals: Drink more than 64 oz of water, 25+ grams of fiber, 100+ grams protein, and 2 days per week gym workout along with at least one walk/jog day.

9/9- 271.3 Today I did a 5k walk. My average pace was 26:29 and I did pause for traffic so I'm guessing it is closer to a 30 minute mile, but I'm still glad I did it. Now I have a baseline for progress.

ππππ 09/17-184.0 β - (Trend Weight: 184.7) I had a diverticulosis attack yesterday so I stuck mainly to liquids to rest my intestines. Thatβs what my Doc always recommends. Itβs not always possible due to my diabetes and glucose drops, but yesterday turned out to be no problem (except for hunger!) No exercise as I was afraid I would get too weak. I didnβt worry about calories or carbs, just food that wouldnβt have to be digested. At the end of the day I logged everything and found my calories to be quite low but my carbs on the high end of my allowance. So I donβt know if this drop in weight will last but this is the reading this morning with no TMI in sight. Today are hair appts for me and my son. I will take him to lunch as is the custom. I will try very hard to be careful on my choices though I find myself very hungry. Perhaps a small snack before we go will help.

ππππ09/18-187.8 β (Trend Weight β 185.0) Iβm up almost 4 pounds overnight. No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. Iβm always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. Iβll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least I'm getting my workouts in at night.

No TMI x 3, no diuretic for several days due to busy schedule, out to dinner yesterday with son after the salon appointments, mini binge last night after getting the taste of sugar in my mouth. Yeah, all the things. Iβm always amazed at how big the overnight number can be, just from the fluid backup alone. No time again today for my medication, too many places to go on Thursdays. Iβll try tomorrow but honestly, it may have to wait until Saturday. At least Iβm getting my workouts in at night.
ππππ09/19-185.0 β - (Trend Weight: 185.0) With stomach still hurting I did a liquid diet yesterday eating similarly to what I did one day earlier in the week, trying to give my intestines a rest. This caused the overnight whoosh but there are still several extra pounds here that need to be contended with and my diuretic will likely help. My weight today is a very late weigh-in. I usually donβt weigh on Fridays at all due to my schedule. I have been eating more yogurt lately due to some delicious seasonal flavors I can only get once per year in the fall. I wonder if that is what is causing the stomach distress/gassiness? Pain has been spastic and intense.

ππππ09/20-184.4 β (Trend Weight: 184.9) Iβm happy to see a drop but donβt know if I believe it for two reasons. #1- my scale battery died (rechargeable) and I had to find a low to ground plug to plug it in while weighing. That put the scale in a completely different spot. #2- my dinner was downright STUPID yesterday in every possible way. I ate it 5 hours early and it was 3 McDonaldβs pies (2 pumpkin crΓ¨me and 1 apple). Thank you to my 98 pound size triple zero DD who left them out for me. My fault for caving, I know! I know! In her defense, I donβt think she expected me to eat all 3 at once or use them as a meal replacement! Anyway, I Starved for the rest of the day and caved at night for too many βhealthyβ snacks putting me way over on calories and carbs. Weβll see what the scale tomorrow brings.

ππππ 09/21-184.4 γ°οΈ (Trend Weight: 184.9) I was happy to see the weight held up after I was so unsure yesterday. Relief! Yesterdayβs meals were well thought out and followed but the snacks last night were unacceptable. Iβve really got to work on my late night habits (again!). At this rate, Iβll be lucky if I can even get back to starting weight by the end of the month.

Yesterdayβs meals were well thought out and followed but the snacks last night were unacceptable. Iβve really got to work on my late night habits (again!). At this rate, Iβll be lucky if I can even get back to starting weight by the end of the month.
ππππ 09/22-183.4 β (Trend Weight: 184.7) So nice to see a drop. Progress! My tummy issues seem to be settling in now, much less pain. A couple of weeks ago I joined a local book club through our public library. I only had a couple of weeks to get through the book, but I managed and really enjoyed it. Tonight is the first meeting where I will meet the other members. Iβm very nervous. Meeting new people and friends is something Iβve found to be a bit difficult as Iβve gotten older. Oh, the free-spirited days of being a trustworthy child and young adult who was not so self-conscious! Trying hard to stay engaged and putting myself out there in my retirement! I sure do miss my husband who is in Heaven now.
