I had to break up with my hippie shrink. I haaaate trying to find a new psychologist! She came highly recommended and has helped 3 people I know, so I had high hopes. We had our third session the other day and she started be saying shizz that didn't even make sense. She then gave me a "tool" that is intended for relaxation, yet is mentally and physically painful for me and then told me to use that tool out in my daily life...even though it CLEARLY did the opposite of relaxing me. I'm on the fence about meds (sooo many bad experiences, none great) and she keeps asking me about this genetic metabolic testing that costs $10k but "with insurance, might be as low as $200". I told her I haven't made a decision about meds yet so considering pricey testing that is solely for determining meds isn't high on my priorities list. And then to top it all off...as I was leaving...she sighed.
I'm hopeless enough, lady! You SIGHED as I left?! I know I'm a lot to handle and hearing my history sounds like a lot of work to be had but sheesh...that was somewhat defeating...

It's also my 3rd anniversary since I've joined MFP! Although it took until THIS year for me to get my *kitten* together enough to actually lose weight. I'm thinking about putting my original starting weight on here but I'm afraid I will see how far I've come and settle for where I am right now.

After he 'broke up' with me (even though he claims we were never really 'together') he started banging some crazy waitress with a pink mohawk. I met her while visiting his parents the day after my birthday. She got into his phone and started sending me threatening texts. I did NOTHING to instigate it. I just told her what he had done to myself and his girlfriend before me. She freaked, we're talking 'chop my "saggy tits" off(I was sensing some breast envy here) and put them in a blender and feed them to my mother's cut off head' type things here. My lieutenant was NOT having it.
I had to file a police report and he(Douche Canoe) tried to apologize but my lieutenant already knew I wasn't speaking to him ever again and would NOT let him talk to me.
In the end he quit his job(all this happened on a company cell phone) because his boss found out he was lying to him about work that wasn't getting done, he cut off contact with the girl and she went back to her fiance all heartbroken(yeah I know right?), his parents kicked him out for stealing a T.V. from them and pawning it(he also stole some of his dad's prescription pain drugs), so he had to move in with his ex-wife and sleep on her couch.
ANYWAY, after all that, his (adoptive) dad gave me a 925 sterling silver ring with my birthstone(amethyst) in it (he's a bit of a whitesmith) and said I was like the daughter he never had and that he and Shawna(his wife and DC's adoptive mom) loved me and I was welcome in their home whenever.
Even their other sons like me, Austin and Tyler. Apparently, I am the smurf and DC has lied too much for them to care anymore.
So yeah...now he's seeing some girl named Krista and judging from what Shawna tells me(Lord knows Shawna is TOO honest sometimes...) he is starting to do the same things to her that he did to me. I feel bad for her but that last time I reached out to a woman that DC was torturing, I ended up receiving violent threats and having to file police reports and restraining orders. Too much work. NOT WORTH IT. So Shawna is trying. I just hope she gets out while she still has her sanity because mine is now totally questionable.
