Daily Check In - Winter 13/14

Ladies,
My 71 year old mom just passed away at 2:50 today. She started feeling bad on Wednesday and on Thursday we called 911. She was admitted into ICU and 24 hours later passed away - pneumonia, heart attack, septic shock and so on... Such a very sad day for me. She was fine when I was at her house on Monday. I went over on Wed and Thurs. to check on her and that's when I called 911. So scary - I thought I had more time with her. She still needed to go see my daughter cheer and get her award at school.
I really need to find some strength to get through this.

I'm still struggling a bit. I've got a bum left foot (plantar-fasciitis - diagnosed years ago and comes and goes, is worse this time), and my wonky right knee from sledding over a week ago. I did go to step class last Friday and Saturday, rested Sunday ... and then yesterday both injuries were bothering me so I skipped any exercising. I did body pump today because this morning both foot and knee felt good - now they hurt again. Very frustrating! And my eating is all over the place. I really need to get a plan and get focused again.

ISTPAUL - Sorry about knee and foot. I had a sore foot a couple of weeks ago and I could hardly walk on it.
Mine was a cramp in my arch but I roll my foot on a ball and that helps a lot. I hope you get better soon.

I have been having cheat thoughts lately with food, some crackers and cheese slices around
when I start dinner. :ohwell: I have thrown out the cheese slices which are WW but still
its process and no good. Today will be stay on track. Now this happened the last time I
was on this plan so I have caught myself this time and will try to focus today and from now on.

I had lunch with a friend today and we talked about South Beach. She is very interested in
nutrition and she is taking courses to be a nurse(lives in the US). She asked how many
calories I am using in a day and I told her since I am tracking everything right now. I never
did the first time I was on this plan. She thinks I am in starvation mode, but I did lose 2
pounds this week, but I also told her I was hungry at times mostly at night after dinner.
I am sending her the book title and she is going to check it out for me. Can't hurt to get
some opinions.

I am having problems with my foot again, so made an apt to see the chiropractor and
see what she says plus have a treatment on it. It is becoming chronic lately. :ohwell:
