Happy Monday Everyone!!

Went to the knee doctor for another shot on my good knee and talked about the surgery more. I am very confident with my doctor and feel I am making the right decision. Just found out Phil went to the same office , different doctor for his hip. The doctor told him he needs a new hip and hopes to get it done in about a month. Phil needs to get permission from his other doctors for the go ahead on surgery. I will talk to my husband and see if he wants me to cancel my surgery since his son sounds like he will be having surgery around the same time. Geez, I can't even have surgery without him getting attention. :explode:

Good to hear from you Phoebe, hope all is well with you. If you go back in posts you will see my son is training to be an independent over the road truck driver. He is very excited. :happy:

Marie, I hope your news is good and your tail bone is ok. Let us know what the doctor said.

I guess I will live. He said i just had a badly bruse bone and will take about 2 months to get well.as far as my back he sai I have arthreitis and all he can recomend is avill but I can't take it for it effect my my bad kidney.The MRI did not show any pinch nerves so all is good from there. Still haven't heard about my power chair.

Happy Tuesday!!! Today is my hubby's birthday, he is 71. We are just going to go to a little diner in town with our DIL and granddaughter to celebrate, we don't celebrate as much as we did when we were younger.:laugh:

Gigi, have a wonderful time in SF, we were there about 25 years ago when my step daughter lived near there. It was great with lots of fun stuff to do. :drinker: I agree with you and I am going to have my surgery, no matter what Phil does.

Marie, what's the word from the doctor? I love your new profile picture, you are so beautiful.

If you noticed I moved my ticker back to 3 pounds to go. I still think the doctor's office read the scale wrong because when I went to the knee doctor and weighed myself on their scale it was back to 132. My scale at home also says 132, so I have moved my ticker back to needing to lose the last 3 pounds AGAIN!!! I have been good on my calories but very bad on exercising. I better get on the stick soon since I won't be able to do that much once I have the surgery. I need a good kick in the butt!!! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: I will try to ride my stationary bike everyday until surgery, I just would love to be able to say I am under 130 although most people think I am just being silly. :bigsmile: Pleasing ourselves is what it is all about correct????

Sandy My MRI did not show up anything. I just hae badly bruised taill bone.And will take at least 2 months to heal. Nothing on my power chair yet from the insurance office
I am glad you are going ahead with your suugery. However I know you were thinking more about Babe than Phil to postone it. Have a good day.

Good afternoon from mostly cloudy Saskatchewan. It has been really cool but the sun is trying so hard to come out today. My youngest son and his girlfriend are planning to go camping for their holidays so I surely hope it warms up for them. They both work so hard and it seems that they have to leave town to not be called for work. Sometimes it is painful to be the boss I guess. I am just making some lunch and then it will be time to go get Neil. Last night he went for dinner at his new home. Apparently he really liked it as he doesn't want to wait for the weekend to move in. However, we won't be ready for him before then so he will have to wait. I am feeling more anxious as the date approaches.

Marie -- glad there is nothing broken but I know bruises can be very painful. Take it easy. I hope the chair works out for you.

Gigi -- I am so jealous! I love SF and haven't been for a long time. Have great fun.

Sandy -- I am glad that you feel so ready for the surgery. It will be so wonderful to have good knees.

Barbie -- Is it getting cool again or is the weather still nice for walking?

Phoebe -- Nice to hear from you. Are you on a work break for a bit?

Hi Gayla, we have been home for a few days but we leave tomorrow.
Marie, I won't be joining you on the Sept Challenge of LCs. seems to be some disagreements there.

I'm going to start my low carbs tomorrow, although the only reason is that I lost weight on it. I got tired of it quickly, as I missed my vegetables and soups..most soups have carbs in them, when we travel that is, and my health issues require me to limit many sauces/spices now. I'm going to give it a try, wish me luck/ or strength!!

Well I got to the gym so far monday and tuesday and both days for an hour, trying extra hard this week because when I go for vacation I 'll be eating and I love "Bread" specially the hard crust bread and SF is well known for great bread and fantastic food. Sandy so glad you made the right decision on you surgery, keep exercising until that day, you will get weight off, you're not being

:flowerforyou: today we drove from the San Jose area, around the back side of San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge, through wine country and through the redwoods to get to Eureka where we visited our new grandson, Jesse, who is absolutely beautiful and his mother even let us hold him.

:flowerforyou: we'll be here two nights and expect to see our son and his family although since this is a weekday and they work and the kids go to school, it will be tricky and brief.

:flowerforyou: the weather here is in the 60's but I got to walk for awhile after we checked into the motel......since Jake did all the driving and i slept a bit along the way, he got to nap while I walked.
