August "Move It" Challenge

It's August...this month you have two options:

1) Move and shake it for 360 minutes a week ...so, put down that mouse and get going
2) Burn 2500 calories with a HRM

Who's up for this challenge? We go from Monday to Sunday

Walk a dog...If you don't have a dog, borrow one....plant a garden or weed someone elses...put down those car keys and ride a bike...start a new sport...let's get going

    First, YAY! Excited for Augusts challenge
    Here's last week minute numbers.. starting today I'll be using my HRM, I'll use 2500 as a base for this month and see if I'd like to go higher for next month.

    Last week
    Monday- 30 min cleaning
    Tuesday - 180 min canning
    Wed-nothing
    Thurs- 62 min zumba
    Fri- work
    Sat-work
    Sunday - 62 min zumba

    Total- 334 Remaining- 26 I'm ok with that

    I'm in if thats cool :) i don't have a HRM, but am down for the 360 minutes, need the encouragement, support and motivation. thanks!

    I am in it for the 360 minutes!! I did go for a short walk last night and plan on running tonight. I really need this!

    I like this challenge..I'm in! Plus, this will be good motivation for me to keep my butt in gear next week while we are on vacation :smile:

    Just took the dog and girls out for a walk. CrossFit tonight. Will log my time at the end of the day.

    I'd like to join too. I don think the 360 minutes will be TOO difficult but I think the 2500 calorie burn will be a challenge. I'm in pretty good shape so it has to be a HARD workout for me to burn more than 300 calories.

    unfortunately the 1/2 marathon training has been put on hold officially :( might be moving farther away than originally anticipated and can't commit to a race i don't know that i can run...i'm bummed but i am going to try to keep up my running just not so far :)

    Tuesday: 29 minnutes running/walking.

    Getting 360 minutes is looking pretty difficult but I will keep at it.

    I'm up for the challenge!!

    This week so far:
    Monday- 26 min of Burn It Off & 20 min of Recharge/380 calories

    Total: 46 min/380 calories

    Remaining: 314 min/2120 calories

    Awesome for the new month! Mostly just bookmarking this, but I plan to do 60 mins. on the elliptical tonight. Maybe if I post it - I'll be more inclined to get up and do it instead of going to bed.

    Got in a little extra, no car today so i had to walk to the bank instead of drive. Guess its better towards my goal!
    Also don't have a HRM, so just logging the cals mfp gives me.

    Monday: 58/486
    Tuesday: 80/496

    Total: 138/982
