Lol we all want to be skinny... Don't kid yourself.
But whatever helps you sleep at night I suppose!

    Wrong!
I don't want to be skinny. It isn't about the number on the scale, what others perceive has "beautiful, attractive or the right body type." It's about me being HAPPY, me looking in the mirror and loving myself again and if I get to 160 and look into a mirror I love what I see. Well, that's when I stop losing and maintaining. It's about ME and my vision of who I am, not yours and anyone elses.

I'm not going to bother reading all the negative snarky comments. We're all allowed to have our own goals, people! Go pick on the pro-anas if you feel the need to be rude. ;)

OP- Good for you for embracing your body type and striving to work on your strengths!

Ummm....how is "picking on people with eating disorders okay or better?

    You assume a lot.

    Nope. I don't.
Skinny to me doesn't mean stick thin it means, fit, small, healthy.
    Makes me laugh.
"Oh, I don't even want to be small"
Umm ya, you do. You want to so badly you have to convince yourself you don't to make yourself feel better.
Some people use denial or set themselves up to fail so they can say "they didn't even want to in the first place"
    That's all I see.

I  this post. And agree completely! When the inevitable zombie invasion happens I want to be able to out run, out wrestle, and out climb them! :drinker:

    This a 1000 times...
It's already my #1 reasons on my profile why want to get in shape:bigsmile:
Guess next thing I will start to learn to shoot arrows with a crossbow :smokin:

    Agreed!
Everyone needs to be happy -- whatever the weight is.
That was part sarcasm, however, I think a healthy weight (BMI) is something to strive for.
I get called skinny lots and I am 138 pounds and have a normal BMI, healthy and strong.
    That's what I mean.

Oh yeah, I forgot we were all here for the same things. We all think the same, want the same things, believe the same things and do the same things. Silly me. Thank you for reminding me that I'm exactly like you.

I hate this post, that is all.

    Why?

I love that you have a realistic outlook. You know what your body is capable of and you are making the best of it. I too have broad shoulders and although I've never been athletic, it's nice to think I could be that.

Because she could have posted about what she wants without saying she doesn't want to be skinny. Why else mention skinny other than to put it down.

That's reading way too much into a post that doesn't say anything negative about being skinny or about anyone who is skinny or wants to be skinny.

I'm not here to be skinny. I don't have the body to be skinny. I have broad shoulders, big thighs, big hips, and a big butt. I always will. I'm built to be strong. I'm built to be athletic. That's what I want to achieve. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes ma'am. That describes my goals exactly :)

    A. Skinny is a subjective term, my skinny isn't your skinny I'm sure.

    B. You still assume a lot.

    C. I haven't failed at any of my goals, I amazing myself every day.

    D. I still have no desire to be skinny or 'small'.

    E. I want this:

    esq-serena-williams-1212-lg.jpg

No one is calling her 'skinny'.
