Oooooh I'm up late enough for night shift thread!!!!1
-
Here's hoping both of you hear about the jobs soon.0
-
You'll catch on with a bit of practice @showerbeer182
Still freakin' cold here, although supposed to warm up to +6C on Wednesday (and rain!!). I am praying that it does not happen, work would be unspeakable in those conditions.
Right now I'm wearing the beaver fur Mountie hat - there's nothing like real fur to keep you warm. Sounds like it's soon to be the sou'wester.
Crossing fingers for your new jobs, gals! Go forth and conquer!

This is two weekends in a row I'm sick at work and no one to cover my shift. I can't seem to catch a break lately.0

Sending nothing but good vibes your way!!sufferlandrian wrote: »This is two weekends in a row I'm sick at work and no one to cover my shift. I can't seem to catch a break lately.
Boo, I hope you feel better soon. I've been there and it's zero fun.
I've decided to just stop eating so I'll lose weight...grrr. Not really but this is getting hard. I've been working on having a calorie deficit but that doesn't seem like it's enough. I haven't been strict enough with my food choices but not so bad that I should've gained 7lbs in the past month. I'm gonna ask my dr in March what I need to do.0 -

Boo! Feel better! I'm sick, too, but at least I don't have to be at work.0 -
Sending virtual bowls of steaming chicken broth to sickies out there!

@BodyByBex Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fab
@sufferlandrian Aww that sucks. I'd rather be ill at work than in my free time though my current cold is making just thinking hard at times!0 -
Finally getting over my sinus infection. Z-Packs work wonders. Now I have to catch up on the records I didn't do when I was trying to rest to get over my cold. I hate records but that does mean cases are coming in. We did have a couple really cool cases this weekend but we had 12 we had to put down. That makes records easier to complete but harder to get started on.1
-
Ugh, 12 to put down.... sad paperwork indeed!
My first night back was super quiet, even the TransCanada Highway was empty for most of the night0 -
Empty highways are good. No fatalities when they are empty.1

Got the job!3

WOOOO! HOOOO! Jennifer! Celebration time - mani pedi, big bouquet of flowers, theatre or fave band tickets with a friend!!0
-
That all sounds awesome...and here I was feeling self-indulgent for buying myself a sweater off the clearance rack by way of celebration! I like your idea much better!0
-
Sweater sounds pretty cozy too! OK, add that to the list too, lol.0
-
@jennifer_417 Awesomeness!!!!!!
@sufferlandrian 12? God bless you and your coworkers, I couldn't do it.
I'm also glad to see that most seem to be getting over their cooties. I'm working more OT this evening, lucky me. My weekend off is coming but not quick enough lol0 -

YAY! @jennifer_417 !!!!
I hope everyone is feeling better. My weight is currently up and down which is bugging the SMURF out of me. I know it's probably water weight but I ate at maintenance today because *kitten* it!
@sufferlandrian 12 down? That's some sad records.
But at least you're feeling better physically.
@bethanie0825 Yay OT?
Still waiting as patiently as possible to hear back from the county. I want this job so badly.
I'm currently looking at using my tax return to get a new mattress, bed frame, and bedding. But I feel like I'm counting my chickens before they're hatched because the LAST time I got excited about a tax return, I had it taken away.
I'm pretty sure I am out of years that they can ding me on, but I dunno.0 -

Definitely yay for OT. I think I'm about to get screwed over on one of my student loans so I need to get the extra hours while I can. I'm on income based repayment; last year my husband and I filed married joint. I have a feeling they will take his income into account even though we don't share but two bills. And one savings account. The crappy catch is that if we file married but separate, I can't claim my student loan interest as a deduction.
Catch 22 all day long.0 -
