I'm Jillβ¦ I'm 55, 5'8", and have been married now for 30 years! Mentally I feel like I'm in my 30's and I'm hoping for my body to get back there. π€£
My consistency goals this month:
π§ Get my mornings started right by pre-logging and checking off "To do" items before workΒ

October 2nd: 224 prelogged and ready to cut the grass! Time to get in those steps!
October 3rd: 222.6 YES! Pre-logged and ready to go for the day! Today's job is to seal up the exterior cracks and crevices of our home to keep out the critters as they seek shelter for the cold.

October 16: 227β¦ got my Covid and flu shots yesterday, so Iβm taking it easy and trying to refocus on my prioritiesβ¦ taking care of myself.
Iβm a stress snacker and I snack all dayβ¦ Iβm also a bored snacker and a happy snacker. Really donβt need a reason. I know that I need to refocus snacking to walking, or drinking waterβ¦ I just have to stop thinking about it and do it. Today sounds like a great day to begin.

A little over 3 hours of sleep. Did I mention that I didnβt EXACTLY stick to my pre-logged food since the entire day was askew? I probably wonβt weigh tomorrow due to the travel and the havoc that causes me. I will need at least 24 hours to let the dust settle. So I got my 2024 tax package back from the accountant today. My refund from Federal will cover what I owe the State taxes and I can pay that immediately online on Michigan.gov even though the Federal refund will likely take months, especially with the government shut down. But at least the Fed refund will cover the state bill. Is that what they mean by βrobbing Peter to pay Paul?β. Ha!

SECOND HALF OF THE MONTH:
πππππ 10/16-187.2 β (Trend Weight: 183.9) Holy Bloat, Batman! Almost 5 lbs overnight? Yikesβ¦. I absolutely did not mean to weigh today. I woke up after hardly no good rest last night very groggy. Got on scale without thinking and THAT woke me up! I didnβt think Iβd eaten THAT bad yesterday but my last meal WAS very very late again. Indigestion all night. Shocked this morning but as long as I weigh, I share. Stomach feels hard. Whatβs in there? Gas bloat? Water retention? Baby? HA! Thatβs certainly what it feels like to the touch. Anyhow, getting DGS off the bus today and 4 day weekend begins with him and foodie daughter. I have absolutely ZERO interest in whatβs in her totes and backpack. Nothing is helping this indigestion, not even my prescription for it. I know I did not eat an extra 17,500 calories so Iβm quite sure some of this will come off in the next couple of days. I havenβt exercised in the past couple of days either, so back to that and all the good habits and tools.

πππππ 10/17-182.0 β (Trend Weight: 183.7) I decided to weigh on Friday this week anyway as my other challenge was ending today and I didnβt want to leave it at the travel bloat of yesterday. Quite the drop today, just as it was quite the overnight increase. I may actually weigh a bit higher due to the very late weigh-in today and some possible dehydration , but suffice it to say, βbye bye bloatβ. Back in business and looking forward to some actual fat loss soon.

πππππ10/18-182.4 β (Trend Weight β 183.6) Iβm starting the round 0.4 up from yesterday but I think this is just a fluid adjustment after such a large drop yesterday (5.2 lbs overnight!) Trend weight continues to go down and Iβm feeling pretty good. I may be traveling today with DD and DGS a couple of hours each way to do some Halloween shopping for costumes and such. Up, up, up will go the water weight if we go. The fluid retention seems to be getting worse when I travel. Iβll have to talk to my cardiologist about that. My appt is in December

Iβm a stress snacker and I snack all dayβ¦ Iβm also a bored snacker and a happy snacker. Really donβt need a reason. I know that I need to refocus snacking to walking, or drinking waterβ¦ I just have to stop thinking about it and do it. Today sounds like a great day to begin.Β

Up, up, up will go the water weight if we go. The fluid retention seems to be getting worse when I travel. Iβll have to talk to my cardiologist about that. My appt is in December

@ozdeelite If there is no reasonable explanation then it is probably water weight due to some hormonal shifting. That means it will likely flush away within 24 to 48 hours. Remember, don't let the air out of the other 3 tires just because one is deflated. I'm sure this is temporary and will re-adjust. Hang in there, my friend.
